I had a very upsetting encounter with one of the girls working here. I had made an appointment for my 7 year old son to have his baby tooth pulled and the doctor that performed the extraction was amazing and so was her assistant. After the extraction was done the doctor said she would sterilize the tooth so my son could take it home and I thought we would be on our way. Then an employee with bright pink hair came over and told me she would not allow us to take the tooth home because it was against policy. She was point blank and rude, my son started crying because he was excited to show his tooth off and confused when she said he couldn't have it. It was heart breaking, just a little boy wanting to keep his tooth after having a stressful dental procedure. The doctor said we could take it home no problem but then the pink haired girl came right over and said the doctor doesn't have a say here, which is pretty odd. Very upsetting. She went out of her way to be unpleasant and we will not be returning. Clearly she doesn't have children or remember being one herself and how special that tooth is. read more

If you are just going for a simple cleaning they are ok but never go for a partial or bridge. They take payment right away then over 2 months later they have him come in. They make my 77 year old husband wait for 2 and half hours just to tell them the set was lost but they are going to put a rush on the new set. 3 months later and 2 more appointments and still nothing. Been going here for almost 2 years. I have had dental disease the whole time. I go every 6 months for the cleanings my insurance allows. Go for my cleaning yesterday and they recommend a deep cleaning. Numb your whole mouth and scrape your teeth under the gum line. No antibiotics included, mouth rinse extra, etc.. I said no just want my regular cleaning. The dentist then informs I am done and she won't clean my teeth anymore because I don't want a deep cleaning. So I guess if she can't bill your insurance big $$$$ your teeth can just rot. Disgusted with the whole thing. I am a grown up, pretty sure I can make my own health decisions without being bullied into debt! read more

If you want a dentist that is concerned with your tooth being fixed in a reasonable amount of time, go somewhere else. Only one out of several employees seemed capable of working in an industry that must communicate to patients in a friendly manner, and it was not the dentist! I went because of a broken filling almost a month ago and hoped to get it fixed before taking vacation. I was sent home with a still broken filling. I need a crown & the crown has been approved by insurance but the dentist will not do it. I was told that because I said I have sensitive teeth to cold, not this tooth with the broken filling, but all teeth, that I need to have a consultation with a endodontist. I was assured a referral would be done to an endodontist that accepts my insurance. That did not happen. When I called back to straighten it out, no one would listen to me to hear what I needed. I was talked over by 3 different women, & each time they partially listened to what I was trying to say and then rudely interrupted me to transfer me to another woman that did the same rude interruption and transfer. The third woman acted like she listened when I was telling her they needed to send a referral to the correct place because I have contacted my insurance to get locations that accept my insurance. Then she tells me to call me insurance to get locations that are covered. I told her that is what I did and what I just explained to her before she interrupted me. She then puts me on hold in the middle of me trying to speak for about 10 seconds, comes back to pick up and hang up on me intentionally. When I called back, I spoke to Annabel. She was helpful and deserves credit for it. Through all of this, I found out I have an appointment on Saturday for a filling. I tried for 3 days to get someone to tell me what the filling is for since it was never discussed with me and I was never told I have any cavities or anything else. The dentist finally called me back after 3 days of leaving messages, but she continuously talked over me and also rudely put me on hold so I hung up. I still have a broken filling & now I will have to go see another dentist because this place has proven to me several times in a short few weeks how incompetent they are! I really could not believe how unprofessional the dentist herself was when she finally called me. Annabel, you deserve more pay and a better place to work! I looked at what they charged my husband for through insurance and it said crown my husband has only been seen once and it wasn't for a crown. This is not the greatest place to go-- not thoroughly cleaning teeth- got spit and tooth paste splashed and dripped in my face during polish, I could have done a better job flossing. It was a joke. Seriously brushed my teeth. That was the cleaning. Then for the "flouride" they q-tipped some chalky crap on it...told me not to eat or drink for a half hour then proceeded to spray my teeth with water shortly after the dentist came in.... and then he had me gargle laying down. That's difficult to do with out choking... so unorganized it's nuts. Pay for a real dentist or brush your own teeth... its a waste. read more

