I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ashjian. I met him after receiving a recommendation from my breast surgeon, after my breast cancer diagnosis. Not only was he the most knowledgeable doctor I met, his reconstruction photos (both implants and DIEP flap) were unparalleled. I ultimately chose him for both reasons and was not disappointed. He did my reconstruction during both mastectomies, as well as my exchange surgery from expanders to implants. Dr. Ashjian did a replacement of my implants and breast revision. Did an amazing job , so excited with the way they look. The healing time on them is a little bit longer than my original breast implants but they look so much better. The internal stitches from the breast revision totally changed the look of my chest. He also did liposuction of my thighs and was completely honest and upfront with what we could achieve. Other doctors were going to sell me on everything even though I didn't need it. read more

Unfortunately I am not happy with my breast augmentation that I received here. The staff is lovely and the Dr. Is very capable. I hope my case is a fluke, lucky for others unlucky for me. I had a child and had issues with stretch marks/uneven breasts. My breasts are still uneven, completely different shapes actually and I cannot wear anything striped as it is very noticeable. My mother couldnt believe how uneven my results are and a few "friends" call my surgery "botched" Needless to say I always have to wear a bra, no stripes, and had to explain to my current boyfriend why they are different sizes and why he can feel the implants/rippling that has occured. I believe this is due to not overfilling but perhaps it is the fact that I chose saline over silicone. The Dr. Did note that i had more tissue in 1 breast and that I needed that anchor like incision, which I dismissed. I have had my new breasts for 9 months and cannot wait until the 1 year mark so that I can get them re-done, I have no idea how I will pay for it as I was lucky enough to get them done at all. When the implants settled I would wake up trying not to cry about my breasts for a good 3 months. I feel self conscious about them everyday & have to just try to not think about them. This is my body I have to live with everyday and I do not feel that the Dr took enough time to really assess my needs. On the operating table he told me he was doing a nipple incision when I had clearly stated I wanted through the armpit, he tried to pressure me into the nipple incision and I threatend to walk out, we decided on the crease underneath. The Dr. Has said he will not work on me again when I mentioned I want them bigger due to the rippling I feel as they were not overfilled as I specifically asked. I also have lost feeling to my breats and any sensations feel painful. The Dr. Seemed surprised when I told him I burnt my chest on a curling iron and didnt feel it, no sort of follow up and I felt no genuine concern. If you have totally normal, flat, even breasts im sure the Dr will do it amazingly, one of mine is BEAUTIFUL..one..., however if you have any issues or concerns with your breasts I suggest you make sure to communicate more effectively than I did, or see another Dr. I currently feel the same towards plastic surgeons as I do towards car salesman, they just want the sale. So today is exactly one week from surgery and I feel GREAT my surgery was not an easy one (because of my situation of a horrible doctor that messed me up tremendously) but Dr Ashjian took his time and did an amazing job!!!!!! I am so extremely happy!!! It was a huge transformation the doctor is a complete GENIUS! My experience with the staff and Dr. Ashjian was wonderful. I needed breast reduction surgery because I was suffering from back pain. Went in to get Botox and lip injections and had a great experience. Dr.Ashjian was extremely busy but still sat with me for a quick consultation beforehand and explained everything. Nothing hurt very badly, he was very gentle. He also understood exactly what I wanted for my lips, nothing exaggerated or "done up". He kept the amount injected in my lips very conservative and I couldn't be happier with my results so far. It has only been 4 days but they look amazing already. Dr. Peter Ashjian did my reconstruction surgery after a unilateral mastectomy. He did the flap reconstruction where a section of my tummy was transplanted and formed into a breast. I saw Dr. Ashjian almost 7 months ago, for a breast reduction. I was very impressed wiht the office and my consultation went well. I was told that the pictures and notes would be sent to my insurance and they would let me know, and that this process would take about 6 weeks. That is where my being impressed ended. THEY STILL HAVE NOT TURNED IN MY CLAIM TO MY INSURANCE. I honestly did not get the impression that my insurance would approve this procedure but still wanted the procedure and would have paid out of pocket. I have called and called and called. One day the one pereson I need to talk to is in clinic, the next time she is on vacation, the next time she is in clinic again. I left messages everytime I called. The ONE time I did get a call back i explained my frustration and was told they were still waiting on the Dr. notes - REALLY at this point it had been 4 months since I was seen! She assured me she would put it in with a "stat" request. 3 months later, my insurance still has not received it. My referal is not void and I have to start over. I would not use this clinic even it was now approved. I would be to afraid that if there was a problem after surgery I would not be able to get a hold of anyone. read more

