The facilities are reasonable apart from it would be nice to have somewhere to sit with a table in the early evening or afternoons. It is however right on the lake and easy to get everywhere from it. The most incredible power shower, to really wake you up first thing in the morning. The staff are lovely and very knowledgeable about to local amenities.

Our expectations are high and again the staff should be mentioned as being the best. Friendly and helpful with a wonderful Italien accent when speaking English. I lost my I Phone and Marta and Marisa went beyond the call of duty and assisted in getting my Phone back to me. I recommend Hotel Ancora and you will enjoy your stay.

We've been traveling around Switzerland and wanted to make a stopover at one of the lakes in Italy. We decided to sleep in Verbania and I found this lovely Hotel. It's a great old building, well maintained and spotless clean. The couple running it were super friendly and helped us with everything in advance as well as during the stay. We felt at home right away. We got a larger corner room with a nice view. The furniture is older, by well managed. The location is close to the center, but very quiet. You can park directly in front of the place free of charge. As we ate in town I cannot comment on the kitchen. I'll book this hotel again next time I'm around.
