When that didn't work, he arranged for a technician to come out the very same day. I was given a two-hour service window, and the technician called about 45 minutes beforehand to let me know he could arrive about 30 minutes early. He was friendly, professional, and understood that I was working under a time constraint. The technician diagnosed the problem within minutes, had the necessary part on his truck, and completed the repair in about 20 minutes--finishing before my scheduled service window even began. She took my information and then within just a few minutes their office was calling me to set up an appointment. They gave me a time of when to expect a technician to call. That technician Kevin was texting me and letting me know of his ETA and he was exactly on time. 10:00 am . He showed up in a clean well marked vehicle and he was outstanding. He assessed the situation gave me a very fair estimate, and then was able to provide his expert opinion on some other things that could be changed if I wanted to. I took his expert advice and replaced a lot of old items on my 10-year-old garage door. I've seen a lot of my neighbors garage doors of the same age fail with much more severe consequences than mine. (the expected labor cost should be between $150 to -$350) The Liftmaster 6580L he charged $1,440 (Amazon $486.68 plus a new rail. Expect to pay between $650 and $900 total..Professional labor $200 to $400. Turnkey installation $650 to $800 is standard. The 8' rail is listed at $115 to $130. THE TOTAL CHARGE FOR THE NEW OPERATOR WAS $1,440 (can you say RIPOFF and totally OVER CHARGED) My total bill for 1 opener and two sets of springs plus $375 to service all three garage doors was $3,305. I have called the company 4 times to discuss the bill. I HAVE LEFT WOOD FOR DON TO CALL ME 3 times - said he was on the road and would call me. I thought I was dealing with Fix N Go but when I made out the check it was to Garage Door Repair Service so I guess they farm it out without my knowledge and the other company can charge what ever they want or can get away with.