I only had a chance to meet Dr Ashjian once during a consultation in the Glendale office. After that it went all downhill because of their lazy and incompetent front desk workers. One of the girls that "helped" me was Annette. She did not bother calling me back once and accommodating my needs. After an ongoing issue with her about a CT scan that they were not able to receive from my previous doctor, she had the audacity to give me attitude and cut me off during a phone conversation about why the issue was being prolonged. I left many voicemails for the doctor to call me back but he never did either. The level of organization at this office is unbelievable. They do not bother treating their clients with the proper respect and courteousness one should show at a doctors office, or any other business for that matter. On top of all this I decided to give them another chance and call the Valencia office.. guess what happens? They schedule me a time to see the doctor at 6:30pm WHEN THEY'RE CLOSED. I showed up there with the office lights turned off and no one inside. I'm sure Annette or the other front desk employee I talked to scheduled me during the time they're closed on purpose out of spite, because I was frustrated with them. I have never written a Yelp review over a sentence long. This goes to show my extreme frustration with this office. How can I trust a doctor with my nose when I can't even trust his unethical workers to simply give me a call back or set up an appointment for me? Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This is a long over due review for Dr. Asjian. Let me just start with what an amazing surgeon he is. My mom had breast cancer and had to have both breasts removed. He has been my moms reconstructive surgeon for almost a year now and is truly a gift from God. Not only has the work he has done on my mom been amazing, but he is also a very caring doctor who truly cares about his patients. He stayed down the street from the hospital after the first surgery because he was very concerned about her well being. He has been very helpful with questions and concerns. He always tells me to call him if I have any questions at all. He also has a nice sense of humor, which comes in handy with us since we like to give him a hard time and he does the same with us. I love Dr Ashjian & his nurse Erica already, my first time here to get juvederm on my lips & I couldn't been happier, since the moment I walked in the receptionist welcomed me with a great attitude & smile. Is there a way for me to give 100 stars to Dr Ashjian and his magnificent team!?!? I am absolutely blown away by the meticulous and marvelous job Dr. A did for me! I had a breast augmentation and a little liposuction. I was considering a lift instead of BA, but the Dr advised me that according to his measurements, it wasn't completely necessary to do for the results I was looking for. I was hoping for more fullness after being a C my whole life, then D in the last few years (even though I was thinner than my teens/20s) and now in my early 30s was an empty C. I'm happy the Dr did not try to pressure me to sign up for the costlier procedure-shows major integrity on his part. I wasn't completely sold on lipo, I was just inquiring. But for an extra $1500, I was completely sold. Dr A is truly a artist. Me being an artist myself, I absolutely saw that in him, and in the results of my surgery! He used the perfect sizes (different sizes) on each of my breasts and they are absolute perfection! Although lipo was minimal, I see a huge difference and it looks beautiful! I have already referred dozens of my clients and family members here and some have already gone for a consultation without any hesitation! Dr A is fantastic in every way! Took me about a year or so to finally decide 100% if I wanted implants. I was recommended to Dr.Ashjian, so I went ahead & did my research. Making my consultation appt was a breeze, Annette was so kind and easy going. The day came for my consultation & I fell in love. Where do I start? about 10 months ago I started my journey to find a qualified plastic surgeon for a Tummy Tuck, Breast Lift and Augmentation and Lipo. I was referred to a Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon by one of my closest friends. I met with him and though he seemed highly qualified for what I needed, his pricing was way out of my means and I simply could not afford both procedures by him. Another friend told me about a Dr. In Huntington Beach. Biggest mistake of my life. After spending 1 1/2 hours driving to his office, 2 hours in a waiting room, the Dr. Met with me for literally 7 mins, examined me and said, yup, this is what you need, and sent me off on my way. Again I sat in the waiting room for another 45 mins for a non-helpful receptionist to tell me they would call me for the pricing. -My Thought was: "Save yourself the time and do yourself a favor and don't bother calling me with the pricing" I won't be trusting my body to a person who has no consideration for my time and who only gave me 7 minutes of his time (not to mention his portfolio book of past clients was from the 1970's-80's No Joke).-No Thank you!!! I decided it was time to do some research on my own. It all started with a yelp search for plastic surgeons in Glendale. Dr. Ashjian had one 5 star review, but it was very positive and informative. After reviewing his website (which was full of information, current photos and videos) I decided to give him a call. I met with Dr. Ashjian about 4 months ago. His staff was friendly and his office was very clean. I sat with Dr. Ashjian for about 45 mins, discussing my procedure. I was so impressed with his level of knowledge, his patience in explaining everything so detailed and his courteous attitude. 5 minutes into my consultation I already knew I was going to book with him regardless of his pricing. He was that good! shortly after, we went into the examination room with him and his nurse and took measurements, discussed many different implant options and asked more questions. His assistant was so kind and had me try on different kinds of bras with different size implants. It was then I knew this was going to be the best decision I made. I booked my surgery the next day!!!. Mid November 2013 I had my procedure done and came home the same day. I expected the worst for the recovery, but it was nothing close to what I expected. Yes it hurt and I was uncomfortable, but the pain meds worked just fine. By the 6th day I was completely off my pain meds and muscle relaxers. By the 13th day I was already back to work (lucky for me my job is mostly sitting in front of a computer). This procedure has changed my life!! He took of 4 lbs of skin from my lower stomach, gave me a stomach I never imagined I could have again and my breasts are so beautiful. I walk around with so much pride and self confidence and I can wear anything without worrying about my saggy breasts or bulging lower muffin top stomach.
