Their hourly fee is expensive. The In-home aid the Company sent had no training or experience with assisting anyone except perhaps a family member with dementia. We have insurance that contributes to part of the cost. The insurance requires a short form to be submitted with the assistance provided daily. The owners said we have our own form. We showed the owner what information was required. She said we will included that in our form. Their filled out form had multiple issues time after time. We paid them with a check which the owners lost, then found. We had to put a stop payment on the check. I hope there are better run services.

Every caregiver we've interacted with has been professional, kind, and genuinely caring--not just doing a job, but forming a real connection with my dad. It gives our family such peace of mind knowing he's in such good hands. One of the biggest reliefs for us has been how they handle the billing process with CalPERS Long Term Care Insurance. They direct bill the insurance company, which means we don't have to worry about being the middle person or dealing with the stress of reimbursements. That alone has saved us so much time and energy. They also went out of their way and helped my mom in an emergency situation. They also are very quick and accommodating when last minute care is needed. I was stressed as I was dealing with a lot. I googled and researched caregiver agencies in the Elk Grove/Sacramento area. I was nervous having a complete stranger watch my loved one. When I called, I was referred to someone (unfortunately, I forgot her name) but she was super helpful and empathetic. Eventually, a Care Designer named Victoria Roberts, came to evaluate my loved one and helped with all the paperwork. She was professional, asked all the right questions, and seemed very experienced. She started her search to get a caregiver come 3x/week right away, since I was on a time crunch. After discussing the situation with the rest of my family, they decided they could handle the situation and that we didn't need to spend the money. I felt horrible having to call Victoria to let her know we weren't moving forward with everything, as I knew she worked hard in trying to find a good caregiver for us last minute. I thought for sure Victoria would be angry given all the work she had to do. To my surprise, she was so kind and understanding! Plus, this was all after hours around 8pm! I was surprised on her availability to talk to me and her kindness. I slept in a recliner for 2 months in hospitals upon hospitals watching over a loved one. On top of work and everything else, I was exhausted. Victoria's kindness meant the world to me. Next time I need a caregiver, I most definitely will reach back out to Nurse Next Door.

During my search, I have realized that most of the agencies have dealt with difficult situations from their own pasts, which seems to create a certain familiarity.. I know it will be challenging trying to find the right agency, and finding the right caregiver that will want to help us out on the weekends.. Erika was very helpful, but also very upfront that because of the shortage of workers, it may take some time to find someone. I am glad I called.

He complained loudly. Then after that, I received an additional bill of 80.00 stating they had worked additional hours. This was a lie. The caregiver worked four ours each of the two days as agreed. Nothing further. Carrie stated "well it was on the care plan". That would be great to know. But I was never provided any copy of said care plan. If I had been, then I would have cancelled care. Immediately. They were deceptive in their practices. Do not recommend. Then today I received mail at the house addressed to my father. They were clearly told not to send mail to him as I am the POA and Trustee. He is incapacitated. Again another mistake. They were notified that all mail needs to come to me . Directly. From day one. This overall was a disappointing, unprofessional and anxiety giving experience. I would not recommend them if you care about peace of mind for your loved one.
