An insurance agency that cannot keep a commercial policy active has no business handling insurance…read more I would give Insurance Professionals of Arizona zero stars if that were an option. I used this agency through one of its agents, and the level of negligence and lack of follow through was absolutely unacceptable. My commercial truck insurance policy was allowed to lapse because the agent failed to properly handle the policy and follow through on what needed to be done. Once the policy lapsed, it was canceled. That single failure created a nightmare that took me approximately six months to resolve because finding another company willing to insure a commercial truck after a lapse was extremely difficult. I was the one who suffered the consequences, lost time, and dealt with the added expense and frustration, even though the lapse was not caused by anything I failed to do. This was not a harmless clerical mistake. Commercial truck insurance is critical to operating a business, and allowing a customer's policy to lapse can shut down that customer's ability to work. An insurance professional should understand that better than anyone. I also later discovered that I had apparently been given misleading information about another insurance policy. I was led to believe the policy and its payment arrangements had to be handled through this particular broker. I later learned that payments could have been made directly through the insurance company. That left me feeling as though the arrangement benefited the agency far more than it benefited me. After reading other Yelp reviews, including one describing remarkably similar issues with poor communication, missing follow up, and questionable explanations, it became clear that my experience was not necessarily an isolated incident. Insurance is built entirely on trust, accuracy, and follow through. In my experience, this agency failed at all three. Allowing a commercial policy to lapse and then leaving the customer to deal with six months of consequences is inexcusable. I would never trust this company with another policy, and I strongly recommend that anyone considering them carefully review every document, verify everything directly with the actual insurance carrier, and never assume this agency is properly managing your coverage.

My husband and I own several businesses. We trusted Insurance Professionals of Arizona with both…read moreour commercial and personal insurance for years. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. One of the most costly mistakes involved our workers' compensation policy. In 2025 my husband specifically instructed Jacob to remove himself as a covered officer, but that was never done. As a result, our workers' compensation audit resulted in over $6,000 in unnecessary charges that we had to pay just to keep our coverage active. We were assured the mistake would be corrected. It wasn't. The following policy year, Jacob made the exact same mistake again by leaving my husband listed as a covered officer despite being instructed to remove him. This time, it resulted in nearly $11,000 in additional audit charges, jeopardized our workers' compensation coverage, and caused our business significant financial harm. We have emails and text messages acknowledging that this error occurred. We also discovered that Jacob routinely financed our insurance policies through First Insurance Funding, telling us the financing only cost about 1-2%. After reviewing the financing agreements ourselves, we found the actual financing charges were approximately 15%. Had we been given accurate information, we would have made different financial decisions. As business owners, we expect our insurance agent to accurately manage our policies, provide honest information, and take responsibility when mistakes are made. Instead, we experienced repeated errors, substantial unnecessary costs, and a complete lack of accountability. If you are considering using Insurance Professionals of Arizona, carefully review every policy, audit, and financing agreement yourself. Our experience was extremely costly, and we would not recommend them based on what our business has gone through.
