It was a long period, so I was really considerate and careful when choosing the dog sitter. Then I met Sasha and she completely gained my trust! She offered to meet before the actual date to get to know my pup. She took the schedule and every instruction I gave her seriously and she stick to it! I honestly can not do a better job myself. Of course Sasha gave me up to date on my puppy everyday (she took amazing pictures lol). I made the unfortunate decision to hire this company to sit for my elderly dog. The owner came for…read morethe initial assessment and handed me their formal fee schedule. But once she saw where I lived and that I'm a doctor, the cost went up. She seemed to have forgotten that she gave me the fee schedule and was charging me more. But I had a business trip so I didn't complain at the time. As soon as I got to the airport for my trip I was bombarded with texts and calls about my dog. The woman who was actually walking my dog had been not been given any of the instructions about my dog and did not show up when I had asked (she didn't know this either). I was furious and very concerned. I called the owner who chewed me out. THIS DOG SERVICE COSTS MORE THAN ANY AGENCY I HAVE EVER USED....I've lived all over the country and my walkers everywhere cost less. California, New Orleans, NY, MO, IL, PA, MI - all less. I fired them and she refused to refund me all of the remaining money and I was very concerned that they had a copy of my house key (I got it back but I was still very worried after this woman's irratic behavior.) I haven't left a review on Yelp in a while, but I needed to share my love for this place. I have an…read more13-year old cat with renal failure. I got her when I was 11 years old and we have grown up together, so she is very very important to me. In 2013 her brother, who lives with my parents, died very suddenly of kidney failure. I immediately brought my cat to the closest vet when I moved to East Lansing with her, which happened to be Abbott Road. She at first tested to be in good health but about 8 months later she started vomiting all the time and basically stopped eating. We had been getting ready to go on vacation when this started and I had to rush her in about 3 days before we were going to leave. I almost cancelled my trip but Abbott Road saved the day. They did blood work and found that she did indeed have the early stages of kidney failure. They also offered to board her while I was out of town and give her all the medications she needed to feel comfortable again. They just charged me for boarding but she was essentially given a 5-day hospital visit to get her back in good health. When I came back from my trip, the vet explained to me what medications she would need and how to best go about making her comfortable and healthy for the months or years to come. This was in February of 2015. It is now November and my cat is doing better than ever. She has made a complete turnaround from the lethargic, vomiting, skinny cat she was in the spring back to a playful, healthy, happy cat. I cannot thank the vets and staff at Abbott Road enough. Everyone there is wonderful and so kind to my cat. I've seen both Dr. Missy and Dr. Mary, but recently only Dr. Missy and she is so fantastic. She understands that my cat is old and never tries to push unnecessary procedures. She has commended me multiple times for taking good care of my cat, something vets never do, but that really means a lot. I'm so sad to be moving, as I don't know that I'll find another vet that can compare. We will miss you Abbott Road!

However, they have attended to: Gomer, Thor, Texie, Sadie, Gulliver, Muffin, Oliver, Little Dorrit (all dogs); and cats Mr. B, Mishin, Duncan, Hitchie, Alexey. I've also had them taken care of when we went away. I loved every vet and vet tech there.
