Great health care! I…read morehave seen a few different doctors here as I tend to only go to the doctor when I feel that I'm about to die. They all have one thing in common. They really care about the patients. The thing I love the most is they will work you in when you are sick so you don't have to suffer until they find an appointment time for you. I've been seen for everything from the flu to a canoe accident. I think there is sometimes a negative connotation with small town doctor's offices but you won't find anything negative here. They have always provided excellent health care. Sometimes the wait is long but again I'm usually sick and don't have an appointment. I never wait in the lobby very long. I get called back fairly quickly so the majority of the time is spent in the exam room. This doesn't bother me at all because I know they are taking their time to listen to their patients to make the best diagnosis. That is much preferred over a quick and incorrect diagnosis.

It's an EMERGENCY department, show some urgency! The women at the waiting room desk, with not another soul in sight just looked at me lost and had no customer service whatsoever. This place is a joke! After waiting around for no reason they finally come into the room to tell us they don't have the equipment for the problem my mother was having! Why did the ambulance even bring her there? No communication at all... Hickman county emergency services are a joke all around.

Everyone here is super-nice and respectful. 2. My privacy has been respected. I mean, they keep the door shut when you're buck naked in bed, or having a procedure performed. 3. Everyone is genuinely interested in helping you recover your health so you can get back to your life. Cons: 1. Sometimes when you use the call button to summon some help, they might forget about you. (I'll grant that you might be trying to reach someone when it's super-busy, but this happens more often than I'd like to see. Surely there's a solution to this problem.) 2. The menu is BORING! There are only so many days a person can eat overcooked scrambled eggs and tough turkey sausage. Thankfully, you have a little wiggle room if you can get hold of their "Menu at a Glance" which has a few different options you can request by calling down to the dietary office. 3. I use CPAP therapy, but I was only allowed to use a hospital-approved machine. A very loud hospital-approved machine with a very ill-fitting face mask. I mean, it got the job done, and I didn't suffocate in my sleep, but... That's all I can say about that. All in all, it's been a good stay, if you can forget you're in a hospital. I realize that everyone's experience with TriStar Horizon may differ. We've all heard the horror stories about different facilities. As for my experience, it's been pretty good, no horror stories and only a few minor inconveniences. No major complaints. I'm happy I chose to be treated here. And I recommend them.

Response is immediate when needed and care by far the best. The dr's have been both knowledgeable and personable and the nurses are the best by far. Being a retired RN of 30 yrs., with 25 in nursing management , I feel I am more than adequately able to notice and recognize not only good nursing care but excellent . I am sorry for whomever judged your facility a 1 but you definitely do not deserve that! Thank you for everything.

My mother-in-law fell at home and crushed her ankle and broke her leg. She was taken to the E.R…read more and has been in great hands since her arrival. She had surgery on her ankle and has been in so far for 8 days. She cannot put any weight on it and will be in the hospital for about another 4 weeks. I do want to point out and highlight one employee especially who has gone way above and beyond in working with our family and that would be Tena one of the Social Workers. She is very friendly and goes out of her way to help any way she can. She has been working with us and following every lead and suggestion to try and help with the rehabilitation needed for my mother-in-law. She thinks outside the box and does not quit or give up. She is the best and I say kudos. The hospital is extremely fortunate to have an employee like Tena on staff. Thank you!

I went in due to a fall. My finger was going backwards when touched the gave me a xray. I was told…read moreit wasn't broken and to go to bone and joint if continued hurting or didn't stop going backwards. I explained that doesn't make sense to me. I received nothing for pain or anything. I left and didn't know none and joint had and emergency walk in come to find out I have 2 ligaments that are detached. Now I have to have surgery for repair. I feel like the quality of care is a 3 out of 10. I went due to pain and left hurt with no answers and had to ask after sitting so long to get my paperwork to go home

this was the worse experience I have ever had!! my 22 week pregnant daughter and I and her sister…read moreand boyfriend went to have her checked out cause she was in major pain. they were so slow and the security guard tried to kick my 16 year old daughter and the 18 year old boyfriend out cause he said they weren't of age so I leave the room with my pregnant daughter and went to see what was going on and told him they were with us and the nurse put them in there and he said they had to go cause they didn't know who I was (the mom) and why they were at the hospital. I told him what was going on and he told me I could leave his hospital too. I told him I needed to speak to someone else so I did she took his side her name was any.

Longest waiting period i've ever sat through for an emergency. you might as well die in the waiting…read moreroom. woman at front desk is a b*tch. sorriest hospital I've ever been too. people are leaving with medical emergencies because they dont want to wait 8 hours to be seen. they always have full rooms and very un organized. people are literally sitting in here crying in pain. i have to work tomorrow and people have others things they need to do besides rot in the waiting room.
