Throughout my appointment, Dr. Leary took the time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly explain each step of the process. His patience and understanding made all the difference, transforming what could have been a stressful experience into one of comfort and trust. I felt respected and valued, never once feeling judged for my what terrible shape my teeth are in currently The level of care and attention to detail was outstanding. Dr. Leary as well as his team ensured that I was comfortable at all times and provided reassurance. Their expertise and gentle approach made the entire appointment pleasurable. I usually feel shame and embarrassment when I've been to Dentist's in the past, however with Dr. Leary and his team, I had zero negative feelings, in the chair, or after leaving the office. What truly sets Dr. Leary and his team apart is their genuine empathy and dedication to patient well-being. They focus on positive outcomes and future improvements rather than past neglect. I cannot recommend Dr. Leary highly enough. If you're looking for a dentist who combines exceptional skill with compassion and non-judgmental care, he is the one to see. My overall outlook on going to the dentist has improved dramatically thanks to their incredible service. Stay tuned, more to come.......

Today my guy is in for dental surgery. Not only did the office work with him because his company…read morechanged insurance plans and he got totally wronged, but they really stepped in to help him with billing and financing it. I was texting a co-worker about the Therapy dogs and I was recalling all the benefits of that but it occurred to me that a HUGE deal for me is they use WARM water for rinsing your mouth. This does NOT seem like rocket science to me nor does it feel like this should be the exception. But it is. I NEVER had a dentist office do that. My former dental hygienist at the previous dental office used to spray the water on my tongue which really helped. But when I asked for that here, Danielle just said "hey I'll use warm water, let me know if the temperature is good." Wow. Life changed!! The kindness and courtesy is exceptional here. Every staff member has it. And the dogs are a BONUS. Sweet Rosie and Sasha bring so much joy. And the quality of care, I've never found better. They are out of network for me, but I won't go to a chain dentist. Thank GOODNESS I found them!!

I came into Forest Dental Park with severe tooth pain, and initially I felt like my concerns were…read moretaken seriously. Dr. Bennet said there could be an infection and recommended a series of tests. I trusted that judgment and agreed, which resulted in a thousand+ dollars in exams and X-rays--none of which showed any issues. We ultimately decided on a nightguard. Months later, I returned for a cleaning and explained that while the pain had improved, I still had flare-ups and avoided chewing on that side. I was surprised when I was given the exact same speech about needing extensive testing again for a possible infection--despite having already gone through all of that with no findings. After doing my own research, it's clear my pain is likely from clenching while I sleep. The repeated push for more testing and the implication of an infection felt like a scare tactic. On top of that, I was placed on a periodontal maintenance plan (which is more expensive) with the understanding that I could eventually return to standard cleanings. After a few visits, my hygienist--who has been great--told me I was fine to go back to regular cleanings. However, management overruled that decision. What does management know about my teeth? The experience became overwhelming. I couldn't even finish my cleaning without crying, and I ended up paying and leaving in tears. No one followed up afterward--not a call, text, or email to check in. It's disappointing because my hygienist was wonderful, and honestly the main reason I stayed as long as I did. Unfortunately, the front desk staff is unfriendly, and it's nearly impossible to get an accurate quote from them. Also consumer beware of unethical charging practices that are not disclosed. Forest Park Dental Studio seems more focused on the bottom line than the actual patient. I will not be returning.

I've been going to Dr. Pollard's office since I was in elementary school, getting close to 20 years…read morenow. The entire office has never failed to be patient, kind, and helpful at each and every appointment. I think it is thanks to Dr. Pollard's approach to dentistry that I never associated going to the dentist with fear or distress, even as a child. I came back to Portland after university with worsened dental health (thanks to neglect on my part), and both Dr. Tom and Dr. Jill (as well as the entire clinic staff) have been nothing but patient and understanding with me as we work together on getting my teeth back to a good place. I've had a needle phobia most of my life and Christine kindly held my hand while I had to get my jaw numbed for the first of many fillings. My gratitude for that gesture still overwhelms me, even though everyone has done a wonderful job at helping me not fear the dreaded needles any longer! These days, I'm almost excited to go in for a cleaning, because I know I'll be surrounded by wonderful people with great humor and attitudes. Regardless of whether it's cleanings or problem treatments, I know that I'll always be in good hands with the Pollard family. I always tell people how much I love my dental office, so I'll tell anyone reading this review too! These guys are fantastic, please give them a shot!

Our kindergartener has some sensory issues, but Dr. Pike's office was absolutely amazing. They proceeded at our kiddo's pace, and were so calm and engaging that he had a ton of fun. He loved getting to feed the resident gerbils. He also got to try out some dental tools, learning how they worked. He reports that, "I really liked going to the dentist." Since this was our first visit, I had lots of one-on-one time with Dr. Pike. I got to ask lots of questions and get to know their philosophy. The office itself is relaxing and uncrowded, and they are still taking excellent COVID precautions. Finally, I was thrilled that the office was in-network for Delta Dental. Great job, Dr. Pike and crew! We will definitely be back.

When we were, the work done was often substandard, incredibly painful, and came with a heaping dose of shame. This was what dentistry was for me all through school.
