I brought in my pup and my sisters pup in for dental. Price is reasonable and the doctor and the rest of the office are really nice. Shay is great also she scheduled appointments, fast replies. Wonderful, supportive, patient, friendly and truly kind staff; extremely attentive doctor; clean and bright premises; great after-care. Longer review : I have never been so motivated to write a positive review for a business in my entire life. I'm ashamed to admit that we have never brought our 11 year old dachshund to have his teeth cleaned before. But recently his vet recommended a cleaning and quoted over $2000 for the cleaning. As I researched the price and asked around, Pet Dental was recommended to me. From the time I made an appointment, they called to talk me through the entire process. I mentioned that my dog is older and has a history of aggression so I didn't think non-anesthetic cleaning was an option for him. They explained that they would make him super comfortable and do their best, but if he wasn't comfortable with the process that they would stop and reschedule. I took him in and unfortunately he had some infected teeth and needed extractions. The doctor came out to personally explain everything to me. He was so empathetic and supportive through the whole conversation and made sure I understood everything. The quote for the whole procedure was WAY less than the quote from our vet. Come procedure day, they were again very communicative and empathetic. Being the second time they had seen our dog, they remembered him and even had a nickname for him. He can be a handful, but they were so sweet and kind and gentle with him. That is the main thing I am so grateful for. Shes had similar encounters & the customer called her out on her behavior & response not so long ago-- & surprisingly this is a similar experience. I will attach the evidence, they're interested in $$$ ONLY! That's the reason why she reached out to me AGAIN with "VIP BUNDLE" trying to get me on the calendar. I want to give a 0 star or even a negative mark. I took my 2 dogs there for non-anesthetic teeth cleaning for over a year. At The latest cleaning, just 6 months after the last cleaning, they said that one of my dog needs 4 teeth extracted. I checked my dog's teeth but didn't see any loose teeth. I had a gut feeling and decided to have his primary vet doing the deep cleaning without mentioning anything about Pet Dental Solutions' recommendation. It turned out that my dog's teeth are normal and no extractions are necessary. I want all dog's owners to not trust this place. It's unscrupulous to extract dog's teeth for money. Our cat Igor got his last teeth removed here. We finally found a doctor who provided proper dental care for a senior FeLV+ cat. Yes, that was a challenge for us since other vets canceled the surgery last minute, and some refused to take him due to his age and health condition. Pet Dental Solutions agreed to take a look at Igor. So we had a couple of appointments for bloodwork and consultation. Dr. Maki personally discussed Igor's options and prognosis with us. Everyone at this clinic was nice to Igor & helpful. Overall, we had a much better experience removing teeth quickly under anesthesia here than our prior vets (this was Igor's 5th dental surgery since 2015). They recommended an anesthetic cleaning for him. This was unfortunate since he's 10.5 years old and putting him under is risky. The estimate was a bit pricey so I ended up taking him elsewhere. ($25 prepaid for the exam and charts) My sister brought in my other dog and he did qualify but we were a little worried since he could get somewhat antsy. He's not bad or aggressive but we didn't know how he would react with strangers up in his mouth. My sister said service was great and they finished within 30 minutes. His teeth are sparkly clean! Glad he didn't give them any trouble (hopefully). Again, $25 prepaid for the exam, which is then deducted from the total cost of $159. They also recommended antibiotics for the boy's gum recession (+$40). Overall, great pricing and exceptional service! We will definitely be back. These people are fantastic. My dog Beary had to have 8 teeth pulled, and they treated him like he was solid gold (he is!). They are extremely thorough and conscientious. I can honestly say he has never been treated so well by a service provider. For example, the vet believes in taking the time to make sure you understand their findings and what will happen. The surgery table is heated to keep your dog relaxed and comfortable. I was texted updates while Beary was undergoing surgery. And the price includes a follow-up visit and non-anesthetic cleaning 2 months post-surgery to make sure things are still fresh as a daisy. When I picked Beary up after his surgery, Shay went over his medication regimen in detail. He received 3 medications in a nice carry bag - one for pain, one for swelling, and an anesthetic. Also included were written instructions, an 8 oz bottle of oral hygiene rinse, a tooth brush, toothpaste, and a dental chew. When checkout was completed, I walked Beary on the grass median out front so he could go potty. My appointment was made a month out and they took my 16 year-old dog on time when I first arrived. Initially I was told that they would have to evaluate his teeth to ensure that he can get the cleaning. I explained to the staff that my dog used to get anesthesia and has had a seizure since his last anesthetic dental cleaning, which is why I am very opposed to putting him under. Within a half hour, the staff brought my dog out and his teeth were previously built up with tons of callous. However, as you can see in the picture, the staff was able to remove majority of the callous and educated me about some cosmetic issues that they are concerned about. I appreciate that they did not push their agenda and respected the fact that my dog is elderly. I was also provided with some education on things that I could do differently in my routine. I took my dog there for first time to do leaning. The doctor told me she needed to be put under anesthesia and she needed extract couple teeth. I was really surprised because she did teeth cleanings year ago so I didn't know why she needed to be put under. This past weekend I went to Pet Dental Solutions in Huntington Beach to get Maggie's teeth cleaned in a non-anesthetic dental clinic. I found them through the LoveBugs Rescue. They have a special deal when they work with various rescues. They did an initial exam to make sure she was in good shape for the cleaning (Maggie is 15 yrs old) and I know they did a thorough assessment because they noticed her heart murmur right away.
