When we leave for work, we have no doubts in our mind that Melissa will be there for him at his schedule time. On top of that, she always texts us when she leaves and fills us in on their play date. Melissa has even watched Jax while my husband and I went on vacation. We always vacationed easy knowing that when Jax was with Melissa he was safe and fed, and most importantly getting tons of love and playtime! Melissa called back almost immediately and we set an appointment up for her to assess the dogs, our needs, etc. Zeke, my oldest is the one I gather from on who is a good guy or someone I need to watch. He seemed fine, but it was our shy Artemis that sealed the deal!! Melissa knows dogs and is experienced at what she does. I love the texts she sends to let me know everyone is okay. They always did a great job grooming her and had little scarfs on her when we picked her up. They accept credit cards. We moved away from the area and I already miss this place.

When setting up boarding, I followed online steps to generate an estimate only to be told by automation that they didn't give estimates. Prepare for things like that to just happen. Good luck getting them to answer the phone. I tried putting my dog in daycare for a couple days so she could feel the place out before her stay and I kept getting brick-walled. They never, within 45 days, had an opening. I was told they were getting such a demand that they have to turn away regulars. When you set up a profile, you fill in important info about this and that. It's mostly easy. I did so, preparing for a getaway about a month and a half later. My puppy Angel wasn't spayed at the time. By the check-in date, she was spayed. I took her to the facility, signed her up, provided a bag of food I bought, and went on my trip. The website says they'll send you pics of your dog in activity. Two days into my vacation, no pics. I called, no answer, so I left a message. I was eventually texted back with them saying I hadn't signed up for it. Okay, my fault. Keep in mind, you have to sign up for this. Then I found out she wasn't playing with the other dogs because they had assumed she wasn't spayed. Again, I had no idea about this, but you have to take it upon yourself to update ALL information in the profile, as the staff operate off that. So...after finally getting someone on the phone, I had the profile updated and Angel was clear to play with other dogs. The pics they sent me were 4 blurry, hastily taken photos of Angel and another dog in the lobby. Nothing of her taking action in the play area or anything. And no photos of her playing the next day. While the woman who contacted me was great and literally went above and beyond in trying to please, the results weren't satisfactory. It's a good place - don't get me wrong. But they tell you almost nothing, the website features seem neglected, the pics weren't good and communication is tough to come by. A.

I contacted Alex w/Oak City & they were able to get our pets in even with pretty short notice. Oak City came to our home each day we were gone to feed & water our boys as well as scoop litter & administer meds to one of them. They also took a pic of them everyday and texted it to me. I 100% looked forward to getting that pic everyday. They were really nice and easy to work with. We're definitely going to use them again next time we go on vacation. Two thumbs (and two paws) up!

Pet owners be aware. We have always took our pets to…read moreClayton Animal Hospital and well that's probably going to change. Took my dog up there on 27th of August for cherry eye surgery and to get spayed. $1000s of dollars later and multiple vet bills bc my dog got really sick from meds and had to be hooked to IV's. 2 weeks after final eye check up cherry eye is back out. They tell us that they could do surgery again for discounted rate. Something wasn't done right bc no way if it was stitched properly it would last less than a month. They did say it probably will never come back out but could when she gets older and here i am $1000s of dollar spent and have the same looking dog with huge cherry eye after spending money on surgery, diarrhea meds, probiotics, eye creams, cones, changing her foods bc her stomach was so sensitive afterwards... I'm beyond frustrated and the lack of accountability from Clayton Animal Hospital is just astounding. Fix what you didn't do right is all I'm asking... Side note: 2 weeks after surgery we started seeing the white stitching string. The vet said this is normal. Now I don't think it is bc I think the stitching was coming out. Side note: their staff is great and pleasant to deal with and I love all of them and I hope we can come to resolution and I can update later that they did the right thing
