My babygirl Peanut has been going to Pete and Mac's 3 days a week for big dog daycare for three years. She loves it very much and she comes home safe and tired. All of the employees are great but if you need someone to talk to ask for Cody or Lori. I completely trust my girl who can be a handful with this daycare. They make me comfortable knowing she is occupied and having fun while I'm at work. I've been going there for years and personally believe everyone from Cody on down all deserves a raise. I dropped my dog off for daycare and they looked confused as to why I was there. When I picked him up that day, his toenail was completely broken in half and bleeding. I called to get a refund and they told me they had no idea what happened to him. To make matters worse, my dog has been sick with Giardia ever since. Definitely would not recommend. read more

I have been using Pete and Mac's for a couple years now for boarding. I recently boarded my elderly dog 14+ years for about 11 days because of a family trip. I never had issues prior to this and although I was nervous I trusted that he would be in good hands. When I picked him up his nose was bleeding on top which has happened before when he was crated. I noticed he was also not able to open his right eye. I waited a few days and the eye became much much worse, cloudy and pussing. I took him to the vet and it has now been over $350 and counting for his eye due to a laceration. When I called Pete and Mac's they explained he was as trying to get out of his crate and needs a noodle. They did not offer to pay for my vet bills and I feel like this is negligence and that they should have done a better job watching my dog. I still have another follow up visit and I am guessing that this will be close to $500+ for me!!! I already spend my vet $550 to board him! I usually never complain but this is something I feel should have been compensated. Needless to say I will not be using Pete and Mac's again. read more

I needed last minute boarding for my 5 month old husky puppy. Pete and Mac's got me in and my pup had a great time. She was exhausted coming home but smelling great from her going home bath. Since she loved it so much she's now starting daycare a few days a week. Update at the Bottom: Ok there's a new boarding facility in town... So Let's get to it Staff: Very friendly, when I went for a tour I was pleasantly greeted and showed around the facility. They explained their program and the additions that were coming (This is their First week open). The offer a free first day trial. When we took them up on the offer today, they remember my name, had already confirmed our Vet info, and were very accommodating to my pup. Facility: Very clean, smelled good (But they have only been open a week... so I'll update at another time) The main dog room is large and has water and 1 play toy. The room seems pretty empty, and could probably use more stimulation. Also I did not see any designated "grass" area for the dogs to eliminate on. So, concrete floor and constant cleaning are the way to go. But the staff seemed attentive to the canine compadres. That and I'm not a dog so I don't know what is stimulating to them. The suites (kennels) are spacious, airy, and bright. Check in: This was very easy, in and out at 7:25am Check out: 4:45pm This is an area they can improve on. Apparently they do doggy report cards. ( we didn't get our because of a hiccup in the process) There was an issue when my better half went to pick up our Fur Kid and... well... it was described as less than organized. Items were forgotten/missing, took ~10- (We chalked it up to learning the job) Long and short, my dog saw Mom said a quick "hi" (I'm paraphrasing) and went back to playing with her new friends. Price: BEST IN THE AREA Daily drop in is $22 full day 10 days = $180 or $18 30 days = $325 or ~$11 TL:DR - Good staff, clean facility, fair price. My dog is so tired from all day playing and was happy being there. Update: we have been monthly members for well over 6 months now. The check out process is now flawless. The staff are still amazing. We've been taking our Corgi here for over a year. He is in love with this place!! Literally will drag me to the door, when he is otherwise really calm. Also, "Daycare" has now become a word we need to spell since he immediately recognizes what it means. So if you're looking for a dog recommendation, I think we can give you one. As for us, we won't even let our family & friends dogsit without stressing. However, we board once a month for weekend trips and we could not feel any better about leaving him here. He gets a weekend vacation and so do we! The best part is that boarding includes a free bath! That is worth the price alone which is already very competitive. We have 3 dogs, needless to say, we have visited every game in town and within a few miles. Pros: This facility is financially the best deal in town, especially when you are talking multiples. They have adequate staff and they really take the time to get to know your dogs. As an owner, you will get to know the other dogs around as well. They offer 2 play areas for sizes and personality of the dogs. Cons: And they are not really cons. The company is based out of Arizona which doesn't have weather like us. One of the outdoor areas is only used part time in the winter because it's cold. Not the owners fault, they didn't realize but they are working on heat lamps. The only other thing I wish they would have is a professional groomer onsite. They do their best to accommodate but they don't always have time for a quick nail trim. Not everyone is perfect, dogs are dogs and things happen. One of my dogs ran into a wall at full speed, one of them caused trouble. They are animals but if something happens they acknowledge it and shocker, sometimes owners are not truthful about their pets and that impacts the dynamic of the place as well. read more

