I later took it to a different mechanic, who told me that the transmission was completely shot, which differed from what D&K Auto told me (D&K said they had replaced it the year before and had a warranty on it). The mechanic also said that questionable work was done on the AC, which caused all of the freon to leak out. This caused me to look into the business, and I discovered that both their Dealer License and Tax ID were not current or valid. They sold me a broken used car illegally and pocketed almost $1,000 in taxes! They refuse to take my calls or answer my emails.

The next day, as my wife was pulling in, the truck we were looking at was being parked by another couple interested as well. There was also another interested customer earlier that day, apparently waited to hit the bank to buy the truck. Albany Quality Cars had told both parties they had to wait on my wife to make a decision. In short, this dealership has integrity and morals that I can't say I have seen in all my car buying years. It was very admirable. I did not get a chance to meet them in person, but they were the nicest people over the phone and so helpful. I had my doubts after visiting so many other car dealers and being treated so badly that we were about to give up. Finnicum Motors was almost 4 hours away but after talking with Chad (and yes it was every day and almost constant) But his relentlessness was proving to be just a great Salesman doing his best to satisfy a picky customer and was well worth his effort. Chad; I started to respond to your text with a text but I felt I needed to be more descriptive and personal in reference to our interaction with you and your organization. To have a person like yourself and your organization be so upfront and open about a vehicle is refreshing. After dealing with so many dealers that are deceptive and even flat out lie it was truly a pleasure to arrive and see exactly what was described. You went out of your way to address any issues I had to the best of your ability without the typical "it's a used car what did you expect" excuse. I may have paid a little more than I might have paid at some other locations but both my wife and myself felt it was well worth the 4 hour long trip and extra money. Thank you for the professionalism and courtesy that you provided and every business should provide. You are truly the example others should be measured by.. Yourself and your Organization should be proud of the job you do and I will gladly recommend you to anybody that is looking for a vehicle to come and see you. Thank You! James (Jim) Baker
