I'll never take my dog to Petco grooming again. When I picked up my dog, coco after her grooming appointment I knew something wasn't right. She was her usual excited self when she came out, instead she whimpered, quiet, and subdued. This behavior only continued once we got home. She's usually excited and ready to get out and will beat me to the door eager to get inside, instead, she quiet walked to the door and sat waiting for me. Thinking she must of just had a rough/stressful visit, I gave her her favorite treat, but she just looked at it and then quietly walked to her bed and laid there. I decided to call Petco and ended up speaking to the grooming manager, I didnt get her name, I asked if there was an incident or accident that I needed to be aware of, she stated there wasn't anything she was aware of. I explained what was going on and expressed that this was not Coco's typical behavior, she said that it was extremely busy that day and that there were several loud barking dogs so Coco might just be stressed. A couple of days later we discovered these bruises. Thankfully after a trip to the Vet nothing was broken and she has slowly returned back to her normal self. I attempted to contact the grooming manager again, once I was told she was in and I left me message. The 2nd time, I left a voice message and still haven't heard back. I'll never go back and anyone that does needs to be careful. They're either really harsh with the dogs or negligent.

If I could I would leave 0 stars. First off the groomers look like they hate their job and have such horrible attitudes. I thought it was just the guy at the front guest I decided to trust the people inside. Pls don't. My baby is 5 months old. Has been getting groomed since she turned 4 months. This was her 4th grooming session. She usually does so good & she comes out excited and happy and full of energy. this time was different. She seemed scared and was crying the whole car ride home & at home just laying there. Not to say I had a discussion with the groomers because they swear they did not trim my puppies hair when I can clearly tell they did and her hair is uneven. Great Pyrenees should not have fur trimmed like that! The parts they should've trimmed they didn't. Picked her up with all her long dirty fur on her paw pads still intact and her ear hair no slight trim or anal trim. Which I had gotten done prior at Corona Petco and was part of the plan. Here they said "oh if you didn't tell us to at the front desk then we don't do it" excuse me? It's a part of my plan. I am paying you to do everything included. You don't pick and choose what to do. I had them do her paw pads at least before I left and they trimmed them in about a minute and almost shaved too much on them. She also tried dragging my pup inside dragging her across their dirty floors right after she had just gotten cleaned!! I had to stop her and she offered to pick her up instead I was like??? My pup had never been more afraid of a groomer. Her paws still look dirty. She had some dirt still stuck. Her fur looks unevenly trimmed. Which should not have been trimmed at all!! After reading these other reviews I'm scared they mistreated my girl as well. She's always done so good at other groomers and they always love her and want her back. This time was horrible. If you love your pets don't make the mistake I did. I needed a fast appt and chose to come and trust them here. Not to mention right after I dropped off my pup someone else came to tell them abt how they cut his dogs fur and had them fix it. Should've been my sign to take my girl home. Please don't bring your puppies here. I paid $60 could've gone somewhere where I know she would've been treated better and cleaned properly!

I've been coming to this particular Petco for about 3 1/2 years. I should have kept a better eye on there reviews and Stars on this App. I'm so disappointed in Jennifer and Harmony with the grooming Staff. I received messages throughout the day asking if it was Ok to bring my Dog Max in for cut and shampooing. We recently adopted Max from a family that adopted him through a foundation that was connected with Petco. That's what it says on his Paperwork. It was very difficult to find an appointment that suited my availability, Plus the schedule was booked for 2 weeks. During these text messages Harmony from grooming started bringing up excuses that it wasn't gonna be ample time to honor my appointment. Then why would your app give me this time an availability. I completely understood that there are issues with Dogs and temperaments, That's something Harmony assumed from the get go. My dog is very calm and is not aggressive it's 19 lbs.She continued on with excuses throughout this exchange which i thought was very strange. If you can't accommodate and honor your appointments and the appointment times you give your customers, Why have a schedule. My last text back on this thread was that I would see them at my appointment time.Then I got a cancellation notice 2 minutes. Are these companies policies. To me it sounded they just didn't want to stay til 6 on a Saturday evening. That's not my Problem. I'm ending my relationship with Petco. I'm truly disappointed at Jennifer the manager after calling her to resolve the issue, she had no clue how to.Id put a zero star if I had

We have had great luck using petco's grooming service. The technicians are all really polite and courteous, always give good customer support, and the little animal comes out looking like the princess that she is. Interestingly, the princess we didn't know was a poodle because she was a rescue, and was covered with awful things when we found her. We had to keep her shaved for about 6 months so her skin would heal. When we could let her hair grow it was another 6 months before we even knew she was a poodle.

It was my puppy's first time getting groomed here . I paid for the vital care because I figured it would be easy to get vaccines and grooming done in the same place yesterday at 8 am my dog had his grooming appointment, but no one showed up until 8:30 am that should have been my sign to get my dog and leave, but I stayed. The worker apologized to me. She recommended that I get the deluxe package because it was his first time, and she wanted to see if he would have a negative reaction to the hair dryer. If he did, then she should recommend not to get him trimmed down that day, which I agreed to. At 9:22 am I got a call stating that he had a positive reaction and she could go ahead and trim him down. We discussed styles and hung up . At 10:20, I received a call from the manager telling me that my dog had been nipped . I understand that accidents happen, and they took care of all the medical costs, but as I was leaving, she stated, "All these dramatic for a small cut," which I believe to be super unprofessional. My dog had gotten blood all over me. He was clearly traumatized. As a manager, you should never make a comment like that. Maybe she does not care for her animals but adores mine, and this has been such a heartbreaking experience for me. I will never let them groom any of my animals or family members. It just made me think that they were rushing because a groomer didn't show up to work, and now they had extra dogs to groom. I was so upset that I can't even remember her name. You guys need to do better.
