Recently visited this store to purchase tropical fish. A prominently posted sign on a tank indicated that all tropical fish and plants were 40% off. The person who retrieved my fish selections confirmed the info on the sign about the 40% off and told me which tanks that applied to. I got a couple of higher priced fish from those tanks knowing that the discount would help with the cost. When I got to check out the cashier told me that discount was only for their Rewards customers .. which I am not nor wish to be. I do not have an issue with complying with store policies IF I know in advance what they are. All they had to do was put the words "for Rewards Customers" on the sign. I suspect that the store is trying to take advantage of customers who would not pay attention to what price was charged at check out. Not only is this a bad business practice, the store lost a sale and I will use one of the other pet stores in the area. And I suspect continuing this misinformation will not help you compete with PetCo or PetSmart, Which BTW are just a 15 minute drive from your location. I read some of the negative reviews before doing this one. Mr. Business Manager. Respectfully Sir, if you choose to reply, please know that I am not your "neighbor". Horrible customer service. Owner of this franchise store is rude and lazy to boot! Prices are way higher than PetSmart or PetCo. Much higher than Amazon. They sell items but don't sell the supplies needed for the upkeep of said items! We do everything g possible to support local businesses. We've been customers since they opened. Store needs better customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were selling dog food that was being discontinued for 50 percent off for dog pound only. The sign was unclear. Why would you not let customers buy for their pet to try or maybe customer has financial issues and just needed a discount that day..... Manager came and said no not allowed to buy for my dog! What an embarrassment to me and should be for the business as well!! Had to redo my purchase after waiting for the manager and waiting 20 minutes for crickets and literally no one in the store except maybe 2 customers! Also I was skipped on my order for crickets. The lady that got her crickets heard she got put ahead of me was kind and paid for my crickets!!!! At least there's some kind people left in this society unlike the Manager of this store!!! I give my dog and cat primal raw frozen nuggets. In my area, Temple, Tx, this is hard to find. This is the only store (location: Copperas Cove, TX) that will honor special orders but they never, NEVER get my orders strait. I have been fighting this for 4 months now and they still don't get it right. They take my order but apparently never enter it in the system and so they never have my order. They blame it on change in distributors and change in management but just how long are they going to use this as an excuse? I don't understand. Why can't they just enter my order in the system and get it right? How hard is that? Is this too much work for them? I think I'm done with their business. read more

Usually a good experience and my go to store.. however they did not make the fish policy clear to me. I drove an hour to come to this specific store showing photos of my dead fish within a week and they requested the bodies. It's not a huge deal more of a nice gesture to replace some cheap neon tetras for a returning customer. Sure I'll drive back home and dig for fish in the trash can. read more

The animals kept is the saddest condition I've ever seen. I'd rather drive to Killeen or Lampasas or use Amazon, I've found everything cheaper. Management very rude, the Owner is an angry little man. I'd give zero stars if I could. Remember to visit your local shelters, and rescues! These animals are kept in horrible conditions, most of the fish and critters were half dead. Cages too small, some fish have died from them handling them aggressively. Many dead fish in the tanks. Mice half dead. Imagine what happens in the back. Not enough room at all for the guinea pigs. All the reptiles look stressed. Most of the rodents are over crowed. Very inhumane. read more

It's always a nice visit to this pet store. This small town is still suffering from a lack of shopping choices thanks to the neighborhood bully, Walmart. I enjoy shopping ANYWHERE ELSE BUT Walmart when I can, and pet supplies is one where I have an option with Pet Supplies Plus. Their store is stocked full of good stuff, and there is plenty of choice from store brands to national brands for just about any type of pet you could imagine. That's a nice change from being relegated to a single aisle in WalMart or elsewhere. No, this is a PET STORE, and it shows. I like their store brand dry cat food, or rather my cat does, as well as their store brand litter which is a big savings compared to anywhere else locally. My last visit last night was actually to pick up some cat treats, so my cat will stop sweating me when I come home empty handed. She will whine continuously until I give in. Also being a member of the Preferred Pet Club is a great thing that provided additional savings as well. The store employees are also very helpful.... I experienced a tiny little young lady who insisted she carry out a large (and heavy) tub of kitty litter once, and I had to insist harder that I carry it out myself, because I think the litter might have actually weighed more than her. It's just nice to see energetic young people, with a good work ethic these days. Shoot.... Pet Supplies Plus and Chick-Fil-A must hire from the same pool of youngsters or have similar training programs... because these employees are the best. read more

I -6 out of 10 recommend Pet Supplies Plus in Copperas Cove EVER. They sold us a sick Emerald Swift, and their solution is: If it dies during the 14 day policy we'll do something about it, if not there's nothing we can do. Mind you we have other Reptiles, who are ALL HEALTHY. And the runny nose, breathing issues etc. are all signs of a Respiratory Infection which can spread. If any of my other reptiles get sick I will be taking them to court. Because I'm pretty sure it's illegal to sell sick animals in Texas. Yes we noticed it was sick on day 1, and have tried everything we possibly can to save it, but unfortunately it's going downhill fast. I'm absolutely SICKENED that their solution is it has to die before they'll help after they sold me a SICK animal. read more

May be biased since I work here but I was a customer before I was a team member so! The team works really hard to satisfy and help out customers as much as they can and anytime a customer has questions that team member can't answer, they'll call for a manager or another team member for their assistance or knowledge. PSP has large stocks of food found at larger stores and some that are hidden gems that otherwise you might not find anywhere but online! The team works hard to stock the store and make sure the store looks amazing every day, and while sometimes PSP may not have what you're looking for in stock, they're always able to try to Special Order it for you, even calling you as to if they successfully were able to order it or if they weren't, they'd then ask if you'd wish to change the order to a different food or cancel it! PSP also offers military half an hour animal washes every Sunday! (And yes almost any animal as far as I know, I've seen some cool animals get washed in there) With normally the pet wash being just $10 for the half an hour or $25 for a card with 5 washes on it, saving you half the price in the long run. And if you're one who's into reptiles, they'll check the worm cups you bring to the register for any dead ones and the cashier will also sign the cups with their initials for the customer to know they checked the cups. If a customer ever thinks something may be wrong with an animal, a manager and our animal person who checks on them every night and morning will personally check them again for your concerns to make sure they are healthy and able to be sold on the sales floor. read more

My Chihuahua is a rescue and so can be skittish; he has never had a problem with nail trims and because of this I take him in for his "manicure" every 6 weeks.
