For those who know me, know my OCD is off the hook. It's very rare that I trust someone to do the…read moredishes for me let alone permanently tattoo something on my face for the world to see. LaToya totally eased all my anxiety and OCD-related worries about getting permanent brows done by fully including me in the process. Without even knowing about my anxiety and my OCD brain, the first thing she did was hand me a mirror and said, "Hold that mirror the whole time because you will be consulted about everything I do every step of the way." This immediately eased my mind. During the mapping process, LaTota asked all of the right questions such as "Do you like your eyebrows thick or thin?" "Do you like more of an arch or less of an arch" "Do you like the tail more or less tapered?" I showed her some of my own pictures where I liked the way my brows looked and she completely recreated the way I do my brows by just some of those simple questions. She used her expertise to map out the perfect shape of my eyebrows and opened it up for suggestions on how I may have wanted them to be adjusted. With no hesitation, she made the adjustments I requested (and even went back and fixed some of the less favorable adjustments I asked for. Lol). I do have to add that I have a complicated eye brow piercing and she actually tattooed it exactly the way I usually do my brows just by my feedback. LaToya has the patience of a saint and the best vibes ever!!! Throughout the tattooing phase, she gave me some colors to choose from and let me test each color on my skin. The one she suggested based off of her professional expertise was actually the one I loved the most. She checked for comfort throughout the tattooing, I didn't need any breaks because #1 she did a good job with the numbing cream, #2 I'm used to tattoos, and #3 after each pass through of darkening the eyebrows, she had me check in the mirror to make sure I was happy with the result. In the end, LaToya made sure to give extra special notice to touching up anything she felt necessary and provided everything I needed to leave comfortably. Her attention to detail, expertise, professionalism, warm and welcoming demeanor, and positive and inclusive vibe was much more than I could have ever asked for in a Master Paramedical Tattoo Artist. I can't wait to see her and work with her again at my follow up!!! The best part about all this, I'M SO HAPPY THAT I DON'T HAVE TO DO MY BROWS EVERYDAY AND THAT I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT SWEATING/RANDOMLY WIPING THEM OFF ANYMORE!!! P.S. My mom loved my brows so much that she has booked her appointment too!!!

She was very kind and walked me through exactly what would happen and how many sessions it may take to hide this scar that I have hated for years. It is such a personal thing I would not have felt comfortable talking to just anyone but her tone, and lack of judgement was just great. That alone would make me want to recommend her over and over again. The results are amazing. I now feel much more confident and the scars are no longer visible thanks to her! Pricing is reasonable and I am looking forward to going back for my brows! :)

While visiting in 2014 from Houston--my sister suggested Lasting Looks with Alma!! I could not be happier with my results--and the best thing is whenever I get waxed I'm never at risk of a bad job because my permanent lines keep the waxer honest!! Came back today for a little touch up--not required btw--I simply wanted to darken my pigments given I've begun to grey in my brows--and I wanted to add some more shape to the arch! (I had blepharplasty surgery on eyes which also lifted my brow line) Anyway--the makeup IS PERMANENT!! I'm so grateful my sister did her research prior to our journey--Alma is the truth!! Her experience and tenure in the industry is why I will ALWAYS come to her!! Our face is what the world sees--ensure you're putting your BEST forward!! Thank you Alma!!

If you are thinking you might want to try microblading with Kaylin, just go for it! I was nervous…read morehaving never done anything like this before, but Kaylin made me feel so comfortable during the whole experience. She also wore a mask for me, which I greatly appreciated! My eyebrows have always been thin and slightly farther apart than I liked. She shaped them beautifully and I couldn't be happier. They are seriously the eyebrows I never thought I could have without a ton of makeup. Kaylin is high in demand and books up quickly, so get on her schedule ASAP. You won't be disappointed!

To secure the appointment, I paid the required $100 deposit without thinking, eager to get started and take the plunge. Our initial communication was awesome, Kaylin was quick to respond and seemed to have good availability within a reasonable timeframe. I was definitely on the fence about the actual procedure, as I wasn't sure I wanted to commit to the permanent aspect of microblading - I think we have all seen bad examples of it, and I made the decision to not get it, independent of Kaylin's work. When I tried to cancel the appointment, explaining I changed my mind, 5 weeks before the scheduled time, I got a hard pushback about not getting my deposit back, which I thought was pretty frustrating given the ample time I had allowed for her to book another client. I don't appreciate that policy, given that our interaction was limited to a few text messages and for that, I'm out $100. I understand why she may not want to waste her time on people who end up being no-shows, but I think there should also be a level of discernment for each situation.

Her pen malfunctioned on my upper lip causing pain and inflammation and had to see a Dr. who prescribed an antibiotic series. I still have two scars. She also asked me to return product which was paid for so she could "check" what she had given me. She kept the serums and gave me a used replacement.
