    Gator

When our dog Gator passed away last year Pet Passages made accommodations for us on very short notice and our lovely boy was given a funeral he truly deserved. This is the place for dignified caring services for your pet.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this place. We lost our dog traumatically in July 4th and with her being our first loss I had a lot of concerns. We came from Illinois and there was a town that was not properly cremating animals and people weren't getting their pets back. I spoke with Candice and she was amazing. She relieved my fears and gave me so much detail about what they do and answered all my questions for each step. It made this entire experience so much less painful and stressful than it could have been. I unfortunately have two other aging dogs but I'm glad to know this place exists when the time comes for them to cross the rainbow bridge.

They were a pleasure to deal with!!! Very compassionate! A much better option than sending your fur baby to Greenbrier!

Dr. Eginton is a talented surgeon and a very kind person. She set clear expectations pre-surgery about the risks/recovery period & was quick to respond when I had post-op questions/concerns. She went over all the discharge instructions line by line and even took the time (after a long day) to walk Lucy out & provide guidance how to safely lift her into my SUV. Lucy's incision has since healed (she initially wore a cone and then surgical recovery suit 14 days), her skin color has normalized, and appetite returned. She's a happy girl! They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and made sure my fur baby was comfortable throughout his visit. I've read reviews on this facility. In my opinion, the negatives don't add up. First of all, nothing is charged until you sign off on the services agreed upon. There is no surprise billing. Second, it's an emergency hospital, and yes, everyone feels their animal's illness is an emergency, which is why they come to the hospital. What they need to understand, like any ER/ED, the most crucial gets seen first. Keep up the good work :)

Deciding to switch to Aloha was one of the best decisions I've made. Every visit has been a great experience. The front desk staff and veterinary nurses are always welcoming, kind, and professional. Dr. Pepen is an exceptional veterinarian. He takes the time to explain everything thoroughly, answers all of our questions and concerns, and discusses every treatment option so we can make informed decisions. Most importantly, I truly feel that Dr. Pepen genuinely cares about my pet's well-being. That level of compassion and dedication is hard to find, and it gives me complete confidence in trusting him with my pets' care. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this office and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinary team that truly puts animals first.

I went for an appointment at 4:30 PM. The only reason I chose aloha over the Emergency Vet on EAU…read moreGALLIE is because aloha could offer me a set appointment and my cat was in a lot of pain so I didn't want her to have to sit in the waiting room scared. 2 1/2 hours later I was still not seen and had to create a fuss to get seen. The weight at the other clinic was one hour. My cat had an abscess near her tail and was in a ton of pain. Dr. Smith glanced at the abscess for maybe two seconds and said the abscess had already started draining on its own so therefore it didn't need to be lanced nor cleaned. She did not bother to clean the wound or anything. She sent me home with pain meds and antibiotics. Well, the next day my cats wound was much worse than it was before I brought her in there and at that point, it really did start to drain. My poor baby was dripping disgusting foul smelling pus and blood all over my house and she could barely stand because she was in so much pain. I called the Emergency Vet on EAU GALLIE and they were more helpful than Aloha staff. They recommended cleaning the area. I cleaned the wound myself with a mix of saline solution and betadine, which the doctor at Aloha advised me not to do, and after that my cat was much more comfortable because her wound was actually flushed out. I am not a medical professional, but luckily a lot of people in my family are and they advised me to clean the wound unlike Aloha. I am a local and based upon friends and neighbors and family members that have gone there in the past four or five years, this place has massively gone downhill. They can't decide if they are an emergency vet or a regular vet and you really can't be both. Their veterinary care is subpar and there's no way I would ever take my animal here ever again. Once I brought my cat for stomach issues and they wanted to do a colonoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, and a biopsy all in the same visit. I went to the other Dr. Smith who is an internal medicine specialist at the Rockledge Emergency Vet and he said he would not do anything more than an ultrasound and food trials before he had more information. This hospital is so extra and they charge you for things you don't need and the vets don't have the knowledge that they should. It sucks because I adopted one of my cats from aloha and he's a great kitty, but I am not comfortable trusting them with my animals. Never again.

