I came here because I saw Liposculpture by Design advertised on Groupon and I was a bit curious about their services. Glad I went because I met some truly lovely people. I did a little research before purchasing the Groupon and found out that this office offers massages, facials, laser hair removal, alternative treatment to injuries, weight loss, botox and a host of other services. The Groupon I purchased was for a resurface facial, aromatherapy massage and a paraffin wax dipping for the hands. It was a reasonable price and allowed me to try a few of their services at one time. The office has two entrances, one on the upstairs and the other on the back of the bulding on the first level. Once I figured out it was best that I enter on the 1st level on the back portion of the building, I entered and I was a bit confused. It looked like a normal medical office. I was greeted by the very vibrant and helpful receptionist by the name of Camille. She was such a pleasure to meet and instantly made me feel right at home. After filling out a brief medical history, I was escorted upstairs for my services. I said the 1st level looked like a medical office, well, the 2nd level looked like a spa. Very interesting layout. The massage I received was ok, but with the amount of noise I could hear in the room next to us and in the hallway, it was far from being relaxing. After my massage I sat in the waiting room for my facial. While waiting, the owner of the office, Dr. Mussenden, came over and introduced herself to me. She's a very pleasant person and I was impressed that she took the time to introduce herself and to get to know me. She even explained the background of the office and the services that she provides. Very interesting person. I then went in to have my facial. I was a bit less impressed with my facial. The estetician didn't use a magnifying glass/light to view my pores and while running an errand after I left, I noticed she didn't get all of the facial mask off of my face. I literally had to go into a public restroom and use some water and a paper towel to get the remnants of the mask off. I didn't get to get the paraffin wax dip because I was told that it was too messy. Instead, myself and the emplyoyee stood in the bathroom where she gave me a scoop full of scrub so I could exfoliate my hands and lower arms. Pretty awkward standing in the bathroom doing this, but my skin did feel soft after. I'm a bit up in the air about if I will return or not. I liked the staff, but I wasn't 100% impressed by the services I received. It's in a perfect location and the decor was nice, but I'm not sure if the services I received would be worth me paying full price. Either way, I met some interesting people and I did get a break from my hectic/fast paced schedule for a couple of hours.

I started researching and quickly discovered they offer a facial that helps with nasal congestion for allergy sufferers like myself. I started calling to make an appointment and eventually received a call back. When I arrived, I was a little confused because the entrance to the spa was locked. I had to call (fortunately someone answered) and advised me to go around back to the lower level entrance. As previous Yelpers have stated, the lower level has a clinical feel. However, the upstairs looks like a modern spa. During my facials, the esthetician Camille focused on my nasal sinus cavities. The massaging helped relieve pressure, inflammation, and congestion. Camille is knowledgeable and has a vibrant personality; she's a very likeable lady. The only problem that I had was the fact that she's like quadruple encumbered. Aside from her work as an esthetician, she serves as the Jade therapy expert, office manager, and receptionist. I've had 2 facials there and both times she was interrupted by colleagues needing assistance... Your Body by Design is a medical spa. As such they offer a lot of services, but I think they are extremely understaffed. With the seasons changing, I recently called trying to schedule another facial to no avail... When I finally got through, I was informed that Camille wasn't available until some time in December.

CareFirst has covered all of the procedures i've had done. I've paid only a co-pay. The treatments I have received have been about a two out of 10 on a pain level. It is incredible to sit there and watch the veins vanished before your eyes. If you are worried about swelling or edema or veins or skin changes please come to this practice. I could not recommend Dr. Debra or his nurse more highly. I have already referred patients to him.

I even ended up in the hospital with Sepsis and another infection. I feel confident that if I had not stopped seeing him for a while that I would not have ended up in the hospital. I recently started seeing him again for some pretty serious gut issues, and I am already starting to feel better by following what he told me to do! Both of my adult boys and my daughter-in-law also go to Dr. G. They report that he is the only doctor they have been to who actually cares about them and who "listens" to their issues. If you are having any health issues or are just not feeling like yourself, I highly recommend Dr. G. In my opinion, you'll ask yourself what took you so long. Below is my 2018 review: Dr. G is an amazing doctor. My entire family goes to him even though he is not on our insurance. He is very non-judgmental and easy to talk to. You can be honest with him because he does not judge you; instead, he works with you to make you feel your best and stay healthy. I also love that there's a doctor my kids trust and respect as this gives me peace of mind. He talks to you and learns about your life style, medical history, etc. (along with comprehensive blood work) before putting a plan into place. I had depression, felt overwhelmed by life in general, and had hot flashes. He had me do blood work for things my primary doctor overlooks and found why I was feeling so poorly. My three-year-old son had been suffering from severe tooth pain for weeks, crying in agony and unable to eat or sleep. I desperately visited five different offices across DC, Maryland, and Virginia-- including two emergency room visits-- only to be turned away each time because appointments were booked months out. It was a heartbreaking and frustrating experience. A friend recommended Dr. Bryant's office, and I am beyond grateful that I made the call. To my amazement, they told me to come in immediately. Within two hours, my son was seen, sedated, and had his problematic teeth extracted. The relief and gratitude I feel are indescribable. From the moment I walked in, Mazie, his assistant was an absolute angel. She listened to my concerns, reassured me, and stayed by my side throughout the entire process. She was incredibly gentle with my son and made a terrifying situation feel manageable. The staff provided compassionate, professional, and swift care, which made all the difference. Not to mention the beautiful and well kept office and bright lighting coming in from the large windows. Making him our family doc was the best decision we ever made. He is INCREDIBLY approachable; you never feel rushed, he takes the time to answer all questions big and small -- and over all just seems to go the extra mile, and REALLY & TRULY CARE about his patients. PCPs/General practitioner family docs are a dying breed. To find a PCP that is a sole practitioner, not in a large medical group is EXTREMELY rare, if not basically extinct these days. It makes SUCH a HUGE difference to have a doc, where you are HIS patient rather than just another number to a random group practice. The gold ol' days of medicine are almost gone and it is just so amazing that Dr. Maslen is still there. All the pressures in medicine today push, if not force docs to sell their practices and join these large medical groups-- costs, insurance, etc are the culprit here. We are just so thankful to have a doctor that loves what he does and endures the incredible pressures to retain his independent sole practice. Idk.. But I wanted to make sure referrals were going to be in place, etc. No one cancels their appts. so when they say 3 months and "they'll call you if there's a cancellation...." don't hold your breath. But I'm very happy with my new PCP! He was comfortable with my diagnoses and complicated conditions and the treatment course I'm on so I actually am not going to all of those specialists appts. for now. He was so nice, easy to talk to and made me feel welcome.
