This place was horrible. Such bad service and the lies just kept coming. Trying to sell me a broken truck as is. Using multiple banks to try to get my business approved. Tried so many short cuts to negotiate price on the truck, I had a diagnostic on the truck done and sensors weren't working and they said they would fix it and then 2 days later said they wouldn't fix the truck and they were selling to me in the condition it was in. I'm not sure what's happening at Peterson's but it's a complete Trainwreck! They had my Sprinter van for over 5 months!!! Put $8,000 into it!!! Gave it back to me with the ignition switch falling out of the dash where someone either tried to steal it or they removed it and forgot to put it back in. Has the exact same code that went in with and now look at what they did to my exhaust system after they replace my particulate filter! Never ever ever again they just need to go out of business. I think they're having severe family problems his wife is going to prison for 12 years for killing somebody in a drunk driving accident! Now it's bleeding over into his work. I requested a call back from the service manager which of course never happened. These guys are Beyond hacks! I can't believe that they're still in business??? read more

This would probably sound unfair, but I always come here great and quick service but today I got to the counter asked for a part, they got my last 8 of the VIN and the gentleman got a call drop the pan and start talking on the phone looking at the computer for 10 min, when I asked if he has it he look at me and point in the phone, I asked if I can please get help and first thing he says is "I have a customer with an attitude" I asked to talk to the manager and he wouldn't call it, he point to go inside the building, I look for someone and I got the part in 3 mín, paid and leave! This is a professional working place, you can't play with people time just because! I would understand a line or complications but I was all alone in the place and he just have to say wait and don't just let me standing right there. read more

I have a motorhome with a Cat engine, and this is the local Cat engine repair facility for me. I was referred here by Caterpillar corporate when asking how to deal with a coolant leak for my motorhome. Nick, the service writing supervisor, said they don't work on motorhomes and refused to service my vehicle. For the next 2 weeks, I contacted over 15 mechanics and RV shops. They all referred me back to Peterson, saying that's where I needed to get my Cat engine serviced. I contacted Nick again and he refused again to assist me. He referred me to two other places. One said they don't do engine work like this and the other never responded to my emails, phone messages or faxes. No one would help me, so I started calling mobile mechanics. I finally got a mobile mechanic out of Martinez to assist me, which of course cost me extra for the long distance service fee. The same day he was working on my engine, the service manager of Peterson trucks emails me saying they would work on my engine after all. Too little, too late, and I never should have had my cat engined motorhome refused service at the local cat repair shop that everyone (including Cat corporate) referred me to. read more

Been here for more then 100 times and he most of the time there are some issues with parts, either they forgot to tell me over the phone they are out of stock or just wrong parts. Some time it takes me couple of hours to get the part some times weeks. I hope there will be more locations in bay star where you can by parts for international truck some day read more

I am a small business owner. I took my truck in to get diagnosed. They said the diesel particulate filter was cracked and we needed a new one. Their quote was $6000. I took the truck in for a second opinion. They said the filter was not cracked. Just dirty. They cleaned it out for $300 and now my truck runs perfectly. I'm wondering if the $12,000 I paid 3 months prior for the same truck was even necessary. Never again will I take my trucks to these crooks. read more

Bought CAT Dump truck. Bob, our salesman was great and a pleasure to work with. That's where it STOPPED. Worst service department we have ever expirenced. They fight you on warranty issues and forget to order replacement parts. You have to constantly call them to get them working on your truck and they refuse to call you with a status of repairs. Even with a service appointment, plan to have your truck sit in their yard for a min. of a day before they even touch it. They even claimed they lost our truck one time. Went with Peterson Trucks because of great expirenace's with Peterson Equipment. Two totally differant method's of operation, trust me! I agree with Cory F. and Kevin J. read more

Peterson Powers Systems is an awesome company ! Their staff is very friendly and very helpful. They are also involved in the community. Came in for a specialty battery cable with plug. Small little thing. Credit for finding and having it. They cut me a deal. But still $330 for two little cables that should have been a fraction of that. Not petersons fault probably. But ouch, thanks to International. read more

worst service i have ever received from these people. so i made an appointment to have my truck looked at and get an estimate on the repairs and also have them check an existing repair that i had them do this was back in February when i made the appointment. so i was told to bring it ion the morning and they will get some one to look at it. a week goes by and i have not heard from them so i call to figure out whats going on with my truck they said they have not looked at yet they said they will move it to the front of the line and check it out a long story short they had my truck a month and a half and now the repairs are complete but forgot to check the existing repair for the leaks that it has caused my truck if you want to be screwed and with your truck for a month and half use these people every time i call they have no idea whats going on and no one can tell me if my truck has been looked at or not. don't use these people they will screw in every way possible and make false promises this will be the last time my company will use these guys. read more
