Quarter chicken with Primavera Rice
Seanniece B.

Shout out to the bartender/our waiter. Suuper nice. Very attentive. I got the quarter chicken with rice. Amazing. The seasoning on the rice was great. I also got the Maracuya juice which was passion fruit juice and it was really good. It was like a aqua Fresca so it wasn't very strong. It had more of a muted flavor.

Stopped in for a drink because it was across from where I was staying. It is a cute little place where it seems to be a fast food meets sit down hybrid (have to wait to be seated). You can go right up to the bar and order though. It was a later evening and quiet which good with me! They have really cute wall decors and ceiling to floor of live plants which were getting pruned while we were there. We sat at the bar and had a quick drink. He got the espresso martini (they were out of the vanilla which is fine, we love a good classic espresso martini). I got the blueberry lavender margarita. I don't usually do margaritas but it was so good. Sweet and tangy, and super pretty, finished with a fried lime and lavender sprig! His espresso martini was really pretty and tasty too, with a really nice strong coffee smell and flavor almost cold brew style strength. The foam and cinnamon was a delight.

Their happy hour is SUPER good!

I had the chicken power bowl, which was cooked to perfection. The ambiance was wonderfully chill, and the service provided by Carlos was exceptional - as always! We visit at least once a week and are consistently impressed by the freshness of their food selection. I highly recommend trying their empanadas and sandwiches, all of which are extremely delicious. Oh and their happy hour is the BEST!!!

Chicken Empanada

This place was down the street from my hotel, so I needed a quick bite. I saw there was plenty of people inside for lunch, so figured I go and try it out. You go to the register to order and go find a seat. They will bring you your food. After you're done, you just leave your plate and etc and they will clean it up. So it's like a semi full service restaurant? I got the power bowl and substitute the quinoa for the rice. The food was not greasy and had good flavor. The grilled chicken was cooked well and had a yummy sauce to go with it. I also tried the baked empanada and that was very good too. The sauce that came with it was equally yummy but a little too spicy for me! This is a great place for a healthy option meal.

Alfajor Cookie

I came here on a whim and they did not disappoint. My wait time for my food was about 30 minutes, I think that's because it was getting busy around the time that I ordered, but also I ordered a dessert that was made ready to order. My dinner consisted of a sandwich called the triple. It is sandwich with three slices of bread, avocado, tomato, eggs and light mayo. It was perfection, I am healed the first half and made sure to slow down to eat the second half of my sandwich. I tried out multiple sauces. They have a sweet smoky one, which was my favorite, next the aïoli would be my second favorite, and lastly, the cilantro. For dessert I ordered picarones which is the most heavenly donut I've ever tasted. You can taste the pumpkin, it comes with a syrup you can dip it in that has cinnamon and star anise (I'm not a fan of star niece as a flavor, but however, they do it, it made me love the syrup ) it is chewy. It is a little bit crisp on the outside. It is heaven, and I recommend eating it while it's hot.I received four of those. Will I go back, absolutely, absolutely hands-down I will go to this restaurant again before I leave lastly, I ordered an alfajor cookie. It was not overly sweet and it crumbles in your mouth. 10 out of 10.

Steak Bowl

Ordered through Uber Eats. I got the steak bowl (minus the hard boiled egg, and sauces and salsas on the side). The food was good and had great flavor but there just wasn't enough of it in my opinion. There could have been more sweet potatoes for sure. Especially for the price point.

Lomo Saltado
Tony T.

I came in for dinner and was politely greeted. The guy helped me decide which Lomo Saltado to order. I went for the more basic one. You order up front and then sit wherever you want and they bring you the food. I got Passion Fruit juice also, which was very good. The entree was good, the rice and fries soaked up the beef jus which makes them much more flavorful. The menu claims this is beef tenderloin, but it didn't seem as tender as I was expecting. Overall the flavors were good and the portion was enough to fill me up. I would return and try the ceviche.

