Metropolitan Vet Emergency saw us promptly and knew exactly what was wrong with my good boy. It wasn't what I wanted to hear - it was the worst news anyone with a dog wants to hear. He had lesions on his liver and was bleeding internally. They couldn't guarantee he'd make it through the night without bleeding out. I had to make a tough decisions. They didn't rush me. They gave me time to call my family and allowed time for my family to all gather. I was too shocked to adequately explain what was going on with my dog, so they told my family. They gave us time so my family could go home and get my other dog so she'd be able to say goodbye (it's recommended). They wheeled my good boy out on a gurney so we could go on one last walk together. It was like old times on that walk. For however long we were out there, I forgot why we were there. He seemed so normal until he collapsed again outside. They gave me the best, most dignified goodbye to my best friend I ever could've asked for. It was completely unexpected and when I brought him in, I just thought he was injured. I'm crying while writing this review because my boy wasn't that old and I thought we had so many more years together. But they helped his pain and gave us one more beautiful evening together that I'll treasure. And I know that he's still with me but he's no longer sick and in pain. It's easy to want to give them 1-star because of pain and them telling you something you don't want to hear. I was angry at first too, but not at them. I was angry at the world for taking my dog away. But they did right by my dog. And for that I'm grateful. And I feel like writing this has helped me grieve some.

I was told NO, our prices are set in stone from Columbus. ??????? WHAT? you CANNOT give a discount to someone after they were JUST there for a prior surgery?????? After the second surgery, the lameness was still there and the DOCTOR told me I would need an MRI to determine where to do an injection. ANOTHER 2,500.00. NOPE. My vet, whom I called before his follow up, said to ask for steroids and if the doctor would not give them to me, she would. He DID give them to me but said , and I quote, "This is like throwing sand at the problem". OK . RUDE. After the 3 week regimine, he is walking fine and never had a problem since. RIDICULOUS. The Cat Company was very accommodating and provided great care to my cat during his stay. They provided regular updates as well. She was able to instantly bond with Zeus and leave an amazing first impression! She has been great at taking care of him for me while I go on week long trips for my work in Minneapolis and also visiting family out in California. She always sends photos to me and tells me updates everyday while I am out of town. In November, she mentioned to me that Zeus was drinking too much water and recommended I get him looked at by a vet. When I took Zeus in, the vet diagnosed him with feline diabetes. I would not have been able to get him diagnosed as quickly if it were not for Kelsey looking out for me and his best interests. Kelsey has been also to help with administering insulin for me while I am gone so he is able to be his happy and healthy self while I am gone. Since his diagnosis, she has been great at sending me updates on his water intake and any medical issues that arises. Kelsey is a honest, hard working woman with a passion for all animals. She is dedicated to ensuring all animals in her care are taken care of and loved while their owners are away. I would recommend her to any person in the area who needs someone to take care of their animals. Normally I get very anxious leaving Zeus while I travel. With Kelsey, she has been able to elevate any concerns that I have and make me feel comfortable with traveling anywhere in the US (and Canada!).
