They were bought by private equity a couple years back and since the prices have gone to the stratosphere. Last year's vaccination appointment was just shy of $600. Kiss my patootie, respectfully. The gag is Petco is ALSO owned by private equity but I imagine its large portfolio of stores makes cheap vaccines possible. For a neighborhood vet, it just ruins everything. ::throws phone:: I googled low cost clinics and found out that Petco does them. I needed an appointment soon so my son could go to daycare next week while I'm onsite at work. This was the only location where I could get in before next week. Been in NJ 35 years and never heard of this town. But, at $195 for ALL his shots and heartworm test without a mandatory exam (that's how the vet gets you), I embraced the hour long road trip. The setup: -Book the appointment online at the Petco website -Store is in a strip mall - vax clinic is on the left past the registers. -The providers get on the floor with your dog, talk sweetly to them, and work efficiently. Heartworm results come back in 10 minutes. Pros: -Easy booking, low stress, clear communication -Summary of services, Rx, and rabies vaccine emailed to you during the visit -You do not have to book a vet exam to be vaccinated Possible Cons: -This is a store with people and pets. If your pet is antsy you may want to book during the week rather than on a weekend to minimize distractions and anxiety. ---------- Great experience! Get the jab! We don't need billionaires! Chose Nelson and he was great. Unfortunately, he had surgery. Was unable to do his haircut so they rebooked it three times and back with Alyia. From the minute, I walked in here, came the excuses. At this point, I was very frustrated. I asked to speak with the manager. What a waste of time manager again acted like it was nothing. Once you get rescheduled three times and this is your fourth time walking in and they find every excuse I think I have the right to be a little upset . Never had a problem with Nelson. If you don't wanna waste your time getting up early or taking time out of your day for an appointment, they're going to cancel on you anyway don't come to the succasunna location Petco.

It is really about teaching us humans what to do and how to be consistent. We really appreciated Michelle's approach and learned a lot. The Flanders location is nice enough with the separate training area like most PetSmart locations have. Separately we also had the groomer trim his nails. She did a very good job. But the grooming area was pretty busy with a lot of hair on the floor. Overall, it was a very nice experience for the puppy and us.

The music blaring throughout the whole store must be pure torture to these poor animals who have to endure this all day long. This place is dirty, disgusting, and full of dead fish in the tanks, dirtier than you even want to imagine. Petco is luxury at treating their animals compared to this crap hole. Do not support this place and for the love of God, where is PETA when you need it!

I have also noticed that the store now has four stars and many five star reviews, either the owner has created multiple accounts to bring up his reviews or dirty people with dirty living situations have that find the store to be just as good as their own living situation at home. Of course, they would believe that this is a well defined store. I will leave it at that. Do the right thing, adopt these poor animals, and give them a better life, PS, definitely not the people that have left five star ratings.

I did, I needed a Seresto collar for my pup in case we ventured out into the woods to walk off some Thanksgiving day food (left ours back home by accident). He came and helped me find the collar I needed. I asked if they had the joint supplement I gave my dog (clearly missed a few things packing this weekend) and though they didn't have my specific one they were able to recommend another one that was plenty close. Great experience shopping here, the staff was helpful in finding me what I needed and prices good. I'll be back here next time I'm in town and need something for my doggie.
