We were worried about how things would go for a first experience, especially with his size, but Adria and her team did a great job handling him. They took extra time to ensure they were introduced, which wasn't a problem with endlessly loving Gus. They then got him comfortable hooked up for nails, which was a challenge that they overcame after a bit of maneuvering. They successfully got his nails trimmed and introduced him to bath stuff ahead of schedule, to which he did great! We were impressed with her adaptability and determination with a positive attitude when handling such a big baby boy. She got us in for a bath at a time that worked for us after work which was great, and only a week out! There's a reason all the locals recommend her, definitely big dog approved!

Without a long litany of questions or wait, "Tank" and I got in to see her right away. A week later, on our way home, Tank needed an additional medication, one we rarely use, nor one she stocks, but we had left at home. Since we were from out-of-town, and therefore not a likely return customer, she could have easily blown us off. Instead, she took the time to look-up Vets to find one who did stock it on our route home. She found one in Alanson, MI and called ahead so they would be expecting us. While we were waiting, she casually diagnosed a problem that our current Vet (4 Yelps average) had been advising we ignore. We changed Vets when we returned home. The issue was surgically addressed, and it turned out to be pre-cancerous, at best (scary.) Yes, she has cats, but so do we. Tank is a relaxed "Old Soul," and when a large cat come marching up and soft-pawed him on the nose, his expression appeared to be, "Yeah? Don't worry about it. I'll be out of here in a little while, and you can go back to being King of your Catdom!" I thought it was funny. After 25 years in the military, stationed literally all over the world, we've taken cats and dogs to rabbits and tropical fish to both military and civilian Veterinarian. As the seasons changed and got significantly colder, we knew we were going to be needing gloves. My boyfriend found a pair of Carhartt gloves that fit him perfectly and were affordable for the quality, though I had less luck finding women's gloves that weren't fashion-forward, but durable and warm. When checking out, the cashier was very friendly and helpful in answering our questions about the gloves and if they would be having anymore coming in stock for me to purchase, which they did not. The people that work at the store pool their money and buy animals at the state fair and share the meat. The keep ribbons from the animals they've purchased through the years behind the register.
