Labeled me confused WHEN I COULD NOT HEAR AND told them I could not hear them am hearing impaired. Treated me for a STROKE THAT I DID NOT HAVE . Told me I DID NOT HAVE HIGH blood pressure when I DO and it was that REASON I was there, was a reaction to a blood pressure medicine I was taking. They kept me for THREE days running tests that WERE NOT MY PROBLEM and did NOT treat me for what WAS my problem. Never gave me a replacement for blood pressure, ignored the pain I was in from the medicine I was taking. Said I had pain in my neck and arms WHICH IS FALSE. Told them I took medicine for my heart, they IGNORED, told them I had sleep apnea and needed a machine at night, which they IGNORED. Once they finally believed me and released me I had to go to Griffin Medical Center to get the help I STILL NEEDED, where I was treated in a DOCTORS OFFICE and released the same DAY. Now waiting on all the bills that will come in THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY.

They still do a good job to this day taking care of these mental patients. There just isn't enough of this in this country. Milledgeville is a very nice town with very good people and food. During the years the name of the institution changed as it grew; Georgia State Sanitarium, Milledgeville State Hospital, and Central State Hospital to name a few. Although no longer in operations the old buildings still stand; making the CSH a great place to drive through to see some of Georgia's dark and fascinating history. Although you are not suppose to explore the grounds or go in the buildings, there are a few brave souls that have since the hospital ceased operations. You can find many references online to CSH with some wonderful photos from the past to the present. So next time you are in Milledgeville take a ride to the southside and check out the Central State Hospital.

This was hands-down the worst hospital experience I have ever seen. They just treated and streeted…read moremy mother-in-law, who should not have been discharged so soon (less than 24 hours) after surgery. They ignored her pain and swelling, refused to help with her shoes, or even with toileting, so that she returned home with soiled clothes. We contacted a patient advocate and tried to ask for short term rehab, in order to restore her strength and confidence, to no avail. Her nurse was in tears, telling us this is not a safe discharge. Even the person pushing her wheelchair out said they aren't allowed to push out someone who can't stand on their own - but they did. I will never use this hospital again and will share our experience online as far as possible.

Radiology Review Only + Hospital Name Change…read more.. This place has once again, changed hands; the new name is, Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin (hmmm, why the Navicent?). Because my doctor requested an X-ray, and this is the only hospital in the area (eek), my adoptive daughter brought me here. Unfortunately, they're out of my Network, so it cost me $125.00. :-( But, the service was great, and quick (took longer to fill out the paperwork, than getting the X-rays). I was in and out in about half an hour (I was really surprised, as there were 4-5 other people already there). Everyone was professional, yet friendl, too What was I found amusing, on my way out, in the hallway, about halfway to the main lobby, the clerk who had checked me in saw me, stopped me, and asked me my last name. After 3 attempts, she still couldn't get it right. So, I said, "Anthony". And, the patient who was with her, said, "Definitely easier." LoL

The lady in the financial office is a very rude pushy, bully. I hade 3 surgeries there last year…read moreand they all went well but the staff was very harsh and cold hearted every time. But I didn't have any problems with surgeries. Some staff were nice, but I guess the rest are not happy people.
