He and his nurse (Gayle), are both efficient, thorough, honest, straightforward, professional, knowledgeable, and empathetic. From the first meeting with him regarding the severity of the injury and what needs to be done in order to "fix" the damage...I felt comfortable and knew that my son is going to be in good hands. Dr. Levitz performed a 3-hour surgical procedure on my son at the Ravine Way Surgery Center in August 2018. This is an outpatient surgical center for orthopedic surgeons seeing patients from NorthShore University Health System and Illinois Bone & Joint Institute. My son still goes to Physical and Occupational Therapy sessions, and he is healing slowly but surely. He also meets with Dr. Levitz every couple of weeks to make sure that his healing is right on track. He has been consistent with communicating with me and my son on his progress and continuous care plan. Dr. Levitz, you are awesome. My son and I are thankful for you.

Dr. Goldstein was patient and very thorough. There were many complications due to my fiancé illness. But I can tell you today that he's walking without assistance of a cane, and without a limp, and he's able to return to work without any restrictions! Dr. Goldstein's assistant (Jessica) is the best. I couldn't be more grateful for everyone that nurtured and cared for my son over the past several months. We made the best choice choosing this top notch doctor. From the first day's treatment to the last (today), the bedside manner of every single person we worked with was gentle and caring, and we went through some pretty painful visits. From a fractured knee cap to a full leg cast, to different leg braces, to physical therapy (not through Dr. Roberts), we survived all of it! My son is very sensitive to pain, and I never thought he could handle it...but he did...like a champ! And, I have Dr. Roberts to thank. I pride this office on not making us wait longer than 20 minutes in the waiting area...ever. Some visits we only waited for 5 minutes! Once we made it into the exam room, we were always tended to right away by the care team. The wait for Dr. Roberts was never very long, and when he did come in to treat my son, he was gentle and kind...but direct. Exactly the right approach. Easy peasy parking at the Skokie location. The only downside is scheduling. There are no after-school or weekend appointments, so we did have to pull our son out of school a couple of times. Side note: It was always so cool to see the world's largest cast in the lobby each time...fun times :-)

I have been seeing Dr. G for a few years for reoccurring knee issues. I was sad in 2012 when I had to switch him out because I had to be seen quickly and I didn't want to fit him in. His back up doc was a great replacement but Dr. G has the best bedside manner and has been painfully truthfully with my diagnosis and how I can get better. Now I insist to only see him. He'll fit me in therefore I should be able to fit him into my schedule as well. I've seen him a few times already in 2013 and honestly feel so much better knowing that I'm getting the best possible care. He's honest and kind and speaks to me as if we're on the same level, as if! He's the best. If you need anyone to care for your ortho needs, Dr. G is the way to go.

This other ortho-surgeon gave me the options of another antibiotic spacer hip, a pic line antibiotics, and drip antibiotics, and no walking on that leg for another 6 weeks; being on antibiotics for the rest of my life, or amputation of that leg. Dr Finn found no infection at all in that hip and was able to successfully replace the spacer with a good titanium hip that I've had for 2.5 years now. I would have taken the other surgeons to court but I was too busy trying to get a healthy hip in. Dr. Finn is amazing!!

My doctor , Dr Thomas Shoenhofen sent me to Dr. McCall due to the severeness of the injuries caused by the falls. I made an appointment for the first available time nevertheless, the pain, swelling, numbness , tingling and color changes prompted me to ask to be seen by Dr. McCall as a "Walk-In", which is offered to patients unable to wait for an appointment. I was shocked, when the receptionist demanded I pay $350 in order to be put on Dr. McCall's waiting list, because she claimed my Medicare was suspended. I was not only humiliated and embarrassed by the receptionists ( there were 2 of them)., but also spoken to rudely and with no empathy whatsoever in front of a room full of waiting patients. When we left the massage parlor we had to get to the other side of a busy highway by going up the stairs, crossing an overhead walkway & down the stairs on the other side of the road. When I took the first step down my left knee popped & pain shot through my leg (so much for an awesome massage). Anyway my knee has been in an up and down cycle. Lately it has been bothering me & creating enough pain to want to go see an orthopedic doctor. I called up Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI) After talking to my nephew (who use to work for IBJI in Gurnee I called IBJI @ 9am. Amazing I had an appointment @ 10am. This IBJI is located @ 9000 Waukegan Road where ABT use to be located. I scheduled an appointment w/Dr Raab an orthopedic surgeon. Kelly his Nurse Practitioner came in and assessed the situation. They took me in to get an X-ray of my knee & brought me back to the exam room. After waiting for a while Dr Rabb came in examined my leg. After examining my leg he noticed swelling on the knee but and told me there was liquid on my knee joint. He then proceeded to extract the liquid & give me a shot of cortisone which greatly reduced the swelling & pain. I was told to get a knee compression sock which really helps to further stabilize my knee. Both Dr Raab & Kelly were very friendly & personable making the visit more enjoyable. The best part is Dr Raab didn't feel that I needed to have knee surgery yet.
