Great location that always has what I'm looking to buy, and with seven pets that says a lot.

I shop at this location all the time for the last 10 years for all my pet needs and today I was in…read moreto get my dogs some good and treats and I had the best cashier ever for this location. Skylynn was the cashier that I had and she was so professional, friendly, courteous & right on top of things with my purchase. Was a pleasant visit I had today and she was so efficient with my order and coupons that the this was the first time in10 years that I did not have to question my receipt A big shout of to Skylynn and I sure hope the next time I go into this store she is my cashier again.

I was there today and bought 34 cans of Fancy Feast, 1 bag Purina cat food, and 1 bag Tiki dry cat…read morefood. There was a long line at the register when I got there and when it was my turn, the cashier rang up my items sooooooo fast I couldn't even see what he was doing. I thought while he was ringing up my items that he may have made a mistake with the individual cat food, but since there was a long line behind me, I decided to wait to check my receipt. I did check my receipt and sure enough, he overcharged me for 4 cans of Fancy Feast. Each can is almost $1.00. So, I went back to the store and the male cashier was gone by this time and I brought all of the cans of Fancy Feast plus my receipt to another cashier. I told her that I thought there was an error and that I had been overcharged for 4 cans. She looked at me and started comparing each and every can to the receipt, taking an infinite amount of time doing it. I told her I was in a hurry and if she could just refund me for the 4 cans I did not buy. At the bottom of the receipt was the total amount and I had counted each can before coming back to the store. Anyway, long story short (this is turning into a novel...) she was very rude to me and argumentative, telling me to be "patient" while she went through each and every can one by one. I told her I could not wait and that now I just wanted a refund for ALL the cans. She saw the long line of customers and basically said, "I'm not going to do this with you and I'll call the manager to help you." She then went to another register to help someone else and left me standing there with 34 cans of Fancy Feast. She finally called a manager (she didn't do it right away, by the way...) and when the manager came over, she did exactly the same thing--looking at the receipt and then at my cans. I said, "Why is this taking so long--now I just want a refund!" She was deliberately being slow and I could see that both of these female employees were not nice and trying to deliberately take their sweet old time NOT helping me whatsoever. I WILL NEVER, EVER GO TO THIS PETCO IN BROOKSVILLE AGAIN. This is now the 3rd incident at this store and enough is enough. :( :( :(

Brought my chihuahua here for grooming as she was definitely past due…read more Went online and made an appointment this morning for this afternoon. Only requirement was that she be up to date on her rabies shot and currently be treated for fleas and ticks. Upon entering the grooming area we were greeted by the staff. They were extremely polite. Talked with Mariana, who was going to be taking care of her. She was extremely knowledgeable in all of the services that they offered and the different things we needed. My Peanut was shaking like a leaf when I dropped her off but this young lady was very calming with her and Peanut was great. The grooming is a little pricier than some of the small grooming places but they still do an excellent job.

I went to find new collars for our dogs. It seemed like there was very few items on the shelves and…read morethe selection was very pitiful. I was not able to find colors for my dogs as they're small and I wasn't about to put them in cat collars. I checked the food and the prices seem to be a lot higher when I can order off of Amazon. I did take one of my dogs to be grounded and she ended up with some nicks and cuts and seemed to be very afraid afterwards so I never took her back for grooming. They have a few parakeets and snakes and other small creatures but everything seem to be so overpriced. I didn't think that they were very competitive with Walmart or some of the other pet care stores. And as I said, I can order the same product off of Amazon for a less expensive price and have it delivered to me free of charge. I would say PetSmart is OK if you really need something in a pinch, if they have it in stock. I was not impressed, but the cashier was nice and kept pushing for me to try to get a credit card and I kept saying no, but she tried over and over until I finally paid and left.

I don't know where to begin my review because this store is great, not only for the wide selection…read moreof food and products they carry, but because of the staff ..... they are truly exceptional human beings. The only time you're a stranger is when you're outside the door because as soon as you're through, you become part of an extended animal foodie family many of us newbies dream about. I actually encountered this establishment about a year ago when I had moved to the area and had lost one of my dogs. I was excited because of the raw options they offered for my Doberman but more importantly they quickly offered to take my poster for my lost pup. That was it. I found my pupper BUT I lost the store because I never wrote down the name or address!! Luckily I found them again about a year later and I couldn't believe it. This store is fantastic - there are so many different selections of food (kibble, freeze dried, raw), treats, products, toys, etc, etc, etc so much! Bummer they didn't have the kibble we are currently feeding - not a problem- I was lucky enough to be visiting on an order day and my bag was ordered that day and I picked it up the next. It's that easy and every staff member wants to be so helpful. On pick up, there was some confusion on the protein that was actually in stock from the warehouse BUT i waited for a couple minutes and a phone call was made and the situation was rectified immediately. In that time, I met two more regulars who told me how much they loved Happy Tails and they had been coming there for years. One even said he came from Wesley Chapel bc he loved the service, the store and the fellow customers. I believe that says a lot in itself. I bought several products including some enzymatic carpet spray that staff suggested and it worked amazing. Another product I bought to hopefully prevent some wood chewing (knock on THAT WOOD that hasn't been chewed) bc it's working. I also bought some random chews and asked for suggestions for a "power chewer" bc our subscription box toys aren't cutting it for our current foster. Staff made a wonderful suggestion for a water buffalo horn AND our beautiful foster loves it too! Thank you! Happy Tails is really a wonderful small business that i'm proud to support. They are most interested in all of us having healthy, best fed pets. They also understand the value of adding small additions to your pet's current diet to make it healthier even if you can't afford to feed what you may feel is best for your pet. You can learn SO MUCH here about feeding. They'll work with you and offer suggestions for trying new things and ways to add more of what works for each member of your pet family. While the major focus is dogs and cats, I've seen 2 different bunny families come in and HapTails has offered to order what the families fed at home. The brand that I order for home, save 5% for auto ship and have delivered for free is actually a couple dollars cheaper at HapTails .... So there is no price inflation. I cancelled my auto ship today and my brand was excited I was shopping locally. I am too because this animal foodie is in love!! Our pack says Thanks Happy Tails! PS - they will carry your kibble or any order out to your car too. I'll honk to that.

I had to raise my voice at him to show me ALL the products and then let me choose the ones I want. Then I showed him how each product lists the ingredients right on the label, but he argued with me that they are all the same! He didn't even know what he was selling. Honestly, I shouldn't not have given him my money. I spent $136 on what I wanted for my 2 cats. I am not coming back here. Re: the owner's response. Shame on you. I barely raised my tone to let that man know that he could not bully me - and then he flat out lied about the products. This is just more bad service.