At first, I fell in love with the staff and the facility, so my dog became a regular. That was until I picked him up today after a 3-night stay and found him full of scabs, blood on his face, paws red and hurting and horrible bumps under his neck. I am beyond sad and upset. Now I'll have an additional expense (vet bill) all because I thought my dog was in a safe environment. read more

I really wish everything stayed the way it was the first few times we brought our dog here. It seemed like he had a great time and we didnt have any reason to complain. About 4 weeks ago, when we picked him up, he smelled really, really bad. We know that its normal for a dog to smell a bit after a whole day with other dogs, but this was pretty bad, out of the norm. The next day he got very sick. It seemed like he had a very heavy gastro-intestinal infection. Luckily after couple days he recovered. 2 weeks later we brought him to Pete & Macs again and the exact same thing happened. He was stinking like crazy and got sick. This time it took him almost a week to recover. We were very upset because there was no doubt that it had to do with this facility. We contacted them twice and finally got a respond from the manager, which was very apologetic, but also admitted that they had some issues, which according to her are resolved, but we are not taking that risk again. After our pup got sick i looked at there recent reviews on this site and had to see that we were not the only once with those issues. If our dog would be older or a puppy, those infections could have killed him. We are beyond being disappointed and mad. This place is endangering our dogs with heavy hygienic problems and lack of responsibility. We definitely wont be back! read more

We recently had our 2 dogs here for 4 days of boarding. One of our dogs got very ill when he came home. After several visits to an emergency vet clinic he succumb to this illness. He was very healthy and lively when he went there. All his vaccinations were up to date including kennel cough. read more

We adopted our older girl Jazzy in April of 2019. We decided to try taking her to Pete and Mac's for daycare to adjust her to playing with dogs and give her something to do while we were at work. We weren't sure how things would work out because Jazzy seemed very scared and skiddish. We went in on a Saturday for a tour, thought the place looked great! We told them our situation and explained we didn't know much about Jazzy yet but wanted to see if she'd play. They were great about the whole situation. They explained they would put her in a lead and let a friendly dog out on a lead and allow them to get closer and closer and eventually add in dogs to see how she'd handle it. She did great! However, she was still scared of the workers but they were great with her. They were very patient and learned her boundaries. When trying to put on her harness if she hunkered down they wouldn't push her but instead bring her out to us for us to put it on instead. Now, 8 months later, she LOVES going to Pete and Mac's. We just say daycare and she starting jumping and getting excited. She has warmed up to most of the workers and even cuddles and kisses them now. We love Pete and Macs! read more

I love this place... I have been to many doggie daycares and by far this place is my favorite. They do so many fun activities with the dogs and are so well organized. Everyday that I pick up my dog I get a report card of his time and what he did..SO CUTE! Also, for every holiday they do really fun things and my dog got to take pictures with the Easter Bunny and had a little easter egg hunt in the lobby with treats in eggs. I highly recommend this place. The outdoor area is covered from the sun and has fans, misters, fake grass, etc. The little room cubicles are super cozy too and have tv's if your dog likes that! Overall- affordable, fun, loving, welcoming, etc. Great place for you to take your dog for daycare, grooming, and boarding. read more

I have stopped going here for several reasons. 1st reason is my dog would smell horrible when I picked her up. One time I had to drive with the windows rolled down it was so bad. she always had energy when I picked her up (This is not what I wanted to see). There was a rude staff member that acted like it was a pain when you gave your dog to her at drop off. Most of all My dog was seriously ill about 24 hours after she went to daycare. I had to take her to the ER. I can't pin it on them but not sure why else she would be this sick. It would only make sense when you pick up a very smelly dog it was something from their place. read more

