Wish there was a separate review for the grooming services - they warranted six-stars - the grooming team were terrific and took great care of my dog at an extremely reasonable price! Now if I were to leave stars for the store staff, specifically the cashiers, it would be ZERO. Stood at a cashier stand for a couple of minutes, no one was there to help me. One team member was at the end of an aisle (in view of the checkstands) stacking something onto a shelf. After a couple of minutes I cleared my throat and she noticed me. Instead of coming over to help me, she said "I'll be right with you" and then RETURNED TO STACKING THE SHELF. So much for taking care of the customer, huh? So I continued to stand there - eventually another team member came around the corner and helped me (yeah, she was still stacking when he did). In today's day and age, serving the customer is what it is all about. I can get pet supplies exactly the same and in some cases cheaper using Chewy.com (free delivery too) - so I will continue to bring my dog to grooming as that team is terrific, but don't expect me to buy a single can of dog food from a place that trains team members to finish a stacking job before helping a customer. I don't believe in rewarding that with my patronage. read more

Took our golden retriever to be trimmed up for the summer. We made an appointment online for 930am. Groomer forgot she had an appointment and didn't show up til almost 10. We showed a pic to the groomer of what we meant by a trim up and she seemed OK with it. I called around 1 to check on my dog and they said she was acting fussy and they weren't done yet. When we finally went to go pick up my dog, we found her shaved to nothing. YOU NEVER SHAVE A GOLDEN!! They claimed they couldn't see the hair cut in the pic and blamed my husband's communication skills. After complaining to corporate, the Manager called me and again placed all the blame on us. Now my dog's hair is ruined and It is no longer soft. This groomer should not be working with dogs. She should know to never ever shave a double coated dog. read more

My family took our dog for grooming and when she was done, her one eye wouldn't open and it was bloodshot/swollen. She sprinted away from the store to our car as soon as she could and when we got home, was no longer the happy and friendly pup she usually is. We called to ask what happened to her eye and the employee just said they didn't notice anything, trying to say maybe shampoo got in her eye. After having to take her to the vet, she now has a corneal ulcer (def not caused by "shampoo in the eye")!! The vet also had to clean her ears and clip her nails because it had not been done by the groomers. It's one thing to admit that someone may have nicked her eye (which is what it looked like from what appears to be dry blood) and another thing to deny it and say nothing, forcing us to go to the vet, getting meds and a cone for truly the sweetest dog. My dog usually loves going to the groomers because she is very social and loves making "friends," but she has been sad and unwell since this visit. Disappointed in both the service and how it was handled. read more

First time using their dog bath facility. I was greeted with cheerful staff. They explained and showed me how everything worked. The room was very clean. Afterwards they asked how it went. Overall, a very positive experience. I felt very welcome at the store. Because of this, I would likely go out of my way again to go to this location rather than a closer pet store. Well done. This is a great pet store! They always have really nice staff and a good selection of everything we need. Their prices are also reasonable and they price match with amazon which is great. You can also tell they keep an eye on their products and sell dates. They're constantly marking food down as it gets closer to expiration and they always have a lot of clearance items at the front of the store. read more

Took my dog to be groomed and gave specific instructions on what I wanted. Everything I said that I did not want was done. My dog is unrecognizable. Even my neighbors cannot believe it is my dog. Have used them before but never again. Groomer was just in a hurry and did what she wanted. read more

We had two good experiences so far. Our initial visit was an impromptu tooth brushing. It went so well that I thought we'd try a full groom and trim. I bought a Guinea Pig from this store, 1st I was told it was a female and 2nd it came with ring worm! We took it to the vet because it's ear was all crusty and new something was not right, so yes ringworm and the vet tells me its a male not a female. We called the store for assistance thinking they would help out and maybe offer to supply us with an additional cage and supplies since now we have to have 2 cages...they told us because we signed the form that said they are not accountable for anything they will not offer anything. I understand but so highly disappointed and very upset. I paid $100 for the vet bill and now I have buy another cage and supplies to keep them separated and then pay to have him neutered!! I cannot return him because what would happen to him with ringworm, would they treat him? Doubt it!! And all they said was sorry we cannot help you. We got him as a friend for our other one so now what?? Unbelievable!! If anyone wants to purchase a Guinea Pig from them or any other small animal I would not recommend this place at all!!! I can't even believe I have to give them at least 1 star!! read more

