She gave a fantastic recommendation for food for our welcome dinner (shout out to Tacos Los Chubby's), and helped plan our dessert and late night snack options which the guests RAVED about! Jessica worked within our budget to find the most cost effective way to spread staff out over our events to achieve the most support which was greatly appreciated. The staff - Julieta, Dillon, Aramis, and Hilario, were by far one of the biggest highlights of our wedding! They were the most hardworking, kind, and helpful people, and we truly could not have done the events without them. Our wedding day had a huge amount of wind and they all were extremely calm and willing to pivot to move all wedding tables into a different space very quickly. We heard about a few things later on that happened that they all handled without telling us too which was great. When we woke up in the morning, we were so surprised to see everything cleaned up and packed up for the rental company pick up the next day which was the most wonderful surprise! Julieta and Dillon worked at both our welcome party and wedding, and I think every single guest at some point or another came up to us to compliment them! They finished the tasks we gave them very quickly, then found new tasks to do all day and night long. We had a few conference calls, and a walk thru at the venue and she produced a perfect table map and timeline. I instantly felt at ease! She ran our rehearsal so well and on the day of I was able to just relax as she handled decorating and getting everything and everyone where they needed to be. After the reception, she and her assistant got everything into the house in a super organized way, making it much easier to pack up the next day. We found out day before the wedding that her computerized version of seating arrangements was "just an approximation." So seating was way off from how we had imagined and we had to make last minute adjustments. She does not know how to run a rehearsal and announced to all that she had never seen a wedding like ours before! (The men walking to the front while bridesmaids walked down alone). This was followed by her lining up all backwards and everyone was trying to tell her it was wrong. So much confusion that the pastor finally took over saying, "Friends, I'm now running this rehearsal." She should've been embarrassed, but she wasn't. The day of the wedding she asked me how to display the table menus - one for each table. I had previously asked her how many frames to bring and she told me. I brought extra, but it wasn't enough. No problem, she said, we can just put the ones without frames up against the centerpieces. How tacky! As guests began to arrive, a friend asked where she could put her wedding gift. When I asked Alyssa, she said that "no one brings gifts to weddings anymore," so there wasn't a place for them. The wedding was to have bubbles on each seat. Not on mine, and I'm the MOB! Didn't get to blow bubbles for my daughter. And others felt the same way. What part of "every seat " is hard to understand? At the reception, wine was to be self-serve on the table and would then be replenished as needed. When I noticed some friends had no wine, her lame excuse was that she thought it would be nice to serve our guests. But those glasses were empty!! There's more but you get the picture. Along the planning way, when asked for lists of what she should be doing and when, her response was that we had no need to worry because it was all in her head. But it clearly was not. We paid a lot for her services. Almost $6000, not including flowers. The day ended up beautiful but because we had to work around her. Such a disappointment. The most disappointing things is when I reached out to her to discuss all of this after the wedding, she took absolutely no responsibility for anything. She actually thinks she did a great job. I'm here to tell you she did not.
