what a fun find! do note that the address on their IG and yelp is wrong!!! they are behind smoking boar and coconut!!! i drove around the old sugar mill and couldn't find it but luckily someone else has posted they are at a different location now! There is not that many places that serve Peruvian food, especially with this extensive of a menu thats offered! I love that theres pictures on the truck, so it's easy to see what the food actually looks like and it is received exactly the same like the picture. They are truly a hidden gem as they are tucked in the back of a existing restaurant in their lawn area. upon entering a small pathway youll first come across some plants for sale ($5) which feeds the homeless! Pretty cool, but i also have a black thumb! There is a bunch of tables with umbrellas and when we went there was a singer! what a cool vibe they got going on here. best of all it is dog friendly! I got 3 items ( the scallops, steak/pasta, and empanada) and it came out to about $60 with tip. My friend got the ceviche with white fish which turned out to be Hamachi. It was also very yummy! Service was also super friendly and best part of all is that it's dog friendly! whoo hoo!

We stopped by for lunch after shopping at a local farmers market - it is a stationary food truck tucked in the back of a cafe in front with plenty of seating and daily live music. I'm so glad we came here! I've been to Peru and love the cuisine! I've tried many lomo saltado (soy sauce "shoyu"-marinated beef strips with tomatoes, cilantro over fries) in San Francisco, here and elsewhere. Peruvian Corner Hawaii serves such a tasty Lomo Saltado that I think it is one of the best I've had! The family that runs it is so hospitable and Aloha! Thank you so much! I would definitely stop by again!

Absolutely incredible. We rolled up to this location right as the rain was dying down, there were puddles on the ground and a kid playing in the mud. It felt comfortable, everyone there seemed like friends and the neighboring restaurant welcomed everyone equally. I spoke a little Spanish with the woman behind the counter and I swear that must have unlocked the floodgates of familial care even further because our serving sizes were incredibly generous. Being able to eat outdoors or in only added to the home like ambiance and comfort. The octopus in the pulpo grill had zero flaws. Cooked to perfection with a lovely sauce, each bite perfectly measured with fat and flavor. Each bite of the ceviche returned energy to my soul and body, refreshing me to take on the rest of the day. So much citrus and spice, yet not an ounce of flavor lost in the mix. And of course yuca fries are amazing, if you've never had them you could do much worse than trying them here.

Some of the best food I've had on the island! Seriously a must try! The staff (I believe it's family owned) was very friendly as well. 10/10 recommend!

First time here after seeing all the wonderful reviews as soon as we found the place our family was greeted by the 2 owners they were so nice & friendly we placed our order at there beautiful food truck area then waited for the our food it was made so fresh. We got 2 plates & the lilikoi cheese cake dessert which was nothing short of delicious I Recommend this place!

The food stand is located behind the building. They do have a restroom in the building that you can use. The food is very good and definitely made fresh. The wait isn't too bad and there is seating outside. I really liked the flavourful food and definitely would like to go back next time I am in the area. The service was good, but they did not mention that tip is included in the card transaction. That was slightly annoying.

When my husband asked me where to eat for my birthday, all I could think of was Peruvian Corner! This was our third time to visit, and we've always loved their food. We really love Peruvian food because it is unique and something you will not find so easily on the island. We had a plan for what to order, but when we arrived, we noticed they added new dishes to the menu, and everything looked so appetizing and delicious. We decided on the Peruvian Chicken, which I believe is called Aji de Gallina. It came with a light, creamy, and delicious yellow sauce. We also tried the calamari ceviche, which was fresh, lightly breaded, and ono! I couldn't resist trying a Peruvian empanada, so we got the Wagyu beef empanada. It's unlike any other empanada I've had (but in a good way). The pastry is light, flaky, and puff-like, slightly oily but delicious. Auntie Fanny also taught us how to eat it with ceviche sauce, yummy! And to finish, we had their tres leches cake, which was light and creamy. Something we really enjoyed! For drinks, we got the Inca Kola (like a light cream soda) and the Chicha Morada, a must-try Peruvian purple corn drink that Auntie Fanny makes from scratch. Beyond their amazing food, what keeps us coming back is their kindness, authenticity, and warm aloha spirit. Quick Tip: They're now open Tuesday through Sunday at 67-456 Goodale Ave, Waialua, HI 96791 (behind the Smoking Boar and Coconut). We can't wait to go back. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to try something unique and delicious! Mahalo nui loa Chef Miguel and Auntie Fanny!

