I called at 8:10 this morning and was able to get for a 2:00 app. with Dr. Vora (he had a cancellation). Got there and they had me in the exam room within 5 mins. Saw how they worked the place and it was like a well-oiled machine. IN AND OUT. Found out I didn't have a sprain, but a torn Achilles tendon. He was was cool... didin't send me for expensive tests, knew what he was doing, gave me a boot cast and prescription for meds and told me to stay off it for a week. No frills nice guy, and to the point..........couldn't ask for anything more. GREAT bedside manner............WAY COOL GUY.

I was told that sometimes it takes longer than 6 weeks. After several months I kept getting the same reply. After my last visit with him, 6 months later, the leg discrepancy was still there. As Dr. Schwartz walked out of the room he said, "your back is a mess.". I am now being treated by a pain specialist and have to have a spinal ablation approximately every 4-5 month. It would have helped if Dr Schwartz told me that before doing the surgery because of my back problems this could happen There wasn't any warning at all. I have lost confidence in him and will never go to him again.

He only spoke to me when I waived my hands in the air and asked him to speak to me as the patient. He did not acknowledge his chauvinistic treatment of me and said he was speaking to both of us even though he was only looking at my husband. I wonder how many other women who do not have the courage to be outspoken has he also treated poorly? Dr. Tack is a rude, chauvinistic jerk.

I am writing today after what can only be described as a neglectful, unprofessional and just plain…read morerude experience at IBJI. My son & I arrived 15min before the stated 11:30 close time on a Saturday morning, but we were refused care. An elderly couple came in right behind my son & he let them ahead of us. We then signed in & sat down in the waiting area. As the elderly gentleman was being checked in by the receptionist, I heard someone from the back office say "that's the last one". I assumed of course they were referring to us as we were signed in and waiting, but that turned out not to be the case. We were refused to be seen, even though we, the patient/customer, followed IBJI's stated procedures. No where on the website does it state to arrive at least 20min before closing time in order to be seen. We were signed in & waiting, but the receptionist said, well you probably heard Dr. Savino say they (the elderly couple) were the last ones today. Excuse me?! We are here, waiting and it's not yet 11:30. The receptionist, who never directly looked at me, actually said, "yeah well, we would like to get out of here". When I pressed the issue & asked my son be seen, we were told the doctor had a prior commitment to attend so simply did not have time to see us, even though it was not yet 11:30. It seems that if patients were really the priority for IBJI, then the personal commitments of a doctor would simply take a back seat to a patient's needs, especially when that patient acted in complete accordance with the Institution's own rules. But apparently, patients are NOT always top priority. This entire experience is particularly upsetting as my family has been w/IBJI for years. Dr. Chams has performed shoulder reconstruction on my husband & knee surgery on my son. However, it seems not all of his colleagues have the same commitment to patient care. So, think twice before you submit yourself to IBJI's care - you may be very inconvenient to them! My son received professional, friendly, timely care down the road at NW Medicine (corner of Milwaukee & 60). We will be going directly to them should there be a future need.
