Peters Orchards is an institution when it comes to fresh fruit and vegetables and other goodies. We have been going here for years to get our corn which is freshly picked from the fields and it's probably some of the best corn in the area . We usually purchase many many dozens of years and we freeze it to enjoy over the winter . They also have freshly picked peaches of all different varieties, which are simply incredible. And let us talk apples, the apples are freshly picked and sold, and they have so many different varieties and honestly, this is probably the best place to purchase your fruit and vegetables because everything is grown right there on acres and acres and acres of land. The building is very well organized, and all of the fruits and vegetables are well marked for what type they are in price and it's extremely clean and welcoming inside . The staff are extremely helpful if you have any questions on what the different fruits and vegetables are and what they would recommend for canning versus eating and etc. The location is extremely easy to get two minutes off of Route 15. We highly recommend stopping here. You will love it. read more

We love going to Peter's Orchard. Such a wonderful variety of fresh produce and baked goods. Certain weekends, the Lions Club, has a food truck offering fresh fruit sundaes, hotdogs, hot sausage and French fries. I believe the next weekend is the beginning of October! Try a fruit sundae, they are so delicious! The employees are always working hard to stock the produce and are always willing to help. It's always a fun atmosphere and can get very busy!!! read more

I was on my drive from home (Alexandria VA) to my hometown (Syracuse NY) to visit family, and came across this orchard and fruit stand over Memorial Day weekend 2025. Strawberries were in perfect season and displayed outside so of course I stopped to pick up some to bring home. They were homegrown, fresh and delicious. Nothing like what you could ever buy in a grocery store. I also purchased a locally made cherry pie, and my family devoured it before I could even indulge. Wonderful place and I love that they offer locally grown (even in their own orchard) seasonal fruits and veggies. If you find yourself on 94, or if you are nearby and can make a special trip there, I highly recommend. read more

Pete is always has vegetables and fruits that are in season. It's worth the drive out of the country. Their baked goods are also recommended can't wait for the fresh squeezed apple cider to appear. read more

I stopped by Peters after some camping nearby, and even though it took 45+ min longer than it should have due to a closed road, it was well worth the long detour. Everything looks and smells so incredibly fresh. I was just in awe at how beautiful their fruits and veggies looked. They also carry lots of fun jams, honey, jerkies, and pickles! I picked up some of their baked goods including a peach bread, chocolate peanut butter whoopie pie, pumpkin whoopie pie, and apple dumplings - I can't wait to try it all. It was really hard not to walk away with more produce than I could consume but I settled on some white peaches and pears. I really would love to try their pickles and some of their veggies next time. This place is amazing. My mom and I stopped by to check it out because we seen acres upon acres of every vegetable and fruit you can name. We picked up 3 jars of different jam, some cookies, granola, tomatoes, and chips. They have a great selection. It has been 2 days since we stopped and I have got to try a sample of everything we got and everything is AWESOME. I will be going there again when we run out of our jars of jam! read more

ON Memorial Day we stopped to buy fruit. I immediately saw the sign "No Pets or Emotional Support Dogs.". We left, never to stop at your business again. Apparently you do not support mental illness because that's what an Emotional support Dog is for. I'm sorry that people have abused this. All you have to do is ask to see their ID card for the animal and require that they be CARRIED at all times while inside your facility. Selection varies on time of year, but this is always a good spot to find fresh produce. In addition to the produce, they also sell milk, honey, baked goods, and various jams and jellies produced in the local area (all using fruits from Peters). The staff are friendly and quick to help, and they have little recipe cards scattered throughout to encourage the use of the produce in your meals. The prices are very reasonable and this is always my first stop for apples (prices are WAY better than supermarkets). read more

Peters Orchards is located along Route 94 in Gardners, PA. A very nice scenic country drive, approximately 40 minutes from Harrisburg. Beautiful scenery with a lake across the road from the orchard market, perfect for family photo ops. Inside the market building, fresh local fruit and vegetables can be found for sale at reasonable prices. We love their apples, baked goods and cider and occasionally stop by whenever we take the long scenic way home from York County. Great selection of fruit and friendly employees. No staff or customers are wearing masks, even with the state wide order to wear masks in public places in effect in PA. There is only a sign saying they will put one on if you ask them too. There is no sign saying masks are required for customers. Also, they did not move produce outside - the air is close even though it is open on one side there is little air circulation. This place is great! Tons of fresh fruit, vegetables, ciders, preserves and such. This is the only place I've ever seen brussels sprouts still on the stalk! And I don't know of anywhere else that has pear cider. They also have some baked goods. They're prices are reasonable for the freshest fruits and veggies. Must stop if you're head to Mt. Holly or Micheaux State Forest! Have fond memories, from when I was little, of the hilly road it's on. Always wanted Dad to go faster for the belly flops! read more

I have been going to Peters Orchard since I was a kid. We used to take the "roller coaster" road on our way up to see family in New York. The people are friendly and the produce is fresh and "real". I literally drive 90 minutes up to get peaches multiple times every summer. Totally worth it. read more
