Mack was amazing. My 4 year old has been asking for a fish and I've been hesitant because I have no idea how to set up the tank properly. Mack spent her time with us making sure we got everything we needed. She was so kind and patient with my son. We also got to meet Chris the manager who was also very sweet and helpful. Great team over here.

Stopped into this Petco in the Lee Vista Promenade this weekend on the hunt for a small, free standing doggie gate to keep the pooch from going upstairs. This particular location feels a bit small, but it was clean and well stocked while offering vet services, training classes and some adoption events. They didn't have any adoptable cats this time, but I know I've seen them there before. As for my gate search, I came up empty handed unfortunately. One thing I liked was the amount of pet apparel. The store near my home hardly ever has much in stock, and while I don't normally dress my dog up, I still enjoy checking them out. The location is great with plenty of parking. Staff were all friendly and wearing masks.

My Petco grooming experience - If I could give zero stars, I would. From the beginning, we weren't welcomed inside of the store. When I approached the grooming center, the Spanish lady there was so unwelcoming and quite frankly rude. She looked so annoyed and made for a poor customer experience. When we were told to pick the dog back up, per one of the employees- we had to wait 10 minutes for the employee to return from lunch so we could pay for the service and grab our dog. I paid for a teeth cleaning, and the lady didn't know if it was done or not. What could have service is this?? They butchered my baby so badly. It looks like someone was rushing through it, and shaved my dog WHEN I DIDN'T ASK FOR THAT. Only a trim - which by the way looks terrible. Her tail looks like it was one cut & her main looks awful. So butchered. The back too. Just an overall poor experience. See the pictures for proof. Btw, this $90 of pure garbage. Thanks Petco.

New, organized and clean store. Staff friendly and efficient. Goods were limited and full priced. However, have what you mainly need especially on a fly. They offer Vet services and grooming. They also offer adoptions of cats and dogs

New, sleek and with a very boutique like feel this new location is a great place to stock up on your pet's needs. It's a smaller store for the chain, but it packs in all the essentials you would want. Staff is friendly and they greet you when you walk in the door. They usually have a couple people on staff, which is nice if you have questions. The parking lot is huge, so you'll have little problem finding a spot close by, especially for those of us who buy large dog food bags, this is a bonus. They have concrete floors so it's unique mix of boutique meets warehouse. Check out the treats area, they have a lot of fun items there. One down side is that due to the lack of size, they don't have any good sale or clearance areas in the store, so pretty much everything is full-price. Be sure to grab up your coupons prior to coming. Overall: A Loving the new vibe of this new location!

I've been using the veterinary services with Thrive For which I pay a membership for a year and a half but this time I am really disappointed my dog came back home with vaginal bleeding when I call Thrive they said to go to a clinic or urgent care because they did not have space to see us yesterday or today and we were placed on awaiting list. I don't even know if they did a physical exam on her cause they took her to another room and did not even go over their findings other than pushing to sale the teeth cleaning she has a few lumps and the dr. Did not go over that I will not come back to this place or continue paying the membership

This is a NEW location. They are pretty big, at least bigger than the one we have by our house. They had salt water fish tanks and in those tanks they actually had coral frags! The awesome and cool coral is difficult it find and they had it here! Way to go. There was a nice staff on hand and they were allow people to pet and hold guinnie pigs. I hate how Petco keeps the Long Rats under lock and key. They are fun to play with and watch run around. They only had 1 long rat so he or she was lonely. Store is still very clean and has that new rodent cage smell.

Two dead fish on sale 20% off. Other dead fish not photographed, but also not on sale. All other dead over $9.99.

I have two very different, full of personality huskies and I always trust WoofTang 110%. I make the drive from St Pete to Orlando because this is the only place I completely trust with my dogs. In July of 2024 I decided to make the training investement with both. I knew the mad skills and talents that Lexi & Tai have with dogs and both of mine needed the professional assistance. I enrolled them both together. Archie, is an incredibly stubborn 6 year old husky and Pongo is my overly excited, talking 10 month old Husky. They blend well together but they are not everyone's cup of tea! I trusted these two and their team and they did wonders with compassion, patience and professionalism! My dogs are the core of my world, so as most dog owners I worry how others treat my dogs when away. Lexi would touch in almost everyday, she communicated reports with honesty on progress & she let me know when a post of their training was hitting the social so I could feel better being apart. Recently, when I had to evacuate from St Pete during both of these recent hurricanes to Orlando, the team took them right in and explained to me the precautions and procedures they would be taking with them. This team even stayed overnight during the storms! Talk about going the extra mile. Lexi is amazing at communication and I still ask her questions about training because it's an everyday practice here with my two! Tai radiates love when he talks to the dogs. The staff is very professional, clean, organized and educates you on the different packages/pricing & knows your dog! Also they take great photography of the dogs! (photo of the work added!) Bottom line, if you found this facility and you If you love your dog(s) you struck gold!! I have been bringing them since they opened their doors and I will be loyal to this team forever. Note: my dogs could attend our wedding BECAUSE of Lexi and Tai's training with them.

