She was using them to finish my hair and I loved how it looked, so I asked her for the rec (there's zero pushing of products from the salon or anything, something I always worry about). She's also given me really helpful home styling tips when I asked. When I first started going to Crystal, I was hyper price conscious of going to the salon for color, and had done some home dye. Crystal wasn't judgemental or offended, and in fact gave me GREAT tips for doing color at home! Her cut prices are super reasonable for LA, especially relative to how good the cut is (it's GREAT). I'm going gray, and strategized a blending plan with Crystal and she's been moving me from dye red to natural dark blonde w/ highlights to blend the gray. She alleviated my worries in making the transition, and hasn't been overly pushy on pricey highlights. She did them in a way that I wouldn't need touch-ups/to get them done regularly, in fact. She also told me what toner/developer to buy from Sally's to tone my hair between appointments, which I really appreciate. I can't believe how much I love my (mostly natural) hair now!
