When I stopped by my *favorite* pet store this week -- it's next to Trader Joe's in Florham Park -- I was shocked to discover the cat adoption area was gone. When I asked the pet store owner where the cats were, he explained that a few people had posted very negative comments about the store and its owners, citing mistreatment of the cats. What?? If anything, the owners of the shop, as well as the rescue shelter that sponsored the cats and handled the adoption process, deserve our gratitude. The shop owners had been graciously donating space to host the cats to help them get adopted. The agency sponsoring the cats sent someone to the store every day to tend to them. I've always been impressed with the level of cleanliness of the crates (and also of the store in general). Such a strange and sad story about a local pet shop trying to do good and becoming the target of some online bullies. read more

I can no longer shop or support this store in florham park. they have cats for adoption in cramped conditions. this has been brought to the owners attention and nothing has changed. cats need to stretch and it is cruel not to ever take them out of the cages!!!!!! read more

I always find this Pet Supplies Plus to be well Stocked and well Managed as far as most of my Pet's needs are concerned and they always seem to have whatever it is I'm looking for at any given visit.    Prices are pretty decent especially when you're enrolled in the Rewards Membership Program so definitely think about becoming a member if you're not already. This is the most clean pet store I have ever been into! Not only is it extremely clean but they have a huge selection of food and treats. The self serve pet wash has been a game changer with our big dogs- no more getting our bathrooms at home messy! The staff is super friendly and helpful too. read more

We purchased a dog treat "cupcake" from the front display and we discovered it had worms as my dog bit into it. Absolutely disgusting. Now we have a sick dog who is vomiting. We will never be shopping here again and highly recommend others to avoid this location. So much for getting a special treat for our dogs birthday, what a nightmare. read more

Friendly, knowledgeable staff, far better product selection and availability (no empty shelf spaces) than local Big Box pet supply stores, great prices and numerous items on sale make this my go-to store for my fur babies. This is a great pet store. Has everything you need, and the animals they kept in the store all looked healthy and well kept. I saw fresh vegetables in the food bowls of the hamsters, which I never see in other commercial pet stores. Hamsters need a varied diet just like any other pet, and it was nice to see them treated as such. I came for cat litter, a huge heavy bag of it. Scott offered to carry it out for me, even though my car was parked pretty far away. It was a huge help and very kind of him, especially in this heat wave. I would highly recommend this store to anyone. It is clean, well-stocked, and the prices are terrific especially when you become a rewards member and receive special discounts. As far as the staff is concerned, they are all welcoming, knowledgeable, and will go out of their way to accommodate your needs. The shelves are always well stocked but if they happen to be out of a certain product, they will order it for you or get it from another store. This is truly the ultimate customer service store. To top it off, dogs are always welcome, and they have a great variety of specialty bakery cookies which are my dog's favorite! read more

We love this location. The staff members are friendly, knowledgeable and very willing to help you make a selection based on need and your budget. I don't feel pressured to go to the most expensive foods or treats but. An focus on nutrition with their help. Shout out to "Bonnie"'at the Florham Park location. Ask for her if you have questions. She is very patient and the epitome of excellent customer service. She was very attentive to me and to my pet and during our visit, other customers asked for her! Regrettably, they are phasing out their "select by the pound treats" which my pup loved but sounded like a legit reason and is going to put pet safety first. Still, too bad. They also have checked around for me for an item that was out of stock at their store at a previous visit. With so many pet online and brick-and-mortar stores to choose from, this PSP location differentiates themselves well. They also have a self service wash area which I also use. My pup and I were very sad when Pet Valu left the USA market during the pandemic. We had liked their "small store" appeal, selection, sales and self wash. Despite the size of Pet Supplies Plus, I get the same vibe and we are happy to have this location close by. read more

Love this store! The service is top notch without being intrusive/annoying. They are available for questions and provide helpful answers, but they aren't walking around asking you if they can help you with anything over and over. I have never encountered them being out of stock on anything I want to purchase. Just an overall great place to shop for your pet. read more
