Love supporting a small family biz, especially this time of year. These folks were super sweet and friendly.
We arrived this past Sat. @ 11am. Easy place to locate, but no parking lot, so just make a u-turn and park best you can on the grass near the main entrance. Rained hard recently and it was quite muddy. Come with those boots you don't mind getting very dirty.
Note to others, not a single mask worn by staff or any of the customers. For the record, that is not a huge deal for us since we were outside and kept our distance. Just want others to be prepared or plan otherwise if that would bother you. Yelp asks us to note these sorts of things, so that is just what I am doing. I would like at least the person taking your $ to be wearing one, but again....not a huge issue on this windy day.
The farm itself is decent size and they have 5-6 different varieties. These trees are not manicured and most are very large (11' the norm). We picked out a Japanese tree that was quite nice and the price is super reasonable ($7/foot) versus the more upscale spots that charge #12-$13/foot) for similar species. They do the cutting for you, bundle up and even tied it successfully to our vehicle and we were in and out within an hour. read more
