I now live in WI but my divorce proceedings are in another state and I had a question as to whether I could hire an attorney from the state I currently reside in. Just a simple question. I had contacted three other law firms before with the same question (Di Renzo and Bomier, Remley and Sensenbrenner and Sterling Law Offices) in which I received zero response from. I sent an e-mail to Herrling Clark and had gotten almost an immediate response from Lois Staus who is the paralegal for Kelly S. Kelly and Paula Hamer answering my question. Even though I have not used this law firm before, it is clear they are there to help you and not just there for their own financial gain. My contact with the other firms with zero response shows if they have no financial gain from you, they won't help. Dan Hoff stated it was because Amy and her client don't "see eye to eye" (even though nothing has been discussed) and there has been a breakdown of communication. He also stated that Amy was too busy with a current trial to respond to her client. He further went on to state that the client was rude to his staff (all because the client tried to schedule an in-person meeting to discuss his case). These things were never mentioned to the client prior to my google review. This type of behavior is childish and unfair.
