He he printed out that list and brought it with us to the offices -- I thought it would be embarrassed by it, but now I know it showed we meant business! We wanted to find someone who would consult with us and respect our decisions on vaccinations and antibiotics. We wanted to veer on the homeopathic side of care whenever possible. We wanted someone who respected the fact that our son was born at home with a midwife. It was hard to find all of this in a pediatrician, but in a family doctor, Dr. Scheerer was the It man. Dr. Scheerer is accomodating, I don't feel like a sardine in a tin can in his waiting room, he sits with you and really listens to your concerns. He knows his holistics but is also affiliated with St. Joe's, so you get the best of both worlds. He supports breastfeeding. He looks like he was in a rock band once, but has pictures of his family on a slideshow screensaver. Also, since he's a family doctor, he can take care of the whole fam. He sees babies every day, so we felt comfortable to have our son under his care. His staff remembers us and it really feels a lot more inviting than any other doctor I've been to. If you really like flourescent lights, a hospital setting, and a sterile-feeling environment, then he probably isn't for you. He is thoughtful, thorough and engaging. His standard of care is among the best I have ever experienced in any of a variety of medical settings. I've been a patient of Dr. Shadigian's for several years now. I was introduced to Dr. Shadigian by my partner several years ago. My partner did extensive research into doctors in area when she was searching for a primary care doctor/GYN and finally decided to visit Dr. Shadigian for an annual physical/GYN exam. She had a great experience, and recommended that I see her. I am so glad I did. Dr. Shadigian has greatly increased my health and quality of life the last several years. It should say it all that I drive half-way across the country (NY - MI) at least once each year to have Dr. Shadigian conduct my annual physical/GYN exam, she's that great. We also stay in touch with phone appointments and tests to adjust medications in between, as necessary. Dr. Shadigian is committed to ensuring her patients are not only healthy, but happy. She really cares about patient comfort and overall wellness. To cite only one recent example out of many, I called her office on a holiday with a minor/irritating health issue, and asked if she could please consult with me and call in a prescription if necessary to alleviate my discomfort. She was super busy that day but made time to call me back that evening (9 p.m. on a holiday--how many doctors will do that for you?), discuss the issue, and call in the prescription for me before the pharmacy closed. The WomanSafeHealth facility itself is also wonderful, comfortable, clean, safe and inviting. It's designed to create an atmosphere conducive to healing and reduce stress, decorated with beautiful light wood, calming decor (e.g. zen rock garden), free WiFi, and a fridge that is always stocked with healthy and delicious foods. It's like no other physician's office I've been to, more like a nice day spa than a traditional "doctor's office." In sum, I highly recommend Dr. Shadigian and WomanSafeHealth. 5 stars for sure.

The nursing staff in pre-op made me feel very at ease. This might not be noticed by all but to be given quality gown that wasn't threadbare or with knotted ties and very comfortable socks was great. Each person I was going to come in contact with in the operating room came in to introduce themselves, explain what their job was and answer any questions was important. The post-op care was great, too. The fact that they phoned to see how I was doing afterwards and answer any questions showed their professionalism. I highly recommend this facility and staff.

The administrative staff is incompetent. By failing to provide the billing companies for the various entities involved my CURRENT insurance information - as opposed to what they had on file for me from years before - they have cost me time and trouble. I've just received the latest round of bills noting that I had no insurance coverage on the date of service, which is not true. Now I'm in for MORE PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS, in an attempt to straighten it out. Why bother asking for my insurance card and check-in if you're not going to actually do anything with it? AVOID this place - unless you want the kind of headaches I'm going through.
