This store is by far the worst when it comes to ordering product and keeping the shelves stocked. My dog has past pancreatitis history, and she also has no gallbladder , so she cannot digest fats and has to eat the royal canin gastrointestinal low fat canned food only. This store NEVER has it in stock. I've gone three weeks in a row , on a Friday or a Saturday right after they so called get their delivery and it's still never in stock. I ask one of the customer service representatives to order it , and she can't do it. I work at a grocery store , when something is out of stock we order it . Basically was told I should stop online or go to petco in Plymouth. Drove to Plymouth, they had TONS of the food available. Wareham petco you've lost so many potential sales simply because you don't know how to keep your shelves stocked. I live two minutes from this store and would buy food all the time, I didn't want to drive to Plymouth but I had no choice because my dog can only eat this brand. Do better. read more

Brought my dog here to be groomed. Some back story on her: -golden retriever age 10, with plenty of training under her belt and years of grooming with high school students at BCAHS We dropped her off for grooming and not only did they not finish her grooming but they had the nerve to say it was because she had diarrhea and was difficult to work with! I'm sorry but if 14-18yr olds learning to groom in high school can handle grooming my well trained dog in a 2hr time period a certified groomer should be able to just fine. This groomer clearly just didn't not want to take on the load of a fully furnished golden as she was not brushed, fully dried, or shaped up what so ever. The groomer claimed she was not fully dried due to diarrhea but as a golden she has feather on her hind end and it would be extremely apparent if she had diarrhea unless her hind end was re-washed, not to mention she had totally normal stool upon arriving home. If you can't handle something don't lie to a client or be lazy and lie after the fact to make up for what you lack as a professional! The only reason they are getting 2 stars is for not charging me which would have been outrageous considering they basically hosed her off, half dried her and shoved her back into a cage because they didn't want to deal with her which I can do at home. read more

I took our 7 month old rescue for his first shampoo and bath. He is a sweet 60 pound rescued puppy who loves people and other dogs so I was worried he would be too much to handle. The groomers were amazing. They took to him right away and I could tell he was so happy to have a new experience. He looked happy and relaxed when I picked him up and the groomers even shared a sweet photo of him leaning his head on the groomer while getting his nails clipped. I am thrilled to have found a safe and secure place for his grooming needs. I also want to add that I go here for Supplies often and the entire staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We are lucky to have this Petco in our area! read more

Vetco Clinic is a scam. You may think you are dealing with a caring Vet tech as they sell you a "package" they claim is meant to save you money but they will scam you the next time you visit claiming it expired, although they never mention an expiration date for purchased "package" and can not produce a signed contract of said policy. Customer service explained the policy is on their website, which is useless information when you are being sold this package in person. Customer service was one of the worst I ever dealt with. Connection was poor, lots of background noise and very difficult to understand accent. supervisor was able to respond to customer service rep but unable to get on the line. read more

I haven't had a bad experience shopping there (which is the only reason this isn't one star), but my review is primarily regarding their grooming services. Full disclosure: I haven't actually had my pet groomed there yet, but hear me out. I need to get a nail trim done for my newly-adopted rescue, and saw on the website that you can't book those services online, they are walk-in only. So I went with my dog to get her nails trimmed and was told that I needed to make an appointment. When I asked why it says on the website that nail trims are walk-in only, they just said I couldn't book it online, but that I needed to call. Not exactly "walk-in only" but whatever. So I called the next day to make an appointment and that part seemed to go smoothly enough. We arrived at our appointment time, they checked her rabies vaccination certificate, and just before taking her in (almost like an afterthought), the woman asked if my dog was on any medications. She is currently on prednisone and trazadone for heartworm treatment. I was informed then that they couldn't take her while she's on trazadone, so once again I had to leave without the nail trim. Something like this could very easily be verified at the time of booking the appointment (which I supposedly shouldn't even need to do in the first place), before making me drive there for no reason. why are there no stars.... Typical woke shit customer service from a pissed off uneducated and rude staff. I was told that the rabies tag if in date was fine. Then when we brought the dog, the rabies tag was not expectable.... CA home office policy.... The tag was a date on it and is good for at least a year the young 'lady' tried to explain to me it could be expired....... Her manager "KIT' staid it was 'PETCO LAW', No one at Petco would have told me the tag was acceptable When I gave her the gentleman's name she told me he didn't work for PETCO... So rude staff, misinformation, and claiming PETCO has the power of congress... Really wish I could give negative stars.... read more

