This is the go to market for the local Korean community and has been for over 40 years. They've changed ownership a couple times but have maintained consistent quality and a good selection for how small the store is. They make fresh rice cake Tues and Friday. The prepared food here at as good as homemade and made fresh in-house. The people who make the rice cake are trained by a family who have made rice cake for generations they used to run a rice cake house on the south side of town decades ago before combining with this grocery. The baked goods are delivered from Denver. They have a smaller selection of household goods as the focus here is grocery. I think their selection has only gotten better with the modernization of transportation making deliveries of fresh produce easier to get in the middle of the country. I grew up shopping here with my mom and even after traveling the country and going to Korean markets in LA and NYC this little spot holds it's own for meeting the needs and supplying authentic Korean groceries.

King Soopers (KS) is a step up from its sister stores--Kroger, Jewel-Osco, and others across the country. If you already have a membership with one of those, you can simply enter your phone number at checkout to access the same rewards.I also recommend downloading the store app to activate digital coupons. Pro Tip: If you shop here regularly, add your favorite items to your app cart. You can then quickly check for sales by reviewing your saved cart items whenever a new ad comes out--typically every Wednesday--or whenever you need to restock.

I am always able to find an employee if I need help finding an item and the aisles are always clean. They now have a new Safeway U coupon program in which you can go online and "clip" coupons for items that you use and it will sync with your Safeway club card and give you the discount at the register. Its an awesome alternative to downloading those pesky coupon-printing programs and printing them at home- saves paper too! The only reason this store did not receive 5 stars is because they have been doing this thing in which everytime anyone donates money at the register for whatever charity of the month it is, they yell over the loudspeaker. The yell includes an especially obnoxious "WOO HOO!" -Not cool. Especially when you are in there for an hour trying to get all of your shopping done. I get the point- they want to acknowledge the donator, but really? EVERY TIME?! Another reason for the 3 star rating is that there is not always a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. We used to shop somewhere else for all of our fresh produce for this reason, but that place has since closed down. Also, the meat selection isn't always that great either. We usually end up heading to Costco for our meat and don't even bother at Safeway. Oh, the price you pay for convenience, right?!

I purchased…read morethe DaVinci peach smoothie mix that was on clearance last week for I believe 50% off after an employee verified the clearance pricing for me. This time, I even took a photo of the clearance sign beforehand to help save time and avoid confusion. When I showed the cashier, Andrew, the photo, he immediately insisted that if it were on clearance, it would automatically ring up that way and that the product should already have a sticker on it. I mentioned as he was ringing it up that it still rang up as full price and I explained that last week an employee had to manually verify and adjust the price because the bottles were not individually marked. When I asked if he was going to verify it or ask someone for help, he became even more upset and responded, "That's what I was going to do." The interaction felt unnecessarily argumentative and dismissive over a simple question and price check. I completely understand policies and verification processes, but a calmer and more helpful response would have made the experience much more positive.
