It was "love at 1st sight" with the "Pup of the Week", Winny, a 3 mo old female Havanese...(what a PERFECT name, Winnie, as in Winnie the Pooh, but on Halloween also appropriate as Winnie is one of the 3 Sanderson sisters from HocusPocus!)my husband took care of all the paperwork while I played in one of their "pens"...she was calm & playful & laid in my lap like she belonged there! We previously purchased a male maltese named Milo back in June, 2023 that is perfect in every way & weighs 7.4lbs & we were ready for him to have a playmate. They get along wonderfully & she's on a great 4 hr potty schedule, no accidents! She IS the dream pup! Feeling so Blessed to add her to our family!

Otherwise the place WAS clean and there were plenty of puppies to choose from. Today we happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to take a look again. This place is disgusting. There were only a few pups that looked like they might be sick or malnourished. The place smelled like nothing was being done to clean the cages, and the entire place was dark and uninviting, mostly because most of the lighting appeared to be burned out. The store should be closed by Polk County animal control. I feel sorry for the poor pups and for anyone who buys one, as they will probably get a very sick animal.

They then walked me through the process, what things I needed and a very low pressure sales talk. I was looking to get my pup trained as a therapy dog and signed up for the program. Initially there was a hiccup, the girl that was supposed to be my trainer came out once and then cancelled on me. BUT, the owner of the company, Vince, followed up with me and personally came out and worked with Chance and I. He was fantastic and I think both Chance and I learned more when he was working with us than ever before. Overall, we went through four total trainers, the first girl (who was promptly fired), the owner, and two other trainers. Despite the initial hiccup, I know I ended up with more sessions than I had paid for and their training comes with a lifetime guarantee. Meaning, if I notice Chance has a digging problem today, I could call them and they would come back out to work with him again. I love that they work with you in your home. I love that all of their trainers went to a serious professional school for dog training. Most of all I love that it's one on one meaning my dog will listen to me and not just the trainer. Definitely worth the investment if you want a well behaved pup. Especially because my little gentleman is invited to my office as a permanent fixture now. :)

I feel confident that their trainers could help our dog's problems. I explained that our dog was recently traumatized and is acting out, and as we're adopting a special needs baby soon I need to ensure that I can trust our dog. Cons: when the word "investment" was thrown around multiple times warning bells started ringing in my head and for good reason. A 30 session program was recommended, at the cost of $4500. That's $150 an hour. When I stated that I couldn't afford that an 8 week program was offered for $1400 ($175/hr). When I stated that I couldn't afford that either the conversation was politely, but promptly, ended. I fully believe this company would do a good job but unless you can afford a few thousand dollars out of the gate, this company isn't for you.

Just go here. It's a great concept. They have a little room set aside with shampoo, conditioner, towels, and even a high-speed dryer. There is a low and high table forcwahing and a way to secure your pet so they can't jump out. We bought some wet food made by Fromm , and I ended up buying 5 washes for 35 dollars, an amazing deal.
