I have had a great experience so far with getting new stuff for my 2 new pups there, it's always nice and clean and well organized and easy to find what you're looking for. The team was very helpful in getting down some hard to get items and we had to make two trips in and out to get everything we needed with no fuss. We even set up puppy training while we were there and had a coupon for money off for one of the pups and the manager was nice enough to give us the discount for both of them! The reason for the four star review is because we have an older dog who we brought in for grooming and to be honest it wasn't the greatest job. Alyssa groomed my pet, and he came back soaking wet and absolutely covered in matted fur. He was not even close to this matted when I brought him in. His coat was also cut unevenly, and the overall grooming appeared rushed and lacking in care and attention to detail. To make matters worse when I arrived to pick him up he was sitting in his crate on the floor of the salon soaking wet. The experience was further worsened by Katie, the receptionist when I arrived to pick him up. She was unhelpful and provided extremely poor customer service. I will not be returning and would strongly urge others to find a different groomer, as this experience was unsafe and harmful for my pet. The quality of the grooming was unacceptable, and the staff's attitude made the situation even more disappointing. Based on the condition my pet was returned in, Alyssa did not handle him properly or demonstrate the level of care and skill that pet owners should expect from a professional groomer. The one singular positive aspect of the experience was Morgan, the manager. She was kind, understanding, and professional, and I appreciated her willingness to listen to my concerns. read more

The worlds worst - stay away! I took several dogs to Bourne PetrSmart over a few years as finding a groomer for standard poodle on the Upper Cape is challenging. We did find at least one decent groomer but she didn't last. This place seems to specialize in using inexperienced groomers and loosing the good ones. They just butchered my dog this fall; uneven cut, razor burns and totally shaved off a nice fluffy tail! read more

My review is based solely on my experience with the groomers. I had an appointment booked for Monday to get my cat's nails trimmed. I drove there on Monday wait a few minutes to be checked in and then I get told that the person called out from work and that they could not help me that day. The person working the desk told me she would reschedule me for Wednesday and give me a slight discount. I was frustrated but understood that things happen so I agreed. Wednesday comes and I arrive on time for my appointment. I am told that the woman is running late and not here still. Another worker calls her and tells me that she is running 30 minutes late and I would have to wait. Finally, 30 minutes later she came and took my cat back to cut his nails. I'm waiting for 10 minutes when she comes back and tells me that she only did 1 paw because he "did not want it". He was not being violent or aggressive. He has had his nails cut many times by other petsmart locations and never had a single issue. I was extremely disappointed with how this was handled. read more

Amelia groomed my pup Jax and she did an amazing job, I was always skeptical about going here for grooming and I'm always so cautious who to have groom my dog, because of all the horror stories you hear! This girl did such a great job, I was amazed, she is officially my pups new groomer, and I'm glad. The crew at Pet Smart is kind, knows how to handle pets, and does a great job grooming my French Bull Dog. It's a pleasure doing business with them and their prices are very reasonable. $27 for a regular groom and nail trim. $42 includes a Dremel trim. I'd recommend them to anyone! Petsmart switched my dog after grooming This is real and just happened: Petsmart switched my dog after grooming. I'm beginning this post with this headline to emphasize the story. I brought Sandy (an English Cream Golden Retriever) to Petsmart Bourne Rotary on Wednesday Dec 21 at 3:00 PM for a bath. I picked her up at 5:30 and began to notice different behavior. Overnight the behavior changes were so noticeable that I went back to Petsmart and asked if anything had happened that would cause a traumatic response. The same person who returned "my pet" to me the evening before assured me that she had no explanation for the behavior change and would check with the groomer and have her call me the next day, which turned out to be the big storm, Friday Dec 23. As the behavior changes continued to unfold, and no contact from Petsmart, I suspected that this was not our Sandy, returned to Petsmart Saturday morning and asked the supervisor on duty if there was any chance that there was another dog like Sandy in at the same time. After conferring with groomers who were working on the day in question, they confirmed that another dog, same breed, was in that day and picked up by it's family at 3:10 PM. I then brought the dog I had to a vet and had the chip scanned, which confirmed my suspicions. This was not Sandy. After checking the video, Petsmart contacted the other family, who by the way had made a vet appointment to deal with significant behavior changes with their pet. We met at Petsmart and returned the pets to their correct family. While the two dogs looked like twins, somehow a dog that had been at Petsmart for 10 minutes, was given to the wrong family and purported to have been bathed and groomed. Beware of up-charges with the groomers. Be specific about the services you are requesting for your pet, and be sure you are not being charged for additional services you did not request. I have been to this groomer twice, and both times they added services without my permission, and was charged for services I did not ask for - on the second visit, specifically stated I did not need or want. This appears to be standard practice, so be aware before you drop off your pet, and don't be afraid to have the additional charges removed. If it were only the groomers, I would give one star, but the retail store is well-stocked and has friendly associates. I won't be going back to the retail store either, but if you are ONLY going to pick up food and supplies, it's a nice new store. Again, just beware of the services side of the store. read more

Have had nothing but great service here. Have a 6yr old dog and a new puppy and every time I come in the manager and associates are friendly, helpful, and seem like they enjoy their work. Best Petsmart Ive been to. Puppy training classes are great too - definitely recommend! You might get upcharged on grooming services but its nothing they dont ask you about first. double check if they ask if you want something to see what the cost is. read more

I drive over an hour to get my dog groomed here! My husky requires a lot of maintenance and work to be groomed, my dogs are my babies and if the groomer thinks something else needs to be done to him you better believe I will pay the extra $10-20 for him. I've been to a lot of groomers and he hated them. He loves seeing Rachel which is the main reason I make the drive, although the entire petsmart staff is so friendly. One time an employee even went to her own personal stuff she had set on hold just because I was looking for a specific dog bed and she gave me hers! DEFINITELY 5 stars. read more

This is hands down the best grooming service I've ever used. My dogs have had a rough time with groomers; one of my girls got the tip of her tail sliced off about a year ago at a place on the Cape! I was definitely nervous bringing them in because of it, and even though we'd kept up on their grooming over the year we needed a pro to get it done right. Meagan was phenomenal! My dogs are friendly but sometimes apprehensive, but they both went right in after we talked about the key areas that needed to be addressed, and they trotted off happy as can be. I could see the grooming going on through the glass windows where everything is going on. They also ask for proof of vaccinations, which I love, and the entire staff is super friendly. At the end, I picked up my perfectly groomed girls, not a scratch on them; happy, with cute bandanas, and a report card on how their day went. Thank you all so much; we'll be back soon! read more

I have been taking my dog Basil to Nancy one of the groomers at the Bourne PetSmart and I am so pleased. My dog love Nancy and she NEVER added charges I didn't request and she does just what I ask for and no more than that. I also had another groomer here groom my dog once and she did not do anything extra that I did not request. They are wonderful and I recommend them HIGHLY. I always use Nancy and I used one other person only once but I was pleased. I live on a fixed income and they are reasonably priced. read more
