I recently took my new Maltese, Ziggy, to be groomed. His owner had recently passed, and I took Ziggy and his sister, Zuzu. Ziggy was a matted mess, and I asked for him to be shaved so we could start growing out a healthy coat. They did an excellent job, and he didn't seem at all traumatize. I had been worried because he is 7, and his entire world had recently been shattered. He was handled with kid gloves. I couldn't be happier with their services, and their prices - very reasonable. Our doggie Gino has been coming here off and on for about 2 months. We are extremely pleased with the staff and extremely happy & satisfied with Christina who is part of the management team. Christina has addressed all questions & concerns when it comes to Gino from informing us about his daily routine and how he is doing with the other dogs since he is new to coming to day camp. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty by even sending picture text with how Gino is doing to ease my mind. Gino will be boarding soon for a week and knowing that he is with staff who care makes me worry less. I don't usually write reviews but felt I had to this time. I had been boarding my small dog here for a couple years and had no problems, but as of the past 3 or 4 months things have gone downhill. On one occasion, my dog came home sick and on another the staff didn't give her all the food that I provided. The front person said she would have someone check on this and call me back. Noone ever did. On this latest incident, I had already made a reservation for the weekend and received a call stating that they were going to charge me a $100 deposit. The guy said that it was because of the 4th of July holiday. Well, the 4th was on Tuesday and I was boarding by dog three days later on Friday. I voiced my concern on this to this guy but he didn't seem to care. This place has gotten expensive! I will take my business elsewhere and hope this review helps others when choosing a doggie day care. read more

My 16 week old pug puppy went to Day Camp for Pet Paradise's Get Acquainted day. That makes trying this out a no brainer. I like the ability to view your dog on web cam. My puppy also wanted the spa treatment so she was pristine and smelling really good when I picked her up. We'll be back. Everyone was very professional and they even followed up on us the day after to make sure we were well and satisfied. I appreciate that. "Maddy" also got a holiday ornament with her photo in a stocking with treats and bandanas. She doesn't know about this yet. I'm so disappointed to write a negative review- I made an appointment for grooming here after moving to the area. I made the appointment online and received multiple confirmations via email and text. When I arrived, they informed me that the system messed up and they were completely full. I asked about other options, a smaller package, ANYTHING- my dog has been hit by a car and just got his cone and muzzle removed. I was frustrated but trying to make it work. No. Nothing. And moreover, she made it sound like I did something wrong- the system never does that. I don't know why it did. No way I can do anything. She was so unbelievably rude and unkind - and unfortunately, that was my first experience with them. As I walked out the door, she sarcastically told me to have a nice day. I then sent a message to the company to provide an opportunity to respond prior to writing a negative review. I've waited well beyond their stated 48 hours and no response. We were so excited to go on our first family trip. I'm always anxious leaving our pets but only because they don't understand what's going on when we board them. I've always believed they would be safe at least. That is, until we got a call mid trip that Kiko, our 13 year old dog had an accident. The story we were told was that two dogs were playing and sandwiched Kiko breaking his ankle in two places. Kiko is an old dog. He doesn't play at the kennel, he prefers to hang out with his handlers and he should not have been around two other dogs rough-housing. After monitoring Kiko they decided to take him to an emergency vet and his ankle is now broken in two places. They returned him to Pet Paradise. When we arrived to pick him up it was....here is your dog with a broken leg. They were very nonchalant and sent me without any medication, instructions, or discharge papers. I had to go back in and ask for them as well as when the Medicines were given. They told us the medicine was given at 7:30 am and that he was due again now so when we got home I gave him his medication. When my husband talked to the manager the next day she said it was given at 5 pm which means he was double dosed. I had to call the emergency vet to make sure he was ok. I know accidents happen and we deal with human error all day long but This is a company that is supposed to love animals. Instead , when talking to the regional manager Rachael Humphrey. She curtly replied "why should I have to pay you" and when first hearing about the incident told the Rio Rancho manager if I wanted to sue I would have to come to Florida. She never once asked how Kiko was doing or that she was sorry for the incident. I had never even talked about suing but I am guessing this is nothing new to them. This company is run by an investment group, the Crane Group so although the lower level managers agreed they should pay the bill and there are plenty of employees I'm sure love animals the farther you get up the chain the colder and more corporate and calculated they become. This is a warning that when this happens to your dog this is what you will get. It is disturbing the lack of empathy this company shows its clients. Even though Kiko is 13 he still has life in him and now he has a long recovery ahead of him. Please help spread the word about Kiko's experience at Pet Paradise. more training and empathy need to be taken and chose a different boarding facility that actually understands that dogs are our family members not just a business transaction run by an investment company they can brush off the liability for. I was also told Kiko's medical bills would be given to the "director of operations" but when I have reached out to get an update on yes or a no, they have chosen to pretend it never happened. read more

