My first appointment went great. The artist really took time to assess my face and skin type, and we decided on the Ombre Brow technique. I've never looked back! Now I go in every 2 to 2.5 years for a refresh and see Sara, who I absolutely adore. She's patient, detailed, and always makes sure I'm happy with the shape and color before we start. Now, let's talk pain. Yes, it's a tattoo on your face, so no, it's not completely painless. The outline and initial scratching definitely sting. But after that, numbing cream is applied and it's honestly not bad. It is more pressure than pain. I've even fallen asleep during the process because Sara's setup is so calming: soft music, cozy blanket, and one of the comfiest tables I've ever laid on. If you're on the fence, let this be your sign to go for it. Microblading (or ombre brows, in my case) has saved me so much time and given me such a boost in confidence. When I tried to cancel the appointment, explaining I changed my mind, 5 weeks before the scheduled time, I got a hard pushback about not getting my deposit back, which I thought was pretty frustrating given the ample time I had allowed for her to book another client. I don't appreciate that policy, given that our interaction was limited to a few text messages and for that, I'm out $100. I understand why she may not want to waste her time on people who end up being no-shows, but I think there should also be a level of discernment for each situation.