PLEASE READ IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING THIS FACILITY!…read more After giving my dog a month to readjust, I'm leaving an honest review of my experience. I chose this business because of its reviews and proximity. I explained that my German Shepherd puppy had service-dog potential but I couldn't train him myself due to health reasons. The owner seemed knowledgeable, so I invested over $2,400 for their basic obedience board-and-train. From the start, there were red flags. The contract included extra charges--such as several hundred dollars for potty training--despite those services being advertised as included. They also charged a mandatory $55 bath fee. (This is important later on) During his stay, communication was minimal and our dog rarely appeared on their social media until we specifically requested more updates. At pickup, the trainer demonstrated commands using a prong collar fitted far too loosely and incorrectly. When my puppy hesitated, the trainer harshly snapped the leash, making him yelp, cry, and visibly shut down in fear. Despite this, he continued applying hard corrections until he got up from the ground. After returning home, we discovered they never gave back his collar and he smelled strongly of urine and feces, despite the bath charge. While settling him in after bathing him ourselves, we also found a 5-6 inch injury on his thigh. A vet confirmed it was rope burn and that he also had a staph infection--both of which occurred during his time there. None of this was disclosed to us when it happened or at the end of his stay. Previously, they had refused to give me a tour of their facility. After everything that happened, I contacted animal control to get more information. Anyone considering this facility should know that their animal control records are public and free to request. The reports include dogs dying in their care, kennels covered in feces and urine, roach infestations, unsafe kennel wiring, and reports of dogs yelping like they're being hit. From the notes, it looks like they often refuse access to animal control during surprise visits until they can temporarily clean their facility to meet code. The only positive was that my dog came back with a good heel and place. Nothing else with his training stuck despite daily reinforcements of what they taught him since being back. Cons: Collar not returned Returned dirty and smelling of urine/feces despite bath fee Upcharged for services listed as included Came back with a staph infection Came back with a 5-6 inch rope-burn injury Now fearful of men raising their voices Had to provide all his food/treats (You'd think with board and train, the price would cover that?) Pros: Good heel and place

Richard was pleasant when we were potential clients and made us feel comfortable leaving our Shepherd in his care. I told Richard that my German Shepherd was skittish and afraid and very leery of men. After the first week I called for an update and his wife was abrupt, sharp and every time I tried to speak, she raised her voice and spoke over me. When I spoke to Richard, I asked for a picture of my dog to see her and they told me there would be a charge for a picture. Richard told me to watch the website and there would be pictures of her regularly. Truth is, they only post pictures of dogs that look happy and my dog, Daisy, was never happy so her picture was almost never on the website. Possibly 2 pictures in 10 weeks? A few weeks later, I got a call that Daisy "broke 2 kennels" and I had to pay for it. I don't believe that happened, Daisy was not aggressive. In the end, they charged me $8,000 for the training, the 2 kennels and an e-collar. I was overcharged for everything but had no recourse, I had to pay. When my dog came home, I took her to the vet because she was alarmingly skinny and more skittish and afraid than ever. The vet put Daisy on Prozac and told me she lost 21 lbs. I shared Daisy's "graduation video" with everyone at the vet's office and everyone agreed that she seems as though she was abused. Richard's training methods may work on some dogs but not all. He was determined to make Daisy comply to his methods and refused to alter, even when she kept losing weight and shutting down. Halfway through her training, he told me she is "stubborn and a bitch and he has had 1 other dog as difficult as Daisy". But even though his methods did not work, he never altered his training methods, and I believe he abused my dog to try and make her comply. He kept Daisy for 95 days, telling me he can't send her home till she "accepts and complies because she is a representation of him". In the end, after 95 days, he gave up. Richard and his wife and children run the business, and I would never recommend him to anyone.