It makes me sad to write this review... 4 years or so ago, I bought an adorable teddy bear hamster from this pet shop, I named her Cashmere and she stole my heart. I found it interesting how the sales associate wanted me to adopt her over any of the other pets, here's why... For the first few days, Cashmere was happy, healthy and then I had to rush her to an emergency vet because of wet tail and she died. The emergency vet said she wasn't a young hamster like the salesgirl said, she was an older hamster with crooked teeth who couldn't digest her food which is why she eventually died, all within 2 weeks of my owning her. Within 2 weeks, I fell blissfully in love with an adorable pet and as soon as I started to adore her, she died due to health issues that she had from the start...when I called to get reimbursed for the vet expenses, I was met with an attitude of not caring and distaste, they did refund us for all of the supplies. It was the way that Josh talked to me then, like why should he care about a little hamster? That's the vibe that I got. I do appreciate the refund, but the heartache and distress that all of this caused was really a lot to deal with, very upsetting. Some of the pet care associates were nice but the animals were in very small cages. I often felt sorry for the bunnies who I saw there in tiny cages. As someone who has worked with animals all of my life, in pet stores and even for a vet, also in customer service, the way that I was treated was not okay. Again I do appreciate the refund but it was the heartache and poor customer service. Go to Petsmart in Warminster! My very happy Guinea pig has been with me for over 4 years from that Petsmart! read more

I take my little Yorkie to get groomed here by Angela. Always a great experience. The other wonderful thing is that your little pooch doesn't have to be here for long. It is usually 1.5 hours. I buy my cat food and litter here regularly. The staff always greets you when you arrive, and are friendly and knowledgeable. I was looking for a special kind of algae eater about 2 years ago after I moved to the area. Petsmart had been out of for a few weeks, so they told me to try here, the manager was able to order it for me and had it in that week. I have been shopping here ever since. read more

Josh, the manager called me to discuss the issues. He said that he will address the issues with the staff. He said I will not find dirty sinks and drains clogged with hair the next time I come. The towels are kept outside of the room because they only get a limited amount, and this is how they limit people from using more then they need. I understand that. I have gotten two birds and many fish here, and also my pet supplies. The workers are fantastic, and you can tell how much they love all their pets. They have let me and my kids handle birds that costs thousands of dollars, and also touch and handle many other pets in the store. They are attentive and answer all my questions with knowledge of the animals. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here, and highly recommend it to everyone. My daughter loved them so much that she painted them a picture, and it has been hanging on their wall for over a year now. Really, this is my favorite pet store around. read more

I purchased a dog bed which began to fall apart in under 3 months. I attempted to return the item with my original receipt (I was fine with a store credit) but the manager was very dismissive and kept repeating "it's over 30 days." He did not even take the time to look at the item, just continued to be rude. I tried to explain that I understood about the 30 day policy but this was clear a defective item and I thought that they should stand behind the quality of the merchandise they sell. He still refused my request to return the bed and walked away. This man needs some training in customer service. At the very least, he could have referred me to the corporate office. Instead he let a frequent customer walk out feeling angry and cheated. I contacted Pets Supply Plus customer service online, providing photos and my original receipt. They responded quickly and positively, issuing me a gift card in the amount I had paid. Five stars for them! However, I will not return to the Warrington store again after using my gift card. The attitude of the manager left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

This is a very nice small store that has a surprisingly large selection of products. Everything is kept neat and clean and the store is always very well staffed on my few visits here. The prices are good too and they routinely offer coupons if you have their Club card. This is definitely a good place to stop and check out before driving to those other big-box pet stores. read more

The Betta fish need better housing. Last two times I was at the store - the Bettas were in tiny cramped cups with plastic tops over them , on a display shelf with closed in sides. Warm in the store only a hole or two in the plastic top. Bettas are air breathers but how in the World are they to get air displayed they way they are. The fish were lacking in color, looked sickly laying on the bottom of the cups or floating around the top. Used to be Male Bettas would be put one in each of the regular fish community tanks, they had freedom, their coloring was intense and lovely to those looking to buy - you could stand at the tank, snap your fingers and the fish would come with interest perhaps flare etc. Crazy how this new fade for offering these gorgeous fish for sale is done now. The pet store in Huntingdon Valley at least has air hoses going into each of their Betta cups - the fish are a little more lively for it. read more
