I have trouble finding people who can give me good advice on my projects when I go to Lowes and Home Depot. When I went to Universal I spoke to a guy named George at the counter and he was very knowledgable and very helpful. The store I went to was on Doughty Road in Pleasantville. I do not know if they have other branches.

These guys do not know their materials, are very unorganized and are sure to order the wrong material at least once. Lead times are long because they fail to place orders. Sales guys are a joke to the building supply industry. I have been in the trades my entire life and still cannot believe how ignorant and arrogant these guys are. Stay far, far away from this company. You are better off buying crap from Home Depot, or dealing direct with their suppliers - which was my only remedy to their poor service. It says a lot about their reputation when their suppliers will sell to you direct.

We spent two days trying, finally altering the materials to make it work! When I called to complain to management, they told me they would get back to me, and they never did! I called a second time and was AGAIN told that they would call back... I never received a courtesy call back! I will never use this company again!