Thankful they got me in the next day for an extraction but not sure I will return. First they had a hard time verifying my benefits, I'm guessing because it was a private insurance through my employer, it seems they do not have much experience with that. I had to email them my insurance card, then call my insurance to get the number they can call directly, then call the dentist back and give it to them. When I walked in the office, it was small, cluttered with crying/yelling kids all around. I immediately felt this place was sketchy but I was in too much pain to care. Front area is not professional, their appearance or how they spoke. It feels like a "learning" office. The rooms did not look clean. They had to share equipment with the room next to us (the garment you wear while taking X-rays). While extracting my tooth, the dentist asked for a tool that the assistant did not know of, but doesn't matter because they didn't have it anyways. While checking out the girl needed help because I asked for a receipt. If this is the only provider you can see because the type of insurance you have then I understand, but if you have a choice, choose better. read more

Do not use these hacks. I went for a cleaning and they told me i had a filling that needed to be replaced. They replaced it and now i may need a root canal and worse than that i havent been able to open my mouth more than an inch since. They deny responsability. I paid to visit an oral surgen who told me i have TMJ trama to my jaw. Again they deny respinibility. I cant aford the treatment and cant eat solid food. Im on disability. Didn't even make it into the office. Made an appointment several weeks ago. They called last week to say they had a cancellation and asked if I wanted to come, but I told them I just wanted to keep my appointment for this week. Fast-forward to today when they apparently called my cell phone at 11:15am and left a voicemail stating that I needed to confirm my appointment for tomorrow at 5pm. I got the message around 2pm (I work full-time), and when they answered, they said that because I did not confirm by noon, they gave my appointment to someone else and I would have to reschedule. What kind of policy is that? I confirmed last week, and it was still more than 24 hours before my appointment tomorrow when I called back to confirm. I rescheduled, but they can't get me in for more than 3 weeks, so I've made an appointment elsewhere and will be calling back to cancel my rescheduled appointment. Bad business practice to give away an appointment because someone could not call back to confirm within 45 minutes on a work day. read more

I'm terrified of dentist.... because of my situation with my teeth being an emergency now I had no choice. I specifically asked the dentist before he did any work that he would prescribe me pain medication. I was assured that he would. My situation was no bad because of my neglect. So last Monday I had 8 teeth pulled. The worst pain ever and the Dentist sent me home with 15 Tylenol 3. I was in so much pain he had to sawl out my back molars. Took the Tylenol 3 like directed and ran out in 3 days. I was still in so much pain so I called The office and he prescribed 10 more Tylenol 3. Still in so much pain. Went to my next appointment today and had 6 more teeth extracted. So 14 teeth in a week. I went to get my next appointment and asked the receptionist if I could get pain meds. She said the Dr said no he already wrote 2 scripts this month. She gave me a script for ibprophren and that's it. What a JOKE! read more