I have previously taken my dog to another groomer, and needed to try something new, and I regret comIng here. My dog had her appointment at 11am, and was told she'd be ready after an hour and a half, which was a lie. I was not able to pick her up until 3:30, which I found out over the phone when I checked on the progress. And when I was on the phone, I told the girl I spoke to that "I didn't expect it to take that long", and she didn't seem to care. When I was able to pick her up, they didn't do half of the things I wanted done. And on top of that, though very cute, they tied bows in her hair on her ears with rubber bands, which made my dog cry and yelp when I took them out. Granted, I should have asked them what the haircut entails and how long it takes, but they knew I was a new customer with my dog, and informed me on what's happened. I wanna look on the brighter side and think that she was able to play, but she came home scared and didn't want to be near my other dog and my family. Im never coming here again. read more

They do not pick up the phone during work hours, send invoices you can't pay on-line (because their website doesn't work), and do not return voicemail calls. Recently used Pet Paradise in Rio Rancho 8/16-17-18 2021. I had to leave out of town for a funeral so had to board my Rotti for a couple of days. I checked out a couple of places near my home before I left her. Although, Pet Paradise was a little further from my home I chose to leave her here. The facility is nice and clean, (important) lots of space in the yards. Another plus was that they have camera access, so you can see your baby having fun or not. (extra important) I was able to watch Luna interact on her first time in the yard with the other dogs I noticed she didn't want to play, instead she stayed in a corner. Then watched the young lady who was watching them in the yard try to coax her over to play, in which she refused, so she walked over to Luna put a leash on her and reassured her that she was okay. After a few minutes on the leash she began to interact and felt comfortable she removed the leash and wasn't in the corner anymore. After that, I noticed that each time she went out in the yard she was having a blast playing! I felt reassured that Luna was going to have a great time! I only wish I knew who the young lady was because she honestly went the extra mile with Luna! All I can say is, If all your employees are this way it absolutely makes a difference!!! I visited Per Paradise before I left my doggie there and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I dropped Leo off a week or so later and called later that afternoon to check on him. Pet Paradise called me right back and gave me a check up for how he was doing in his first day. They followed up with me for other days and told me how he was doing better, beginning to play, and become more active. When I went to pick up Leo he was happy to see me but he wasn't anxious or scared like when I picked him up from another pet boarding. Since being home Leo is no longer scared to climb stairs and loves playing in puddles of water. I will be back for the future boarding of Leo. Thank you! read more

We've taken our two dogs here for years without any issues, however on our last two visits within the past five months our dogs have come home with with pretty bad kennel cough. When questioned about it, the staff denies any knowledge of outbreak in their facility. If they were aware of it, they definitely were not forthcoming or transparent. Not sure what's going there but it definitely seems the place has gone down hill recently and we will have to find other options for our pets when we go out of town. Note, the grooming services here are still great even though the boarding services are now substandard. Too bad because this place was great. read more