An Explosion of Peruvian Flavor! This food truck is a gem! Tucked away in the north shore, this little corner of Peruvian gastronomy serves authentic and delicious dishes. Got the Lomo Saltado and it was absolutely spectacular. The meat was tender and juicy, perfectly sautéed with onion, tomato, and those irresistible fries; the sweet and sour sauce that coats it is perfection. Plus, the Yuca Frita was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the ideal accompaniment. To drink, the Chicha Morada is a refreshing drink with a unique spicy flavor that you can't miss. It's the perfect finishing touch to the meal! But what really makes this place shine are its owners Fanny & Miguel. They are the kindest and loveliest people. They make you feel like you're eating in their own home. They smile, chat, and clearly put their love into every dish. Thank you for such an amazing meal.

We've been to Peruvian Corner several times now since November. At this point, Aunty Fanny and Uncle Miguel do not disappoint us when we come and with whatever they serve us. I don't know what I'm ordering and pretty much just pointing at the photos as I'm eating with my eyes first and it's just as advertised and delicious. All seafood is fresh and really good. The ceviche is a great appetizer. The menu has grown and makes us want to try it all! We ordered a chicken with rice in aji amarillo sauce almost looking like yellow curry but there's not even a hint of curry in it. Excellent new dish on the menu! Ask for more aji amarillo as it's a sweet but mildly spicy pepper sauce. The things I do know I ordered are tallarin saltado, chicha morada (a must buy drink) and inca cola. We always leave with a to go order because something about this food, their seasoning, and the smell of it makes us want it again. Also that chicha morada is too good to not stock up on. They are now regular at their Waialua location behind the Boar and the Coconut Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 730pm. All seating is outdoors. They will accept private parties as well. We will be back as they make us happy and our stomachs happy!

This place is the bomb. The vibe is very north shore, you eat outside beside a small veggie garden in the sun under umbrellas. The hospitality is 10/10 and the husband and wife that work here will treat you like family. THE FOOD is honestly made with an artists touch. Super flavorful and authentic Peruvian with awesome refreshing homemade drinks. The ingredients are fresh and everything is made from scratch. If you ask Fanny about the healthy aspects of what they serve she will explain that the salsa they make has medicinal properties and it tastes so dang good. I love to get the lomo soltado because it's a classic but I have never had anything I don't like here. Whether it's a super hot day and you want some super fresh ceviche or a hearty warm meal come and try this out 10/10!

Great food and better people! Made us feel right at home like you came to their home for dinner! Aloha and Mahalo Joe & Celeste

Such delicious authentic Peruvian food owned by a sweet Peruvian couple. Would highly recommend, it's a must stop. Perú just has the best food ever. For reference we ordered the yuca frita, tiradito, ceviche clásico, arroz con mariscos and chicha morada 10/10 súper rico te amo perú

Everything I've had here is so tasty! It's no surprise because Miguel was an executive chef in Argentina for 20 years! With Peruvian roots, a passion for good food, and years of striving for excellence, you must try their humble establishment on Oahu's countryside, Waialua. You'll enjoy anything you have here but today I encourage you to try their tasty health drink called chicha morada! It reminds us a lot of hibiscus but carries a mouthfeel all its own. Fanny makes it from scratch and it's very special. They make their sauces and desserts from scratch actually, so you've gotta lean into this fantasy made reality. Wild this place is empty. I mean they did just find this space to settle into after a couple years of finding their way. They would prop up tents, break them down, and do it again. And again. And again! Reminds me of what it takes to have a dream come true! One step at a time. I first met this family at a pop up event in Hale'iwa, then an event at a local elementary school and now at their very first establishment in Waialua. We used to have trouble tracking them down but now we know where the treasure gets to bubble and live! This family has only been here for two years but the aloha spirit is palpable! Let's continue to guide each other to this authentic Peruvian food made with aloha. I had trouble finding their hours so thought I'd share a few notes here. Open Monday - Friday 10:30am - 6pm Saturdays and Sundays, open from 3:30-7. Unless they're working an event! Check them out on instagram where they post where they will be if not in their said hours @peruviancornerhawaii

