My divorce proceedings are in another state and have gone on ridiculously too long. All I wanted to know was if it was possible to hire a different attorney in the state I now reside in. Simple inquiry, right?! I was told he was on vacation and he would do an over the phone consult the following week when he got back to let me know if this is at all feasible. I received no phone call, no e-mail, no response whatsoever. I guess if they see no dollar signs they aren't interested in helping someone with a simple inquiry. What this says (to me), they will be there if they have a financial gain to earn from you.