I can see why the reviews on here are so poor after my one and ONLY visit. Shame on me for not checking here before I made this appointment. I won't make that mistake again. I was told I needed a deep cleaning and asked what that entailed and agreed to having it done. But, when I asked the recovery time I was told a week to a week and a half, per each side of my mouth. I explained that I've been scheduled for two major surgeries in just 3 weeks and in case anything didn't go off without a hitch, I wasn't jeopardizing those surgeries which many doctors have come together to be available for. Not to mention, are completely necessary for me as soon as possible for my health. I would have likely needed that entire three weeks to recover. The dentist got rather pissy with me (sorry, just a fact) when he kept insisting I do it now. I told him I could make an appointment for the deep cleaning once I'm recovered from these surgeries, but that I'd like to have my regular cleaning now that I came in for that day, as it would be about 2-3 months possibly before I would be through my initial recovery from my previously scheduled surgeries. Then, we can schedule the deep cleaning when I am physically able to recline in a dentist chair again. His response verbatim; ladies and gentlemen (wait for it, you're going to love this one) "I'm not allowed to do that now because I've already told you, you need a deep cleaning".... Hmmmm...no, I'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way. I don't know if he was mad because I ruined his weekly quota or what. All I know, that's not a dentist that gives a damn about a patient or their patients health. In fact, under the circumstances, I felt was actually dangerous that he was trying to push me into doing that so close to my previously scheduled surgeries. I didn't feel like it was safe to try and cram it in with JUST enough time to recover from them. Not to mention, I wasn't prepared for being down from dental work and I explained that I have too many doctors appointments and too many things I need to finish in preparation for said surgeries. None of that mattered. He left the room in a bit of huff and I began the process of getting out of there as fast as possible! I'll never step foot in there again. Also, it's the first time I've been to a dentist in a while due to my phobia from a childhood dental trauma. All of which I told him as a new patient in the beginning of our consultation. Instead of easing those fears he made me realize I had more to fear with him than what my dentist did to me as a kid! Because this guy truly was being dangerous in his carelessness in insisting on this NOW. And then he says he isn't allowed to even do my general cleaning now. What the hell is that? It would have been better for me to get my regular cleaning now instead of letting it go. Now I have to wait because I have to find a new facility and it'll take too much time to get in now prior to my surgeries. It's like he was a child that didn't get his way or something! It was weird, quite frankly. This guy had a wonderful opportunity here to show me I had nothing to fear after all. Instead, he made me realize, I truly did. Furthermore, I am just saying this in closing. Do NOT ever let ANY physician demand terms which you know are not conducive to your greater health folks! It's okay for you to demand doctors that just do better. And when you don't find that in one, then find the next one your insurance will cover and keep going until you find a dentist that really works well with you and is an advocate for you. Not someone who may potentially harm you. Take care of YOU people. Doctors are just people with more education than the rest of us- in their prospective fields. It doesn't mean they're always right and certainly doesn't mean you have to put up with them! They are not kings nor are they God's and we do not have to just do everything because they're demanding it. When your gut starts to sink because you feel what's happening is wrong, you RUN! I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I had to make an appointment for two days later to be fitted for a bite plate but only because it was the easiest way to get myself out the door fast. I then promptly cancelled it the following morning. So, now my teeth never got cleaned and there will be no bite plate anytime soon, which I desperately needed as soon as possible. He actually snapped at me that my gums were receding terribly because of my grinding my teeth. As if it's something I have any control over my teeth doing while I'm fast asleep! And on one positive note, I do want to mention the girl that I believe was the Hygienist, whose name I wish I could remember, was extremely attentive, seemed very skilled and was genuinely very caring. I had to have a root canal. The appointment was going to take three visits. I went to the first visit, they removed the decay and filled it with something to build it up. When I called to make my second visit, they told me that the dentist who started on me was no longer there and no one else would finish another dentist's work and they were going to refer me out to someone else. WHAT??? Now my tooth is so sensitive I can't drink water. They also owe me $700 because I paid for step two up front, but they have to discuss that with the "office manager." They took my number and I never have gotten a call back. So I called them. Every single time, they told me that the "office manager is on another line" and would call me back. I said, "I have heard that all day, I'll wait." So the "office coordinator" got on the phone and said the office manager does not work there and she was waiting for an email response. DO NOT waste your money here. The "dentists" come and go like flies and will start something they won't finish. I am thinking of contacting an attorney. I was sent here by my Dr's.office for tooth removal and upper and lower plates. They assured me that I was pre-authorized just had to pre-pay. My bad I believed them...This wasn't true at all both of my policies are not used by them. So after having my lower plate paid for and waiting and waiting and waiting to get it put in I get the flu today I tried to cancel the appointment because I do not want to infect anybody and I got nothing but total and complete disrespect, grief and attitude by an employee named Rachel now I have to wait till June to get my lower plate which is been paid for since March and I have to either bite the bullet and pay for the upper plate out of my pocket or go to Elgin. I love coming here with my family! We recently came in for a cleaning. We arrived early and we're taken in right away. The hygienist was great w/my 5 year old. She also took the time to properly place my daughter's 1st sealant by taking her probe to ensure all grooves were thinly covered, instead of just globbing it on there like other dental offices I've taken my son to. They are informative if you have questions, as well! My daughter wanted to know what sealants were and they quickly played a video to show her what it is and the steps involved. I used to work as a dental assistant, so I am picky about quality! I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a family dentist! read more

Terrible dentist the way she pulled my tooth was medieval. Was literally coming out of the chair pounding my hands n feet but she kept pulling didnt even flinch. Then just left the room with me drooling allover myself got blood on my shirt from it soaking through the bib. Was gagging almost puking from the taste of blood going down my throat. When they realized I was spitting blood in their sink gave me a lil piece of gauze. So sorry I had med card n couldn't afford another dentist but I still deserve 2b treated like a human being!!!!! read more