Update 10/2019 We've been coming to pet paradise for approximately two years now. They do a really great job keeping our pups happy and safe. The standard boarding rate includes three hours of playtime. They match your dog to others with a similar energy level. Our dogs are still young and full of energy, so it makes me much more comfortable to know that they are getting a chance to play to their hearts' delight! You know it's a good boarding experience when you dogs sleep the whole day after they get home!!!! ;) I've used pet paradise for multiple boarding visits and I've been extremely happy. Our two dogs always seem tired and content at pickup and they're happy w tails wagging when we arrive to checkin! My sister and I have taken our pets to Pet Paradise since they opened and I have left reviews loving our groomers, especially Ashley Waldron. Unfortunately, Ashley left and we were given an appointment with their new groomer, Michelle. When we brought our 10 month Miniature Schnauzer in he had been given a dog sedative by his vet because this was only his 3rd grooming. Two very large dogs came in barking and quite a few people were in the check-in area. Our dog was scared and Michelle said he was rearing back and probably couldn't be groomed. She said the vet had given him the wrong medication and he could have a heart attack from it and that he'd probably have to go to the vet and be completely knocked out and get shaved there. She said she could try but she had to protect herself from being bit even though he never once tried to bite her. By the time the check-in area had cleared out he was quietly lying down next to me while she was talking. She was not caring or pleasant person at all and there was no way we wanted to leave him with her. She didn't seem to care at all that we were leaving and would not return to Pet Paradise. I worked there when it was was enchantment pet resort. We recently brought our dog to Pet Paradise for a weekend visit. After picking him up we noticed a medium/large bite on his forehead and puncture wound on his neck. When we called (call center) to bring it to their attention the "supervisor" initially tried to blame us for waiting a few days to bring to their attention. After I corrected her she changed her tune. She said she would have the manager call me and talk to me about the incident. My intent was to bring it to their attention and let owners know if incidents arise. It has been 3 days and I have not received a call from anyone! We used to love taking our dogs here but since July/Aug the staff/ambiance is not what it was, even our dogs started acting up during their last visit. Unfortunately we will no longer be taking them there. They have cancelled or requested we reschedule on us last minute multiple times since August. We have not been able to get our dogs groomed because of this. Had they been up front and just not taken our appt's then my dogs would be happily groomed by now. Todays cancellation at 8:46am for a 9am appt was the last straw. I left work in ABQ to go drop them off and they cancelled yet again. They don't take our time into consideration or keep accurate records on how many times they've done this to multiple customers. We really liked this place. It was clean and All the employees were very friendly! We took advantage of their get acquainted free play day. They took us on a tour of the building, pools, grooming, boarding, and grassy play yards. All very inviting! When we came back to pick up our dog he was tired and his report card said he got along with the other dogs. We would definitely bring our dog back for another play day or even consider boarding, but unfortunately their location in Rio Rancho was a 30 minute drive both ways for us. read more

I was a little nervous bringing my dogs here as I have never been to Albuquerque before and my options seemed very limited for a highly rated dog facility when I did my search. My dogs were only here for a night but I was happy with this facility! They offered me half off since it was my first night and the staff was very friendly. I love the pool feature, my dogs did not partake in pool activities but it is such a great activity for the dogs there! Just collected my 3 dogs from their first stay at Pet Paradise. I think the place is great. It's a really clean, beautiful facility. We watched our dogs playing outdoors through the cameras, they called us whenever there were any questions, and they connected us to the person who actually works in their area of the kennel when we called for updates. We paid extra to have them bathed before we picked them up, so they were clean and fluffy to go home. Perfect! There was nothing not to like. We haven't lived in the state that long. It's comforting to know we've got an excellent place to board our beloved dogs when we need to. Peace of mind is priceless! read more

Today nalas 1st time here... everyone was extremely nice.... However I was told that the pedicure was $10 but was charged 14.99$... ok fine. Then I was told I could watch her on online camera and When I went to check it out I had to pay a $1.99 for 1 month. So I paid and when I went to watch her on the camera app I could see nothing. One camera was black and plank and the others were the same picture all... No picture of my dog plane or how she was doing very unnerving. I would love to take her back but not sure because of not being able to see her play and how she is doing. Our dogs have made up their mind and the only place they want to vacation while mom and dad go out of town is at Pet Paradise. We road trip a lot with our 3 big dogs and have tried other facilities that just don't even compare. We actually drove 900 miles overnight once to be able to board our dogs at Pet Paradise and just flew out from Albuquerque. They were so happy to see they were back at their favorite place they jumped out of the car and ran straight for the front door. They love having the pool, getting cuddles from their human best friends, and getting to play with other dogs. We love that they are constantly supervised and have the time of their life while staying here. The staff is so friendly and we trust them whole heartedly with our dogs. We have very picky pooches who can be a bit snooty when it comes to dog camp and they have give two paws each of approval! read more

We were traveling from El Paso to Albuquerque to visit family. We needed a place to board our Puppy who is really anxious and new to boarding so we were very happy and excited to find Pet Paradise really close to our hotel. They were so accommodating and sweet to our little guy. I called for updates daily even twice a day sometimes and they were always welcoming and very friendly! We are new to town and called 28 June, 2022 and left a message because no one answered. We called 29 June, 2022 from the parking lot and no one answered, so we went it to find SIX people standing there. When we told them we just called, the response was, "yeah, we don't answer the phone." Excuse me, WHAT? We asked about boarding and had to tell them TWICE what kind of dog we had. Then they said she needed a temperament test (which is no issue and we have 2 references from other places) but couldn't tell us a time to drop her off. Wait, there's more, we were told it was $40 for a night, "oh, and $5 for the summer spike." So, $45? "No, $55." You just said $45? "I meant $55!' Guess who will NEVER have our dog?
