We HIGHLY recommend KC DAWGZ at the Gladstone location! Our sweet, sassy, smart, and a lot…read morestubborn 7 month old girl Zona was struggling with leash reactivity, anxiety, dog reactivity, etc. One of our neighbors recommended them so I called right away and from the first phone call I knew they were the ones to give us the help we needed! Richard has done AMAZING things for our whole family after 4 weeks-I even extended her training! Zona is just a happier girl and I'm no longer nervous taking a 70+lb guardian breed (at 8 months) out in public, greeting people, or on walks. And the girls who greet her every day are just as great! If you are considering professional training for your dog-just go for it. Richard worked with me to read her cues, loose leash walking, heeling, recall, working towards neutral with other dogs (WIP), and many more things. I'm as much a work in process as she is, but the patience they have shown is unmatched.

Our dog Ruby just went through a 4 week behavior modification training program with Steph at the…read moreGladstone location. Ruby was reactive on leash and at at our fence with the neighbor dogs, and had problems focusing on us (and what we wanted) while she was outside. She's the first non-food-motivated dog we've ever had, and so we had no idea how to get her attention when she was so focused on everything else. We had only ever trained with treats and that just wasn't working this time. But Steph did know how to train her. After training, our dog is calm and confident. She can loose leash walk in the neighborhood at heel. She's patient and well mannered. A model citizen. She will focus on us when we're outside and come when called, which used to be a struggle if there was a nice breeze, or an interesting leaf, or a bee, or the moon to gaze at. I highly recommend training through KC Dawgz and the associated Digs boarding facility/play group in Gladstone. We dropped Ruby off every morning and picked her up after work, and got to take home a well behaved dog in the evening. She learned while we were working, when we didn't have the time or expertise to do it ourselves. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. If you just have a wacky four legged roommate or a furkid who has a tougher problem, Steph can sort them out for you. The initial consultation was free and easy to schedule and the package we went with included in-home training lessons to make sure everything worked out right at home, too. Some of the best money we have ever spent. (Thank you Steph!!!)

This is an absolutely immaculate PetSmart! Located in the evolving Antioch shopping area, this made…read morefor the perfect addition to the area, the nearest pet store is PetCo on Vivion Road. It was so refreshing walking into a PetSmart that was so clean, organized and new! It was extremely easy to locate things in the store and the wide aisles made for easy access to anything. I have noticed that at other locations (especially Ward Parkway), there are literally giant columns in the middle of aisles making it to where you can't even push a cart down. Not here though! This was thought out and executed very well. And what more, the staff was extremely friendly and passionate about their work. I was offered help three times during my perusing which was awesome! The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the only thing this location lacks in an onsite veterinarian. Because of this, they do NOT carry any sort of prescription pet food or treats. This was rather surprising to me because this is a huge location, maybe it will change in the future. This store is still very new.

Agreed to pay extra since he is harder to handle. She originally told me 2 to 3 hours. Supposed to have a bath, haircut, nail cut and file them. Within 45 minutes I get a call saying that they clipped his nails but couldn't perform any of the other services. Emily said I can pick him up right now because she just couldn't do her job and my dog wasn't doing well in the kennel. I told her the only time he's in a kennel is when he is being groomed. Unless your dog is perfectly trained, I mean perfectly, don't take them there. + 59

Mike at K.I.S.S. Dog training has made a monumental impact not only on our Australian Cattle Dog,…read moreBernie, but our whole family. We started out as a complex case due to Bernie's reactivity towards other people, a variety of objects (mainly those with wheels), hyperactivity, etc. We learned how to keep Bernie under his threshold so he gets to practice good behavior as much as possible. We went through his Babies Don't Bark course and Bernie is now the best older brother to my one month old! I never would have imagined Bernie would be walking next to a stroller or staying calm by lying off to the side when people/dogs pass by but sure enough he's doing it...still with lots of cheese to motivate him :-) Mike helped us get anxiety meds started, which has made a big difference, and has normalized wearing a muzzle! I won't sugar coat the amount of work and patience it takes to keep up on training but it's been worth it. Mike is so responsive in emails (within hours of asking a question) and has lots of YouTube videos and books to help owners. Training a dog is a life long experience! Last year I felt overwhelmed but now I have a better understanding of how to help Bernie in different situations so I feel in control. Special shout-out to Angela for being so helpful with scheduling! Thank you!!

I really appreciate all that he has done for me and my pup. He has made the training process much easier than I thought it would be, and he makes it much more fun too. The only reason we hired this place and spent almost $1000 was to work on the puppy biting. We were…read moretold they would be giving us a report card everyday on how the training was going. We gave our puppy a bath before going in and he came back smelling AWFUL. Even when we got him at the shelter he didn't smell that bad. So I have no idea how clean their facility actually is because he absolutely stunk every single time he came back from here. They did not work on the biting and did not give us a daily report card. It was a "trust me bruh" but they gave no explanation of what they had worked on whatsoever. When we asked the owner why they were not following through with the agreement made when we hired them, she tried pinning my husband and I against each other gaslighting us saying we didn't communicate together. Her exact quote was "it seems like you and your husband aren't communicating very well". Absolutely crossing the line. . Not only is that completely unprofessional as an owner to question a customer's marriage but to flat out lie is unacceptable. The owner is completely out of line and a scammer. They gave us zero information on what they worked on with our puppy and no report cards. We have no idea what he did all day while in their care. The report card we were told before hiring them would be DAILY. We got Monday's. Tuesday we didn't get one so on Wednesday I mentioned it to the morning staff. He stated they were down a trainer so we would get both today (wednesday). My husband mentioned it to the evening staff at pickup and was told the same thing but stated the delay was due to a sick trainer. Thursday morning we still haven't gotten a report card and haven't been told anything about what has been worked on. The owner tried lying stating they always had told us that we wouldn't be getting daily updates when that is a flat out lie. We had a call with the owner before hiring them where she stated we would be getting daily updates and SHE told us the class she thought would be best based on our goal. I can't stress enough how much of a liar this owner is and now she's trying to twist the narrative. We did not expect perfection we made it very clear we know he's a puppy. However, we have not been told a single thing of what they worked on with our dog. Nor has the biting even slightly gotten better. This was supposed to be a longer course, so the owner falsely framing this as if we expected a magical difference in three days is not only misleading but it is another lie. A complete waste of time and money. Do not recommend. They will tell you what you want to hear then change everything after you pay