We've brought our dogs here for boarding and daycare and they always come home exhausted! The staff is very friendly and helpful and they have a lot of options for boarding which is nice as that can be an expensive service. The facility is clean. My only hope wish is that they could provide more updates for boarding whether it's photos or an email. read more

I first came to Pete and Macs shortly after they opened....I was very pleased with the facility and the workers. After bringing my dog here three times a week for months she started being scared of going. The last time she pulled so hard when they tried taking her back I ended up taking her home. I think the staff is well intentioned but the business model of unlimited dogs (ratio is 1 worker to 50 dogs) is just not sustainable nor is it safe for the workers or dogs. The managers have always addressed my concerns but I think they are overworked and doing the best they can in a no-win situation. This truly is a case of "you get what you pay for". There is a reason they are so much cheaper than everyone else....they don't have near enough staff for the amount of dogs they are watching. read more

Don't let fresh paint and smiles fool you. We were happy to try another daycare in town but when our dog would come back smelling atrocious...and this time whimpering in pain...enough is enough. I tried to speak with a supervisor about what happened with our dog but they claim that he plays hard and left fine so he couldn't have been hurt there. And don't bother getting a bath here - last time he was "bathed," I had to redo it at home because he smelled so foul. You can keep your sugary sweet report cards - we prefer people who are actually paying attention to what's happening with our dogs. read more

We brought our 1.5 year old lab here to try out the daycare facility. Prior to bringing him in, I visited the facility and filled out all the necessary paperwork. At this location, they have two separate play areas. One is for big breeds and the other is for small/medium breeds. The only thing that struck me as a bit odd was that the big breeds are kept outside all day, while the smaller breeds are kept inside. The dogs play all day, with a 1 hour break in kennels midday. When I asked to see the big breed play area, I was told it cause too much chaos among the dogs to have visitors out there, so they showed me the play area in the back office on their security camera monitor. It does have an overhang that shelters the dogs from the sun and weather. It was covered in a turf looking material and had some climbing structures (kid play structures) and a pool. It looked nice and the dogs and staff seemed to be having a good time. We signed up to have him come in for his free trial day the next day. Upon picking him up, he was visibly tired, but seemed okay. The staff commented that he loved being in the water all day. The next few days he was extremely lethargic, appeared to have sore limbs (limping a bit), and the pads on his feet were red and irritated. He was licking at them a lot. We guessed maybe he was just recovering from a level of play and activity he wasn't used to, but being that he is so young and energetic, it was a bit peculiar nonetheless. We also figured maybe his feet were raw from running on the turf they have in the big dog outdoor play area. A couple days later, our dog stopped eating and he began having some gastrointestinal issues. He just wasn't himself for almost a whole week after his visit. It gets worse. Exactly one week after his visit, he started having some coughing fits. After taking him to the vet, he was diagnosed with "kennel cough." Now mind you, he is vaccinated for this, as dogs are required to have that vaccination to be boarded or use a daycare facility. The vet however said that the vaccination only covers 3 out of the 5 strains of kennel cough. The incubation period is 5-7 days after transmission. And now, we are also dealing with an ear infection on top of all that. Long story short, we ended up with a few health issues for our dog immediately after our visit to this facility. He was not recently boarded or having social time at any other facilities prior to this. We do not plan to bring him back here, but I would caution anyone to read the other reviews here too and make an informed decision for your dog. I unfortunately did not read them before trying this place out. Not sure what may be causing these issues at this facility, but we aren't going to chance it again. read more

My puppy loved this place! She came home from daycare super exhausted and ready for bed which I loved. It was great knowing she got lots of exercise and playtime. I also loved the fact that the staff gave me a "report card" to take home with me that told me all about my doggy's day, what she did, how her behavior was, even the doggy friends she met. It was super nice to be informed about her day and to know she had a good time. Also, the first day of day care was free! Which was super amazing and nice of the staff there. They also have super cute treats and even ones for special occasions like birthdays. I like knowing they separate the small dogs from the big dogs so they have adequate playmates. Overall really great experience with a nice and helpful staff. Will definitely be bringing my dog back again! read more