This Eat the Street was pork and their main pork dish was Asado...unfortunately they ran out around 7pm when I got there, so I didn't get any pork. Lame. Anyways, onto the food! I decided to go with their Chicken Saltana. I honestly didn't read the description, but I remember that I wanted something reasonably cheap and somewhat healthy. Can't really go wrong with chicken, peppers, onions, salad and rice. I pride myself on only rating places on their food, unless their service or something else is just absolutely horrendously terrible. But I would like to mention that the wait for my plate was about 35 minutes...standing...in a crowded parking lot...hungry...and tired. I expected more from a food truck, I mean come on now, this isn't a sit down restaurant, you gotta get the order and make it quick and good. At least the live music was good and the moon was quite nice. Opening my plate, I see a pretty nice plate of food. Reasonable amount of chicken and peppers and onions, generous servings of rice and salad, and a little container of what appeared to be dressing. It was all spiced with what I assumed to be Peruvian spices and also cilantro and a sweet oil based sauce used to cover the chicken and veggies and rice. The chicken looked a little plain, but the sweet sauce and veggies and cilantro really went well with the juicy chicken and the Peruvian rice (Twas a little crispy/hard, but very tasty) was pretty delicious. However, the salad was just....bleh...The veggies were fine, but the dressing was basically salt incarnate...and I'm 80% sure I detected a hint of fish, which was not good at all. For $8.90 though...not bad for everything. Overall, pretty okay meal. Without the salad, I'd give it 3.5 stars. Not bad, but nothing too spectacular. I must remember to try the other trucks at Eat the Street next time, I didn't check Yelp to see which trucks were good at the event...and I believe it cost me this time. Oh well...there is always next time.

The chicken thighs were beautifully seasoned and slightly charred. The meat was cooked all the way through yet still juicy with bone in thigh. The purple sticky rice was perfectly done and I love the texture of sticky rice in general. The plate also came with sliced cucumbers and pickled mustard greens (reminiscent of Vietnamese pickled mustard greens - but in a much more vibrant green color). My favorite part of the meal was the tart and aromatic sauce that came in the meal. If you're not a fan of lime juice and fish sauce, you may want to use sparingly. However, I was thoroughly enjoying the sauce and when accompanied with a bit of the mustard greens, it toned down the sour aspect of the flavor profile. Overall, so delicious and I would love to find them again and enjoy more of their menu items!

The location off the beaten path is what originally drew me in. The exterior patio seating with blue umbrellas made me curious. Once I walked inside, I instantly knew the Cuban food was going to hit. Not only did it hit, it exploded into space and I returned 4 times on my vacation and recruited family members to go multiple times as well. On my first solo visit, I was going in to strictly get coffee and then decided to give a main dish a shot which was the traditional cuban. Let me tell you - I wish my husband was with me as the portions here are out of this world. This dish came out on a colorful dish on top of a bamboo board with fruit galore! It looked like a painting that I shouldn't touch but rightfully did. Needless to say, I had a leftover box on day 1. I then returned more times and want to highlight the Monte Castro sandwich which I fortunately or unfortunately split with my husband. Unreal!! It was drizzled in honey, served on the bamboo plate, had double decker bread and a plethora of fruit and some picked veggies on the side. I don't want to say more because I want everyone to go and split this meal with a loved one. It is award winning deserving. For my 3rd visit, I had the papaya bowl and once again - it was fantastic and required a to-go box as well. I'm so sad to know I'll never get to try the tres leche French toast as my vacation is coming to a close and there are so many more items I wanted to try.