Ceviche, Chicha morada Fresh Chicha Morada

4.5+ Warm greeting and smooth vibes set by the music playing. I opted for the ceviche ($20) and my husband got the quarter chicken, white ($8) with plantains ($5). The ceviche was a large portion of fish, thinly sliced red onions, with sweet potato and two types of corn. Perfect for a warm day but I loved it even in tonight's freezing temperatures. My husband said the chicken was flavorful and he loved their house sweet and smoky hot sauce. The sweet plantains tamped down the heat a bit. The chicken is a bit pricey compared to Sardi's but a nice local spot for dinner and drinks.

Picarones

We came here for a quick dinner while staying at a nearby hotel. Great food! We got the power bowl and chicken bowl with the picaronnes dessert. The bowls were fresh and tasty, with food portions. Service was quick and efficient. The ambiance was what you'd expect for a fast casual place. Would come back!

If you love empanadas, Peruvian Brothers does them right. My seven-year-old daughter and I LOVED their beef ones. They sprinkle a little powder sugar on top and give you a delicious dipping sauce. So good! My wife loves their seasonal soups, especially on a cold day. The space at this location is large with plenty of seating. Order on the screen or at the register. Your food is ready within minutes.

Peruvian Brothers was a convenient spot for a quick early dinner. It was not very busy at all. We came during happy hour and they had some specials. I feel like it's a bit pricey for peruvian chicken.

Blue cheese dressing

Walked in for something quick to stall time before my travel up to Fairfax. I'd like to start by saying The ambiance and customer service are awesome. Top tier. Clean restaurant, quiet enough to not be annoyed but loud enough to not have your conversations merge with other customers. The food was meh. I've eaten at many Peruvian restaurants and the vibrance and aroma wasn't there. I settled for wings and fries because ... how do you go wrong there right. Wings 5/10 were crispy on outside but chewy and hard to bite through. No flavor at all I ended up using salt and pepper on me. The hot sauces were very different not appropriate for the food selection but they didn't have any regular hot sauce so I had to deal. Was served with a blue cheese dipping sauce with very overwhelming sized blue cheese chunks. Fries 6/10 Crispy but tasted like grilled chicken patty which I'm not sure was done on purpose or if the grease they were fried in was old.

Chorizo Sandwich
Scott W.

Relatively good food and courteous staff. I do like that it's close enough to walk to because parking can be a challenge. It's paid street parking, if you can find a spot. Prices are ok but I think cater to the area. The setting is nice, with a casual but comfortable feel to it. Great for hanging out with friends. I think some food is better than others so you'll have to find your favorites. My wife and I decided to split two sandwiches for different experiences. I found the chicharron ok but very average, while the chorizo was better. We also capped our meals with a chicha morada and something else (sorry; name escapes me). They were ok but didn't "wow" me.

I ordered the chicken enchiladas, a meat pie and a side of refried beans; hubby got two pupusas - bean/cheese and pork/bean. We also got refrescas, I got the melon/pina and he got tamarindo. The melon one was delish, mostly canteloupe flavor. The tamarindo was a little tart for me but still good. Important to know (and I did) but enchiladas at a Salvadoran place are not the same as Mexican or Tex-Mex enchiladas; they're what Mexican cuisines would call tostadas. Chicken, cabbage, cheese, a tomato slice, and a slice of hard boiled egg on a deep fried corn tortilla. These were delicious and the favorite part of my meal. I was worried that pickled cabbage would over power the other flavors but it didn't. They were great. The refried beans were so-so, I probably would skip them next time and the side portion is tiny. The meat pie was great though, I would get that again too. I had a bite of one of my husband's pupusas and it was good but I liked my enchiladas better. The prices here are extremely inexpensive. Our whole dinner was like $20 plus tax/tip I think. That's almost unheard of. The main issue is that they brought my food out very fast and then another 20 minutes til my husband got his. They could work a bit on timing orders a bit better. I shared, fear not, but orders should come out together. It's not a huge deal but an area for improvement.

They're open until 4 AM which is amazing because not many places around here are openly and especially not ones that have really good food like this place. They had such a huge menu and the food was very clearly made fresh and tasted amazing. I thought this was such an amazing find considering we went at midnight and it wasn't super busy, but the food was still amazing. They have a lot of different ice cream treats and the burrito bowl was really good. I also got chips and queso and the chips were seasoned, and it really added to the clearly homemade queso.