Not impressed with the staff at this location. There's a bunch of privately owned pet shops in and around the area. I'd suggest those as they have way more inventory, products and some event self serve wash stations (plus everything to use). We had a few questions and the staff member we kindly asked for assistance was not interested with helping. If you need basics, sure go there. But if you are looking for anything more, I'd go elsewhere. Also a lot more leash options, harnesses and more elsewhere. (Only giving advice from Dog perspective.) read more

Nancy is great!!! She always helps us in aquatics. She is friendly and knowledgeable. Great improvements have been made in aquatics section. Friendly staff. Great sales and healthy looking fish in Mansfield store. Plymouth has a wonderful person in aquatics named frank. He has been a great source of information. Wareham has Patty, Glen and Casey who are all wonderful. They are great will all animals. I like that they always let you know before you buy about adoption animals. I adopted the best hamster and tinfoil barb. read more

I brought my dog to have nails ground they did a good job. Had a good experience there.The people there treated my dog well even though he can be difficult.he does not like having nails clipped at all, but tolerates the grinding better.The way the checkouts are arranged is a little odd hard to know where to get in line. read more

I went in this petco looking for Cat supplies because my wife and I were getting a new cat. The lady that assisted us was very pleasant and walked with us through the store helping us pick the right supplies out. On top of that she gave us a bunch of different coupons to save money. Ashley provided exceptional grooming results and the cost was reasonable. I would have given 5 stars except for the grooming staff's inability to forecast work time. I made an appt for 3pm, was asked to change to 2pm and my dog would be ready in 3 hours. It actually took 4 hours to complete 1,5 hours of work. I really like the quality of Petco grooming services and hesitate to go elsewhere, but you need to improve scheduling and forecasting. read more

As someone relatively new to the fishkeeping world, I ventured to Petco to begin my aquatic journey. I was met by passionate staff and kind service. Staff member Dillon (Dylan?) offered great advice and guided me in the right direction. Similarly, staff member Joe was exceptionally polite and were both very focused on getting the job done. I have never been to such a dedicated Petco before and will definitely be returning soon. (Also, I saw a pile of ferrets snuggling, and that alone is worth the trip.) read more

The attitude in this store leaves something to be desired... It seems that the staff is not knowledgeable, and has a chip on their shoulder.. Asking them a question whether it is where to find something or about a product is not a good experience... they either act like they are doing you a favor or put a blank look on their faces. Try another PETCO or pet supply store if you really need help with anything. read more

OK, to update. I called Corporate again and refused to be connected to anyone in customer service. I instead asked for a supervisor. A senior supervisor got on the phone and read the remarks from my prior calls. She immediately apologized and said that the last customer service person I spoke with did not send the complaint over to the GM of the Wareham store. She said that she would arrange for me to have my payment refunded in full and arrange for a free grooming in addition to give Petco a second try. She did agree that the groomer was probably overworked and so that is probably why they are looking for more groomers. She also said that the GM would definitely call me to ensure this type of incident did not happen again. SO, to be fair, since they finally came through with professionalism, I will give them a second try when my dog next needs a grooming. read more

I have been a customer of Petco for several years. I brought my husky/lab mix in for a bath and trim around paws/butt. I spoke with the groomer and she repeated what she was going to do. When I picked my dog up I was speachless. They had shaved her entire body to about an inch of fur. She is not supposed to ever be shaved as it is her insulation, especially in the winter. I did not receive an explanation from Petco nor an apology. The corporate office brushed it off and said sometimes these things do not pan out the way they should. I am disappointed in the response from Petco and will not use their services in the future. read more

Brought my Bichon Frise for a summer cut at Petco. They did a horrible job on her. She has been shivering ever since. Her hair is all uneven, her nails weren't clipped, her ears weren't cleaned and she is a complete mess. I'm so sorry I ever brought her there. She doesn't even look like a Bichon. Please do me a favor and don't bring your pets there for a grooming! read more