I had no prior interactions here, & no reason to think my beloved dogs ashes would be treated with anything less then the care one would expect shown to all sent to be returned in the last memories of any furry loved one. I do not know to date what exactly transpired there, only that after a month passed? I inquired through my Vet office as the service was chosen by the office & thought perhaps something had gone wrong. When the Vet office contacted this cremation office? They were told that my dogs name had been of an issue in spelling?? Causing the effective hold up on returning my dogs ashes for pickup to bring him home the only way possible now. Strange to my thoughts as a simple call would have quickly resolved any spelling issues encountered correct? My dogs name is certainly not one of extensive reasearch needed to provide spelling as Axel does not seem to me as a name needing investigational tutelage, but I rationalized perhaps that was a time of exceptional volume of need within the animal cremation profession & decided to wait patiently, so I did not inquire again until another few weeks passed. Sadly, a friend also lost their dog around the same date as Axel? So when he relaid to me he received ashes back in days, not weeks or well over a month as mine were taking, I did become concerned. The misspelling or uncertain of spelling should not have caused the amount of time now passed, it did not then nor now make any sense to myself or others. Again another call was placed to my Vets office and bless them, they were so helpful. After calls were made the ashes finally arrived at the Vet office & available for pickup two (2) days after. The length of time taken over the spelling of my dogs name should not have required well over a month to possibly several in resolve. A five minute phone call would have supplied any information related to spelling correctly a four letter name. Their services are not inexpensive, not in the least. But when you place trust in the handling with the remains of a lived one? You expect a certain level of security in providing the correct remains to the correct person. I however feel in question of exactly that. I have no confidence that what I was provided is indeed my dog. Why would this misspell continue with the return of all? Please see the pictures attached for verification in the continued issue that was the supposed rectified problem holding up this process. So if the issue was never resolved? How do I have assurance in the remains being mine? No, the lack of honest communication between this cremation service & basically the non caring that was provided in returning all without explanation as to why the misspelling was never corrected on ANY of the keepsakes provided, not the certificate of cremation nor was MY last name included as I was the owner of record and as I see it? I paid for a litany of errors & non corrected process. I do not feel secure that what I was given is actual what claimed. I am certain anyone that would go through the seres of misinformation provided would feel as insecure in the remains. Please view attached below. My dogs name is Axel, not any records show *Axle" in his fifteen years. I strongly suggest that if you are in need of your pets cremation services you research & locate a more stable & forthright business then Best Friends Cremation. I would hate for anyone to feel the questions posed from this lack of proper procedures. Trust me, you do not want questions in the last interaction your beloved pet will have.

Because it was so sudden I hadn't researched crematoriums or other options. The vet, who was terrific, said my love would go to a local crematory of which he thought highly. Over the weekend I read the reviews and was horrified by other pet owners' stories - mix-ups of their pets with others, communal cremations (dogs, cats, birds - you get a little bit of all of them), and disrespectful treatment of their loved ones, among other situations. (I've since hear further horror stories.) Thanks to the power of the internet I found Pine Castle Pet Cremation. I called on Saturday, not really expecting an answer - and almost immediately was speaking with the owner, Terry. I immediately felt reassured that this was where my girl should be. Because of the weekend and my vet's office being closed, nothing had happened to my sweetie. When the office opened Monday morning I was there to pick her up and take her to Terry's location. As kind and gentle in person as he was on the phone, he explained the process - offering as little or as much detail as I wanted. Totally dignified from when I arrived until I left a few hours later with my girl. She's home, and I know it's her, and I can rest easy. Losing someone special is incredibly painful. Dealing with the aftermath should be. Fortunately for me, Terry at Pine Castle Pet Cremation facilitated a peaceful resolution compared with what might have been. He had severe bronchitis ( hacking type cough, sneezing, runny nose) and with proper x-rays, and medications he has been doing great. I'm thankful to this vet and Central Brevard clinic in Melbourne Florida because my prior vet didn't get rid of his symptoms on the first visit. I believe this vet is reasonably priced when you compare it to other vets, but that shouldn't be your only concern when it comes to your animal. You have to understand that the vet is always going to be a bit pricey. That's just part of the deal, so remember that when you vote, elections have consequences. I rather help animals and American citizens than illegal or "LEGAL" aliens with hb-1 visa, or any type of visa. America has plenty of its own problems as it is, imho... In the meantime, I'm going to do my best to keep animals out of the pound, and feed hungry American citizens. It's already expensive enough, inflation and taxes and to feed my 4 cats and cat litter, toys, Etc.. so FEED your pet healthy food, not cheap crap, and give them plenty of love, attention and exercise, because that will mean LESS vet visits down the road. I've been around pets all my life and if you feed them well and spoil them, usually the less problems they'll give you medically. I have 4 cats now, I try to do my part and keep as many out of the pound as I can. Dogs and cats are awesome. All animals are awesome. They are important to my mental support. I highly recommend this vet and his staff. So far, so good. Professionals.
