She gets nervous when people come into the home and I'm not there which makes pet sitting a challenge - so much so that she was fired as a client by the service I used in Chicago. Enter Newman's. Not only are both sitters, Emma and Christine, lovely people, they handled Edna in stride. They are awesome about sending texts after every visit and give me updates and details so it never feels like they're just checking a box. Christine has been our go-to and she's just awesome...noticing things like new food bowls and finding nice things to say about my salty Edna. I always look forward to her texts when I'm away. The owner, Jena responds to requests immediately (even when she's on vacation) and never has a problem with last-minute schedule changes. Overall, the level of service is truly exceptional - I highly recommend Newman's if you're looking for someone to take amazing care of your pets while you're away.

I assumed the glass canopy top I had on my old 40 breeder would fit the new 40 breeder but I was wrong. My old glass top would not sit down into the top and was too big by about 1/8 of an inch. I called the 1-800 number on the aquarium info. The brand turned out to be PetsMart brand and the customer service was actually customer no-service. At first he said that since the top and aquarium were a different brand I should not have expected it to fit. Then he proceeded to tell me that the PetsMart brand did not even make a glass top for their 40 breeder size aquarium. You see the issue here don't you? They sell a 40 breeder but not a glass canopy to fit it, but it is my issue that the glass canopy I already have doesn't fit. So, I am irked a leave a review on their website about the issue. Then I decide to call the store we purchased it at. Well, the manager I spoke with was VERY nice and VERY understanding about my issue. She offered to switch out their brand for an Aqueon brand (same as my glass canopy). I could not do this because I had just spent the whole day moving my REEF TANK from one to the other. Fish and corals were already stressed, no way was I going to do that just for a glass canopy that didn't fit quite right. She said she would try and figure something out and get back with me. Well, she did get back with me and offered a 50% refund for my issue since my only reasonable option would be to go have glass cut to fit the aquarium instead of switching the whole tank again. I think we both won since they were having a dollar gallon sale on aqueon, but this was great customer service from the store itself. The customer service from the great choice 1-800 number was TERRIBLE.

I had an appointment tomorrow at 10 am and they called me at 8:45 pm telling me they had to cancel my NEXT DAY APPOINTMENT because the groomer was "out". And they can't get me rescheduled until July 1st which is over a week wait. I think this is extremely unprofessional and think they could be done better. Won't be coming back.

This resulted in a dogs spinal cord being severed in 2 places, that ultimately led to him having to euthanized, due to neglect and failure on the owner's part! Beware of this place! The dog is now dead because of their actions! It was the owners own dogs that killed it totally avoidable but owners clearly don't care about the Health and safety of your dogs

When I called on his birthday, they already knew it was his special day and were so sweet about it. It genuinely made me smile knowing they remembered and were already planning on celebrating him. Boaz was boarding there for 11 days, and the level of care and attention they gave him the entire time was incredible. It means so much to trust people who truly care about your dog like their own. I repeatedly expressed concern over putting my pet on long term steroids to reduce inflammation, yet got no reassurances or answers. Maybe this is just common vet practice I didn't know, but I didn't appreciate being kept in the dark.
