Love love love this place for cat grooming and nail trims. The owner is so kind and friendly and you can tell they truly love what they do. The grooming process is very thorough with brushing, washing and drying his fur and tending to his undercoat while still being efficient so the animal isn't stressed for longer than they need to be. If I could give zero stars, I would. This was my second awful experience here, and it will absolutely be my last. Twice now, I've brought my dog in for a schnauzer cut, and both times they've shaved him completely instead. Instead of taking the time and care to properly groom him, they take the easy way out and claim his coat is "too tangled." That's not grooming--that's laziness. What makes this worse is today's appointment. I had a 10:30am slot, and at 10:20 they called to say they had overbooked and couldn't take me--after instructing me to medicate my dog with comfort meds to help him through grooming. Because of their mistake, he spent nearly 12 hours sedated for no reason at all. That's not just unprofessional--it's harmful. When I finally picked him up, he was shaved down once again, and I was charged $95 for a service I never asked for. This business does not respect pets, their health, or their owners' time. Please don't put your animal through what mine endured. Go somewhere that truly cares. read more

His name is Butters and we had a horrible experience at a previous groomer and I was a little scared to bring Butters to a new groomer. Cesar and his team go ABOVE and beyond for my fur baby. I can tell they treat him so well. They work so quick and efficiently and are always so happy which is a great sign for me :). I would never take Butters to any other groomer again. We love our guy's haircut! He was 2 months post surgery and was getting very shaggy. We also like him to have a shorter coat for the summer We were able to make an appointment 2 days out which was great. And he looks like a little teddy bear! We have been taking our dogs to pet palace for a couple months now and we have been satisfied every time. The prices are fair for the quality we get. My Aussie has long, curly, luscious fur and it picks everything up. Every time we pick up our dogs, they are soooooo SOFT and our Aussie looks gorgeous. They blow out his hair so perfectly, we love it! Our lab has shorter hair but you can tell how clean he looks because his fur just shines. Both of their furs stay smelling clean for at least a week, depending on the activities they do. The owners are so nice as well, I truly feel comfortable leaving my dogs to get groomed by pet palace. I'be been bringing my lil guys here for the past 3 years to get their nail trim, anal glands expression, and ears cleaning and thus far have always been happy with their services, so no complains here. They have always given me feedback when somethings been different than normal, really appreciate that, and always been polite. My feedback would be that "personally" I wish that they kept electronic files w/ info for my visits (I think they only keep it for grooming but not sure) so I could be reminded of how much time frame has gone by since the last visit. Nothing negative on them, just a suggestion, because it is really my responsibility to keep track of that. And maybe a little extra nail filing on the bigger one. Javier and Cesar have always been accommodating to us just walking in and providing services we needed. I recently moved to the area and picked this place due to the reviews. While they were friendly and accommodating, getting my dog in same day. However, My dog came back with blood coming out of his face, on both sides he has 2 to 3 inch cuts and the hair around his face is obviously messed up. It's been about a week and his cuts have scabbed pretty badly. New to SD and blindly trusted Google reviews. Seems that was a mistake. Go look at the one-star reviews (which I didn't and wish I had) and they are consistently telling the same story. They shaved my Australian Shepherd down to the skin. I've taken my dog in for grooming every 2 months his entire life and never had a groomer say that this was necessary. He was last groomed December 18th, today is January 31. The groomer didn't even so much as call me to let me know that they thought they needed to shave him completely. To add to that, Aussie's have double coats and should never be shaved - per my vet. When I voiced my concerns they told me that my partner told them to shave Porter. Which did not happen. Then they said lots of Aussie's are shaved and they didn't understand why I was upset. And when I said it was unacceptable how they handled Porter or the situation and asked for a refund, they said they "knew what I was trying to do" and that they "didn't want to talk to me anymore". Not even so much as an apology or any effort to remediate the situation. No, there is nothing to be done about Porter being completely bald now. However, some acknowledgment of how they could have done better, accepting any level of responsibility, a refund, or even a credit (not that I'd take him back after their response) would have been appreciated. However, I was accused of wrongfully asking for a refund and told to kick rocks. There are tons of groomers, take your fur babies somewhere else. read more

Was Not The Best... I was there waiting for a correction & the person at the front reception desk didn't engage & basically ignored me the whole time there, as they welcomed other customers in. I could hear the groomers talking about my dog & I over the wall. I could also hear my pup crying the whole time I was there & she never cries, could hear a person yelling to "Stop" In a very aggressive tone & hearing whimpering! Toward the end of waiting almost an hour there, the groomer didn't start till after 30 mins when she came out to ask if I could just come back 3 hrs later for the extra inch to be cut. I mentioned it was fine & wanted to just take my little dog home, but told me No & that they would keep her to work on it then! After showing the photos before of what we were hoping for, it turn out to look nothing like what we talked about when it was time to pick her up. Nice, but no shape & it was far from what we had wanted. So we called & was hung up on twice. Afterwards, went back to see if they could cut a tiny bit more since it's going to get warmer & had no shape. When showed the photo again, the owner came out & got upset saying... I should have showed a photo before, since it looked nothing like the photos. So had to mention we had & she had accused me of lying, even I tried to explain the photos the best way I could before leaving. She was extremely upset, which made it a very uncomfortable situation. Felt it was over priced for the 90 bucks for my little Pom to only get her back after they rushed it & it was all uneven compared to how it was before. But was just glad it was shorter at least, even it was still not what we wanted it to be, but it was as close as they could get it. We were going for more of a round-edge face. When leaving, had told the lady thank you, but she was still upset. Gave two stars because she did cut a little more off, but was an average okay cut you can get anywhere, nothing too special when she gave her back. Not what we paid for! Wish this place would of lived up to the rest of the positive comments, but we will not be going back:(. Especially since some of our friends that had went there, not recommended for amazing grooming, but say it was good for just basic cuts, if you don't care as much & just need a trim or good shave down, but not good if want for special occasion. Since it was easy to get in & our other groomer we love was still booked for 7 months out. We decided to take a chance & figured if we just show photos of her last cuts and what we don't want, might help them give us as nice of a cut. We just wanted it to be a little shorter, well rounded & even cut, but was choppy:( they made her head look like a little beetle juice head, but was unfortunately still better than a no shape little potato. *** AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!! *** I wish I had the option of less than 1 star. I took my two dogs here for a grooming and they are traumatized! As you can see from other review responses ceaser & his partner are rude and it translates in person. The first visit was with my smaller dog. Afterward, I picked up the little one & dropped him off at home. For some reason he didn't want to eat he seemed down - I thought maybe he just wasn't used to the teeth cleaning. When I took him back the 2nd time my little dog jumped out of my arms & back to the car after seeing where we were going. He is a service animal so this was unusual but I thought it may have been nerves so I left him. They told me my dogs would be ready at a certain time & they finished sooner because there was a cancellation. I said ok, I'm on my way. Be there in 20min. They called me 4 times while En route after already telling them I was on the way. To make matters worse when I got my dogs his partner was very very rude. Both of my pups were ridiculously happy to leave and my bigger dog looked so so sad afterward. ***I DONT KNOW WHAT THEY DID TO MY DOGS BUT I AM NEVER TAKING THEM BACK*** I would avoid this pain entirely and go literally anywhere else. read more
