I've officially switched pet stores. I only stopped by because my pet store was out of the calming chews my dog needed. This is why I stopped going to this store......It's more of a smoke shop because all the employees have red eyes and smelt of marijuana. Especially the red headed lady. She is especially rude. They're standing around simply smoking their e-cigarettes and ignore you. They never greet you. When you ask for help they act like it's the biggest inconvenience. They rather talk to each other than actually do customers service. I hate going here. I could have sworn I saw them till their eyes at me. Next time I'll just order off the web and pay for the fast delivery. read more

We took our pup for a much needed bath and nail trim. The staff was amazing-especially the groomer Addie. She loved our pup and said he was so good for her. Said to bring him back anytime. They got him all taken care of in a timely manner and even called us to let us to know he would be done in about 30 mins. We will deff be back! read more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! I showed SO MANY PICTURES of my mini golden doodle and they RUINED his hair!!! His head looks much bigger than his body. I can see his NAILS and how badly cut they were. Pay money to make sure you get what you want, and you are basically throwing it in the garbage here. They clipped or shaved my dog's paws so close that it irritated my his skin. Needed to get a vet prescription for an ointment!!!! You can see that my pets hair is extremely irritated by the way they cut his hair. The image I showed, TWICE, is nothing like the cut they gave my pet. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE!!!!!!! read more

I took my little dog , Harley, to be groomed! They were so good with him! I was very pleased with his hair cut!

The manager and management of this store is lacking oversight, customer service and leadership. As many complaints that have been written in writing you'd think they'd get their shit together and hire more staffing and better dog groomers!!!! They Nicole and fine you for everything in the grooming service but yet provide horrible grooming and professionality. Uneven hair cuts, no buffing after nail trims, no professional customer service. Customers pay for services that are less than subpar. Makes me wonder if their groomers know what the hell they're doing. They seem to hire anybody regardless whether they are qualified or not!!!!! I drove down to this Petco from Asheville, as grooming appointments are booked out for around two months everywhere there. I called four days ahead of time, and set up appointments for my two Standard poodles on Saturday morning. While on the same call, I realized we had a prior engagement on Saturday, so I asked if we could change it to the following Sunday. I was told that would be no problem, and the appointment was set. Today (Sunday), we woke up early and arrived 10 minutes before our appointment. I told the girl at the front my dogs names and appointment times, and she told me they didn't have any appointments on file for them. Apparently the appointment never got switched from yesterday on their end, and instead of following up with us then to see if we were still coming, they simply marked us as a no show. Her attitude gave us the impression that she couldn't have cared less, as she basically shrugged when I told her I had called and set it up with someone and wasn't sure what was happening. When I asked if there was anything else that could be done, they said they could give one of our dogs a haircut, but at that point, I didn't care for them to put their hands on our animals. I can't speak to their grooming abilities, but you'd find better customer service in a graveyard. Please avoid this spot at all costs. read more

We took our goldendoodle Sadie to Petco today for a grooming. It was much needed and they were able to take us the next day after calling. The only words I can use to describe it is awesome. In true doodle style she was very curly and long and they have turned her into a beauty queen. The woman who did her grooming was experienced, you could tell how much she loved dogs, and she bragged about Sadie's behavior. I will definitely be coming back here it was timely as well as reasonably priced. read more

Kelly was awful. My appointment was made before the store opened. She treated my husband and I like complete idiots because we asked how to get in. She was very rude and acted like it was torture for her to be there. She had a horrible attitude problem. We ended up walking out because we didn't trust her nasty attitude with our dog. read more

Terrible grooming job. They took all the feathers off my golden and it was uneven from the left to the right leg. Ears were very choppy and uneven. I asked just for a sanitary cut. Don't go there for grooming a golden! Also customer service was terrible waiting for 15 mins for someone to go in the back and get my dog. Just glad there were no cuts and my dog was healthy. read more

Please do not take your dog there. They will complain about your dogs behavior and just blame their failure to perform on the dog. I had my girlfriend my yorkie there and they just shaved her with the same blade all over. They had a picture of the yorkie cut we wanted and they failed!! Do NOT take your dogs there. I took mine once and I noticed that one groomer was yelling at a dog. NONE of the groomers smiled or were affectionate toward the dogs. I decided maybe it was a bad day so I brought mine in again today. The groomer slouched into the room, never even spoke to the dogs who were excited to greet someone, told me that I wasn't signed up for the services I'd asked for and there was no time for all of it. She never broke a smile nor apologized for the mistake. I took the dogs out and did not leave them. It is a horrible place. read more

This Petco on North a pleasantburg dr has only 1 person working checkout no matter how many people are in line. Today there was no one. I knocked on the door of the office and no one came. I walked around the store and finally someone came but he continued to talk to a customer in the middle of the store. There was someone behind us also who wanted to checkout. The app is always having trouble so it is hard to checkout and get curbside service. The store is always a mess too. read more

Took my Beagle-Terrier there to get washed, and groomed since it's been a while since she has gotten one. They cleaned her up really well and she smells amazing. She was so happy when I went to pick her up. I also took my Lab-Chow mix there, and it was his first time going to anything like this. He's a very shy and timid dog so when I first got there. He was so scared causing him to try and stay near me. The people there worked with him thankfully. When I went to pick him up too along with my Beagle-Terrier. He was so happy when I got there. He was no longer shy and scared there. He went from being scared of the groomers there to giving kisses to all of them. My Beagle-Terrier seems to have had an ear infection starting from my Lab-Chow mix constantly trying to lick her ear. So they informed me on it, and even cleaned where it was starting to help my dog feel better. Everyone was so kind and really made my dogs feel welcome. read more

I have been taking my Rough Collie here to be groomed the last few years and every time they do a fantastic job! She's a tough dog to groom with those long tail feathers, ankle hair, behind the ears etc. and especially since we don't do the best job keeping up with it on our own (hate to say it!). Always had my cat groomed here.Came in to get him groomed and they said they are not allowed to groom cats anymore. Because of my allergies I have to get him groomed and shaved twice a year. They did refer us to a clinic but I will check and see if our vet grooms pets or take him to petsmart. I think it is sad that because of one bad incident that everyone has to be punished. read more

No stars. Negative experience at this store directly led me to drive to PetSmart to purchase what I needed. I was in line waiting to pay for my purchase when a lack of managerial oversight led to an extensive wait at the ONE register that was open. When they finally opened another register, that cashier took the person who was in line behind me. I was the NEXT CUSTOMER in line. I set my purchase down and walked out. Also, the employees were too busy chit chatting with each other to be helpful. When I asked for assistance locating an item, the employee who "helped" me could only be bothered long enough to point in the general direction. I bought some pet supplies there today, the staff are friendly enough and the store is well stocked with a variety of pet supplies. However, when I checked out the cashier slipped an advertisement for their pet vet services ....and charged me $2.99 for it!! I did not ask to purchase this nor do I think it is a wise business practice to steal your advertising budget from your customers. I will be shopping at PetSMART from now on. read more

After going to the Petco on Woodruff, I will never shop at this store, or Petsmart ever again. Anyone with concerns about this business just needs to do what I did and make the trip across town.
