Urn - small metal with paw print
Steven H.

I appreciate the care that Orlando Pet Crematory took to ensure that the process was as easy and stress free as possible. This is never a service that anyone wants to use, but its an unfortunate event that occurs. Our pet Abby was 20 years and 4 months old when she passed, while we understood it was coming, it is never easy. We had located and researched our options a few months prior when our girl had her first seizure and started to noticeably decline. Many of the other caring options out there are mostly focused on euthanasia in-home or otherwise, but most of them do not provide an easy path for cremation in the case of a natural death. We wanted to leave that option available as our Abby was not suffering - she had just slowed down severely. In the end, our instincts were right - Abby was able to pass peacefully without suffering with us by her side. The website for Orlando Pet Crematory is very clear - it provides pricing for cremation, for removal, and It even provided providing on any urns or other memorabilia that they offer. The form was on their web site that needed to be filled out so you could do so in advance if you like, otherwise they brought one with them. At the top of their website they post a 24 hour contact # so that you don;t have to search - super helpful at a stressful time! It was 9:18 on a Thursday night when our Abby passed and we called the 24 hour # shortly after. I received a voice mail that I wasn't sure if I called the right place, so I hung up to try again. Before I could dial again, I received a call back from them. A gentleman named Eddie called and I told him that Abby had just passed, he asked a few questions, provided me the pricing so that I was fully in formed and then indicated that he should be at our home in Oviedo within the hour. Eddie spoke with compassion, it is clear that he was sensitive to folks and their grieving; even as he provided the information he did so in a way that was informative, but not overbearing. Within the hour, Eddie arrived and we showed home where Abby had passed, he explained to us what he was going to do to revive her, then he went out to his van to get a pet bed. As he picked her up, he was sure to do it carefully to transfer her body; she was notably stiffening, but he was sure to put his arms under her to cradle her out of her bend and into his bed to transfer her. Our options for payment were cash/check on the spot OR I could call the following morning to pay by Credit Card - which I did. At the time I called, they found her papers, took payment and I squared away the urn we wanted. On the phone, they were very clear on what the process would be which made everything very comforting and easy. I also paid a small additional charge to have her remains and urn returned so that I did not have to pick them up. I was informed approximately when the cremation would likely occur (that afternoon) and that after at least one business day they could return the remains (in this case Monday or Tuesday) On Monday I received a call from Eddie and he made arrangements to return out pet's remains. He carefully brought the remains, which included a final paw print from her and a clipping of her fur. In all, I am appreciative to how compassionate that folks were at the Orlando Pet Crematory and it was clear that they work to make the process as stress-free as it could be.

MacGregor ("Mac") July 1, 1996 - May 8, 2013

This review is re services provided on May 8, 2013. It has taken me awhile to write this review because I can hardly see the keyboard as every time I try to talk about my baby boy, uncontrollable tears flood my face. It has been nearly 5 years, and I am crying as I type this, so I will try to be pithy. When I called Orlando Pet Cremator on the day my Mac died, he was still with me, but I knew it was the end. I wanted to "take care of the details" before he passed bc I knew I wouldn't be able to be at all coherent after. Still, I was crying pretty hard when I spoke with Jeanine. She was so very kind and empathetic, and she spoke very delicately with me about the process and what I would need to do if he did pass away. She ended the call by saying, "I hope that I don't hear back from you today because I can tell how very much you love Mac, but if I do, I will keep it quick, and I will take care of everything for you." She was true to her word. Once he passed, I made the quick call to let her know, and she conveyed her sincere sympathy and assured me it would all be handled with care and respect. And it was. I was not able to go get his remains from OPC, so my brother took care of that part for me. He said that the people he encountered there were kind and thoughtful (my brother loved my dog almost as much as I did, so I know it was hard for him too). When I was able to bring myself to open the envelope many moons later, the letter stated that they made sure the contents of the urn were 100% my boy, and that they handled him with utmost care and respect. It meant so much to me to know this. The memorial to my beloved furry soulmate is now front and center on my mantle, and it is comforting to know that I will always have him with me. Thank you so much for your kindness, consideration, professionalism, and empathy. It means so much more than I could communicate (photo attached to this review is his puppy picture that now adorns the gorgeous cherry wood urn I selected from OPC).

While on vacation our family received a message that our little doggie Princess Puff passed away. The pet sitter said she died peacefully in her sleep. She lived a full doggie life. RIP Princess Puff September 11, 2002- January 15, 2016. We contacted Orlando Per Crematory which was polite, professional & carrying. They prepared her within the time stated & called when she was ready. We purchased a nice urn which was provided. The process was seamless & convenient. Excellent service!!! I highly recommend this company.

They are the most caring group for your pet cremation. I have used them a total of 6 times and I'm very impressed. Best in the area.

Last week I said good-bye to my dear friend of 14 years. She'd been ill for the last 10 months, but…read moreher rapid decline in only a couple of days was shocking. Because it was so sudden I hadn't researched crematoriums or other options. The vet, who was terrific, said my love would go to a local crematory of which he thought highly. Over the weekend I read the reviews and was horrified by other pet owners' stories - mix-ups of their pets with others, communal cremations (dogs, cats, birds - you get a little bit of all of them), and disrespectful treatment of their loved ones, among other situations. (I've since hear further horror stories.) Thanks to the power of the internet I found Pine Castle Pet Cremation. I called on Saturday, not really expecting an answer - and almost immediately was speaking with the owner, Terry. I immediately felt reassured that this was where my girl should be. Because of the weekend and my vet's office being closed, nothing had happened to my sweetie. When the office opened Monday morning I was there to pick her up and take her to Terry's location. As kind and gentle in person as he was on the phone, he explained the process - offering as little or as much detail as I wanted. Totally dignified from when I arrived until I left a few hours later with my girl. She's home, and I know it's her, and I can rest easy. Losing someone special is incredibly painful. Dealing with the aftermath should be. Fortunately for me, Terry at Pine Castle Pet Cremation facilitated a peaceful resolution compared with what might have been. Thanks so very much for your kindness.

His studio is in an inconspicuous industrial park. Parking was easy. His office isn't full of frills because Wayne himself is the real deal. He greeted us immediately & escorted us to a back private room to say our final goodbyes to our cat's furry form. The checkout process & selection of services was so easy & Wayne was so patient. He constantly wanted to make sure we were comfortable with the process & our choices. He called us a week later & we were able to coordinate a time to pick up. We were running 30 minutes late & he was so nice & understanding. We purchased our own urn, but he had options to purchase there if you wish. He offered to transfer the remains in the back in case we were uncomfortable. We opted to do it with him & the remains had a sweet tag that Wayne said was on our baby during the entire process. I work within the animal community in Central Florida & I've since recommended his services to anyone who has lost a furry friend!

I brought my cat here because of the reviews and felt like my wishes were heard and understood…read moreuntil I picked up his remains and was disappointed in what I was given. During the interview process, I requested some of my cats fur. This was the most important thing to me. I was willing to give a little baggy for it but I was presented with a vile that would be used for fur collection. My daughter and I made it clear that we wanted as much fur as he could get in the vile. I was given back a pinch of fur that covered a 1/4 of the vile. While driving home, I had to pull over on the side of the road for two hours because I was crying while explaining to my daughter how much he gave me of my cats fur. When my daughter reached out to ask why no more fur was given he was very defensive and told her that he wasn't given specific instruction on how much fur to get. I also requested a nose and paw print, which turned out awful. He upgraded the box that the remains came in most likely out of guilt because he did not give me other things I asked for. In the end he just packed up my cat and all the disappointment I paid for in a bag and sent me on my way.
